An overwhelming hunger filled my mind as my mother tried to calm me down. I was salivating just from the sight of her infront of me as the Aeon of Freedom reacted wildly.
I finally realized that the Aeon of Freedom wanted to feast on her like it did to Devina's and Zerstörer's Aeons. The more Aeons it consumed the more uncontrollable it became.
Frantically I shook my head trying to shake off those inner thoughts of devouring my own mother. Desperately I grabbed onto the oozing flower and ripped it off my cheek. It's ominous aura started to fade as the flower wilted on the ground.
With a deep inhale I came back to my senses and held onto my mom's arms for support.
"That Aeon of yours Vivshi…"
She clutched her hands together worriedly and turned away.
"How about we get atleast a few hours of sleep before morning?"
How could I even think of personally consuming my own mother? Those thoughts weren't mine.
Morning came up quickly and I was the first one to get out of bed. I checked up on Aylin and saw that she had yet to wake up.
I gently stroked her cheeks again, even though they felt warm the warmth didn't penetrate into the soul.
This was no longer Aylin, this was just a soulless body. Had I yesterday just intervened when Aylin started to act weird…
Thoughts raced in my mind as I started to blame myself for what had transpired but then those words Aylin had said to me when we first met flooded back.
"Vivshi, please grant me freedom."
I stared at Aylin with heavy eyes. Was this really the freedom she meant?
A life where she was not stricken with a curse? A life where she can live peacefully? Or was this what she wanted?
"You always granted everybody's wishes but who granted you your wishes, Aylin?"
I grabbed onto her cold hand and squeezed it tightly.
