Chapter 108 - The Forbidden Sky

The Azure Sword World was vast beyond measure, yet every step Lin Feng took drew him closer to something older than existence itself.

The terrain had long lost its natural order — oceans hung suspended in the air like crystal mirrors, and mountains grew upside-down into the clouds. The horizon shimmered in a strange, silent twilight where time itself seemed to waver. The further he walked, the heavier the air became, until every breath pressed upon his lungs like the weight of the sky.

He knew he was nearing it — the place the Azure Sovereign himself once feared to tread.

Above the distant ridge, a deep, resonant hum began to pulse. Azure lightning streaked across the heavens, illuminating a massive rift splitting the sky from horizon to horizon. From within that wound of light, chains emerged — colossal, gleaming, divine.

Each was thicker than a mountain range and inscribed with countless luminous runes. They pulsed like veins, each rhythm echoing a different Heavenly Law: Life, Death, Space, Time, Karma, Fate, and Judgment. Together, they formed a prison around a fragment of divine brilliance — the sealed core of Heaven's law itself.

The Azure Sovereign's voice echoed faintly within Lin Feng's soul, like a memory carried on the wind.

"Here lies the fragment of the Heavenly Law that even I could not break… the very chains that bind creation. This is the Forbidden Sky. The Fourth Seal slumbers here."

Lin Feng's steps slowed. His azure eyes reflected the divine chains above, shimmering with defiance and awe. He could feel the oppressive majesty pressing down from the heavens — the same pressure that had once made gods kneel.

But his heart did not tremble.

He had walked through slaughter, faced sects, beasts, and heavens alike. Every trial had forged his will. Every scar had tempered his soul.

"Even the heavens are not flawless," he murmured. "If I must shatter them to walk my own path… then so be it."

His hand rose slowly, gripping the hilt of the Azure Sword. The blade trembled, resonating in recognition, azure flames curling around its edge like a living tide. The world around him fell silent, as though all of creation was holding its breath.

He exhaled once.

Then he swung.

The sword cleaved upward, releasing a torrent of azure fire that soared into the heavens. The flames coiled like dragons, roaring as they struck the divine runes. For a heartbeat, the light of the Heavenly Laws dimmed — and then the entire world shook.

A sound like the cracking of the cosmos thundered through the realm.

The first chain fractured.

Shards of golden divine energy rained down, burning the very air. Lin Feng's body trembled under the backlash. Blood spilled from the corner of his lips, but his eyes — his eyes blazed with fury and exultation.

"You dare resist me?" he growled, voice deep with the echo of something ancient. "Then I'll burn the heavens themselves!"

He slashed again.

And again.

Each strike was heavier than the last, fueled by his Sovereign Soul Flame and his dragon bloodline. His sword intent expanded until it covered the entire sky — an ocean of will colliding against divine decree.

The chains screamed as their runes flickered. The air tore apart in streaks of lightning and divine fire.

But as the final chain began to tremble, the Azure Sovereign's voice roared within Lin Feng's soul — urgent, warning, afraid.

"Enough, Lin Feng! The chains are not mere bindings — they are part of Heaven's Law! Break them all, and Heaven itself will answer!"

Lin Feng stood motionless for a long moment, breathing heavily, his body scorched and trembling. The azure flames around him burned brighter, wrapping him in a mantle of light.

Then he smiled — a cold, determined smile.

"If Heaven dares to chain truth… then I'll make it remember fear."

With a roar that shook the sword world, he leaped upward — every ounce of his cultivation, every shred of his will, pouring into the Azure Sword.

A dragon's roar thundered across the heavens.

Nine azure dragons burst from his body, intertwining into a single colossal spear of light. Lin Feng thrust it forward — straight into the heart of the Forbidden Sky.

BOOOOOOOM!

The heavens shattered.

The divine runes screamed and burned away, collapsing into motes of starlight. The last of the chains broke apart, freeing the fragment of the Heavenly Law that pulsed like a newborn sun.

But as its radiance spread, the air twisted, darkened — and a shadow fell across the realm.

Thunder boomed, deeper and older than sound itself. The light condensed into a humanoid form — vast, radiant, and terrible.

The air itself whispered with judgment.

Lin Feng felt his soul shake.

The Azure Sovereign's faint voice murmured within him, low and grave:

"You have summoned it… the Heavenly Reprimand. Prepare yourself, Lin Feng — for even gods bow before it."

The figure descended, its form half divine, half void. Its faceless head glowed with blinding law-light. When it spoke, its voice resounded like the tolling of eternity itself.

"Mortal inheritor of rebellion. You have broken divine law. For this sin — your existence shall be erased."

The air grew still.

Lin Feng raised his sword, eyes cold and burning. His azure flames flared, nine dragon shadows rising behind him.

"Erase me?" His voice was calm, unshaken. "Then come try."

The Heavenly Avatar extended its arm, and the sky split open. Divine beams of judgment descended like pillars, erasing everything they touched.

Lin Feng roared and charged forward, the Azure Sword trailing a comet of blue fire — the Sovereign Soul Flame igniting in full.

The heavens and the mortal will collided.
