The guards were returning now and Rirv had no other choice, but to abundant his mother's lifeless body, or at least he thought he didn't have any other option. Just as expected back at the base it was all about Lynx.

This was a common ceremony in Aldwere for the departed, when people died someone was given the decease's ashes. The person would then climb a ladder high above ground. They didn't burry bodies as when the flesh rotted it attracted monster and core beast. Lynx took his time climbing the ladder, when he was at the top, the air was a bit lighter and looking outwards there was nothing he could see.
