"I'm here to challenge your leader."
Lin Feng stepped forward, his voice calm but carrying a sharp edge.
"You're looking for me"
"Haha… what am I seeing? A Xiantian Third Grade cultivator as your leader?"
"How dare you insult our leader!" one of the men barked.
"Leader, show him what you're capable of!" another shouted.
They snickered quietly among themselves. This guy's already dead, they thought.
But before anyone could react—
Shing!
A blur of motion flashed by, and within a heartbeat, a head rolled across the ground.
"You talk too much," Lin Feng said flatly, flicking the blood from his sword.
The First Commander's eyes widened in disbelief. He killed him in a single breath… what kind of monstrous genius is this?
He quickly pulled out a communication talisman. I must report this to the upper echelons immediately.
Lin Feng's gaze turned toward him. "First Commander, how about this—let's settle it with a duel. One-on-one. Whoever loses surrenders."
He knew that if this turned into a full-scale battle, his side would suffer heavy casualties due to their lower cultivation levels.
The Commander chuckled. "You're clever. I agree—but it must be a life-and-death battle. No retreat. What do you say?"
"I agree," Lin Feng nodded. "And our men are not allowed to interfere."
"Deal."
The two men stepped forward. The air between them grew heavy.
"You seem confident, boy," the Commander said, drawing a long spear that gleamed with killing intent. "I wonder what trump card gives you such courage."
Lin Feng drew his sword slowly from its sheath—its edge humming faintly.
Bam!
The first clash shook the ground.
Their weapons locked in a stalemate, both men sliding backward slightly.
This guy is strong, Lin Feng thought. A normal Eighth Grade expert would've been blown away by that strike.
He exhaled sharply.
"Azure Sword Art — First Stance!"
Boom!
"Second Stance!"
Boom!
"Third Stance!"
Boom!
Each slash followed the last with merciless precision, giving the Commander no room to breathe.
"Fifth Stance!"
Boom!
The ground exploded, dust and debris rising like a storm.
When it cleared, the Commander stood there, clad in full armor, spear in hand, completely unharmed.
"You're strong," he said with a grin. "Strong enough to make me wear my armor. But now the real fight begins."
Lin Feng frowned. My attacks couldn't even scratch him… that armor—is it a Heaven-grade treasure?
The Commander's spear ignited with fiery qi.
"Fire Chaos Spear Art—Die!"
Lin Feng thrust his sword forward to meet him.
"Azure Sword Art—Kill Any Under Heaven!"
Boom!
Clang!
The sword struck the armor, leaving a faint dent, but the spear pierced Lin Feng's chest.
Bang!
He was sent flying backward, crashing into the ground. A gaping hole smoked in his chest.
Lin Feng's eyes widened. My body is as tough as a Heaven-grade treasure… that means his spear is at least Legend-grade!
Within a few breaths, the wound began to close. His flesh regenerated rapidly—his self-recovery ability had saved him once again.
The Commander stared in horror. What kind of demonic healing is that?!
Lin Feng rose to his feet. His aura shifted. The air trembled. The ground beneath him cracked as invisible pressure surged outward. His sword began to hum violently.
The Commander's expression changed. "Sword intent… you've comprehended sword intent!"
Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. He slashed downward.
Slash!
The strike was pure intent—no fancy technique, just raw will condensed into a blade.
"Hmph! Fire Chaos Art!" the Commander shouted, thrusting forward.
Bang!
The explosion threw the Commander backward. Blood sprayed from his lips.
So… sword intent causes internal damage, Lin Feng realized.
The Commander staggered, clutching his chest. The sword intent inside him rampaged wildly, colliding with his inner qi like two tigers in the same cage.
Lin Feng stepped forward again.
"Azure Sword Art — Kill Any Under Heaven!"
A dazzling white arc tore through the air. The Commander swung his spear downward.
Bang!
Both men were blasted nearly two kilometers apart.
Lin Feng coughed blood. The Commander crashed into the ground, his armor shattered.
Before he could recover, Lin Feng shot forward, his fist glowing with golden light.
"Dragon Fist!"
Bang!
The strike slammed into the Commander's face, teeth scattering in the air as he was sent flying like a cannonball.
Lin Feng followed up, his palm glowing faintly with mist.
"Cloud Palm—Splitting the Sky!"
Boom!
The Commander was smashed into the earth, buried two feet deep, his body broken and face unrecognizable.
"Commander!!" his men screamed.
"Attack them! Kill them all!"
Chaos erupted once again.
The Commander coughed blood but laughed hoarsely. "Hahaha… I didn't expect to be beaten this badly by a Third Grade expert. You've forced my hand!"
He took out a red pill from his spatial ring and swallowed it. His aura flared violently—his cultivation rising to half-step Heaven Realm.
Lin Feng's face darkened. "Bastard! What did you do?"
"I took a forbidden pill," the Commander grinned madly. "It boosts my cultivation by two levels temporarily. The side effects? Not your concern. It's enough to kill you!"
He lunged.
Bang!
Lin Feng was struck and sent flying, spitting blood.
I can't defeat him like this, he thought bitterly as more blows rained down. His body cracked, bones groaning under the pressure.
If not for his recovery ability, he would've died a dozen times already.
The Commander scowled. "This kid's self-recovery is monstrous… once I kill him, I'll find a way to take it for myself!"
Bang!
Lin Feng crashed into the ground, his body trembling.
"I have no choice… I'll use Master's life-saving talisman."
He pulled out a glowing talisman and poured his inner qi into it.
Boom!
An illusory figure appeared above him—a man holding a wooden sword, his presence overwhelming.
"The Saint Realm…" the Commander stuttered, terror flooding his face. He turned to flee.
"Disciple, watch carefully," the figure said softly.
He stomped once and swung the wooden sword. The air split open. A thin line of light cut through space—
Hiss!
The Commander's head flew off cleanly.
Lin Feng's eyes widened. "He killed him in one strike…"
The illusion turned to him. "Disciple, I see you've grasped sword intent. What I just used is the Arcane Level of sword intent. When you reach that level, you'll be able to cut through space itself."
As he finished speaking, the image faded.
Lin Feng looked down at his sword and smiled faintly. "Cut through space, huh… interesting."
He turned toward the battlefield—his killing intent reigniting.
Boom!
He shot forward like lightning.
