On one cold winter day, Aylin was huddled up on my bed with my blanket wrapped around her body like a tortilla wrap. Meanwhile, I was walking around in shorts and a T-shirt, eating ice cream. She asked me how I could even be enjoying cold food at a time when it was so frigid.
"It isn't that cold, you are just overreacting."
"No, you just have a warmer body."
"No, I don't. My body isn't warm at all."
Suspicious eyes gazed upon me as I said that, and Aylin pulled my arm and yanked me onto my bed.
She was on top of my body, pressing down on my chest with her weight. Her cold hands were gently placed on my cheeks.
"See? I told you, you were warm."
They got even warmer, and Aylin continued to rub my cheek with her hand.
"Wait… you are even warmer here!"
She shoved her hand down my back and held her gelid hands against my spine. My body shot up immediately as the cold was too unbearable. I grabbed her by both wrists and pinned her against the bed.
"Do that to me and I will have to punish you."
Her face blushed red as a tomato before she looking away trying not to make eye contact.
"Vivshi, I'm cold," she said with a squeaky silent voice.
But suddenly, I realized what situation I was in. I was on top of her, pinning both of her arms against my bed. I sighed and let go of her hands.
Aylin's eyes stared at me with disappointment as I stood up.
"If you are really that cold, then I can just make you a hot cup of cocoa."
Aylin nodded like a little kid and wrapped my blanket around her body again, looking a bit warmer than before.
As she was sipping her cup, she asked me if it was not a bit boring that we did not do anything after school.
It was true that we were just loafing around after class ended.
"How about we open up a club?"
"A club?"
"Yeah, just you and me!" Aylin nodded, smiling happily.
"What should our club even be about?"
Her face was resting on top of her knees, and the blanket covered her head. A muffled "I don't know" came from under the blanket.
I sighed and looked at her.
"You can't just say stuff without proper planning."
"Vivshi, I got it! I know what our club can be about! We will call it the Aeon Association Club! AAC for short!" Aylin said confidently, pointing a finger at me.
"And what will we, the AAC, do?"
"We will conduct research about Aeons and myths! Basically an Aeon fan club! Hehe…"
That did not sound like a bad idea, a place for people with an interest in Aeons.
"You know what, that doesn't sound bad."
Aylin grinned and nodded her head as I continued to compliment her idea.
"Well, do you know how to start up a club?"
Aylin froze in her tracks, turned her back toward me, and laid down.
"Goodnight."
"HEY!"
The next day, when Rentry came by, I asked him about how to open up a club. He raised his hand to his chin to ponder before saying that because of how many students applied for club establishments, the school had been forced to decline further applications.
"That's so unfair…" came muffled from under my pillow. Aylin was kicking her feet in frustration before laying completely still.
"There is always next year, unless…"
"Unless?"
"Wait here."
There was one person who could help me. One person who had more authority than anyone else. I stood in front of the head Professor's office and knocked.
"You searching for Professor Devina?" a teacher asked while walking past me.
"She's on her winter break. You should be able to find her at her residence if you urgently need something."
"And where is that?"
After a bit of running around Nautilus, I finally found Professor Devina's house. It was a decently sized house with cute cat decorations out on the porch.
As I stood there in the freezing cold, waiting for Devina to open the door, the first snowflake of the winter fell. More and more snowflakes followed. I reached out my hand to catch one, and when I finally did, the door opened and I saw the head Professor in a completely disheveled state.
Her hair was tangled and messy, her eyes were tired and dark, and her clothes were messy and all over the place, with her shirt not even fitting properly.
"Why are you disturbing me at 14:00 in the morning?"
"It's afternoon. But I came to ask you for assistance."
"I'm too slweepy for that… zzz…" Devina said, slurring her words.
"Come baaack later."
She gently closed the door and locked it.
All that searching was for naught, and now I had to wait for someone to wake up properly. But seriously, who wakes up at 2 PM?
3 hours later
I stood in front of Devina's residence again and waited for her to come to the front door. For four minutes, I stood there shivering, and I thought no one was home until I saw something moving through the window.
Devina was moving around and playing a board game all alone.
I tapped on the window and saw her look up in anger and annoyance. I could hear her stomping toward the door before opening it.
"About the assistance?"
Devina sighed and told me it had better be important enough to disturb her winter break.
"I wanted to open up a club."
"Couldn't you have waited until school started again?" she sighed.
"I thought I might not have time to get everything ready by the time school starts, and plus, everyone else also wants to start their own club, so the school closed down applications."
"So you basically want me to help you get your club started." Devina looked at me, her eye twitching with a hint of anger.
"I will help you."
"Really!?"
"On one condition. You must accept special missions from me if you start that club," she said, holding up a finger.
"Special missions?"
"Yes, personal requests from me."
"Like what?"
"I can guarantee you, it won't be that difficult."
I was still confused about what she meant by special missions, but if I could get our club started, then I was willing to do it. I agreed to her condition, and she smiled before a blue seal appeared around my neck. A blue seal appeared on hers as well.
"What the?" I tried to grab the ring around my neck, but it was already embedded in my skin.
"Don't worry. It's the seal of action."
She explained that when contracts are made, a seal is placed on both parties who agree to the terms. If anyone were to break these terms, it would result in a painful experience. They would continue to suffer until their promise was fulfilled.
"Now shoo, let me enjoy my free time." She waved me off.
"Don't worry about the club. I will write you an approval letter and send it in later."
"Thanks, Professor!" I smiled and waved back at her.
I returned to my dorm and told Aylin the news, and she jumped up and down with joy. She asked me several times if we were actually going to have our own little club together, and each time I said yes, she got even happier. For the rest of the evening, Aylin was all giddy and smiling
