Shera was still bickering with Remu, which made her the obvious next choice to invite into the party.
[Party Job Setting
Shera
Acquired Job: Villager Level 6, Explorer Level 1, Herbalist Level 1, Forest Ranger Level 5
Set Job: Forest Ranger Level 5]
I knew from the original story that Forest Ranger was an Elf-exclusive Job, something I had already confirmed when I saw Elfina had it as well. Still, I was eager to see the details for myself—since it was never mentioned in the main story at all.
[Forest Ranger
Effect: Increase Dexterity (Medium), Increase Agility (Small), Increase MP (Slight)
Skill: Magic Arrow]
Hmm… Magic Arrow. It must be the same skill Shera mentioned—the one that lets her create arrows out of thin air? The interface didn't show me any description, so the only way to know was to ask directly.
"Shera, can you tell me more about your Magic Arrow skill?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"Oh! My skill? It's super easy to use!" she said, her blue eyes sparkling. "I just pull the string on my bow and say the chant—then an arrow appears, like poof!" She mimed pulling an invisible bowstring, closing one eye as if taking aim. "Then I just let go—woosh!—it flies straight toward the demon!" she finished proudly, grinning from ear to ear.
I couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. "And how many can you make before needing to rest?" I asked next. I also wanted to gauge how long her casting time was, but that kind of detail might be hard for her to explain. I would just have to test it myself inside the Labyrinth later.
"Ah… that part." She scratched her cheek awkwardly. "Maybe five? After the fifth one, I start feeling all woozy and tired."
"I doubt you could even kill a single demon with just five weak arrows," Remu said with a mocking grin.
"Hey! That's not true!" Shera protested, puffing her cheeks. "If I hold my arrow longer and really concentrate, it goes pha!—and sometimes the demon even goes boom! They stumble back a lot, so it must be doing tons of damage!" She paused, scratching her cheek with a sheepish grin. "But… if I do that, I probably can't shoot more than two or three arrows before I get dizzy."
So her damage output scales the longer she charges the arrow, huh? Makes sense it would drain more mana, too. A risky but useful trick—good for burst damage if timed right. Though without an actual mana gauge in this world, that could backfire fast if she overdoes it. Hopefully she can cancel it mid-cast if needed.
"You don't have to worry about mana consumption," I reassured her with a smile. "We've got an unlimited stock of mana potions. And once you level up that job a bit, your mana pool will expand naturally—you'll be firing those arrows like a machine in no time."
Honestly, it was a relief knowing I wouldn't have to keep buying or crafting arrows for her. In fact, the Forest Ranger Job might actually turn out to be one of the most efficient in my party thanks to my unique setup. For most Labyrinth going parties, though, I could easily see why they wouldn't want a Forest Ranger in their midst.
There were still a few things I needed to ask Shera. The first was whether she knew a certain hooded Elf Wizard—one who had been staring at me during the auction when I bought her. But she had no clue who that person was, which was… disappointing, but something to file away for later.
The second question was for both Shera and Remu—about some names I remembered from How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. Thankfully, neither of them had ever heard those names before. That alone eased a huge weight off my chest.
Because if there really had been a Demon Lord sealed inside Remu, I needed to know.
Looks like this world had more differences than similarities with that story after all… and I hope it stays that way.
"See? Master said I'll be useful for him in the labyrinth!" Shera declared proudly, puffing out her chest—making her already massive breasts jiggle temptingly in the bathwater.
"Hmph, I'm still way more useful than you," Remu muttered, turning away with a flick of her hair.
Shera immediately tried to chase after her, splashing water everywhere, while my attention drifted toward another busty girl giggling at the scene.
[Party Job Setting
Shea
Acquired Job: Villager Level 5, Explorer Level 1, Herbalist Level 1, Swordsman Level 1, Warrior Level 1, Farmer Level 1, Swift Scout Level 1
Set Job: Swift Scout Level 1]
So this is the Swift Scout job, huh? I had suspected that it might be exclusive to Rabbitkin, which is how I will file it for now. I mentally clicked on it, eager to learn more.
[Swift Scout
Effect: Increase Agility (Medium), Increase Agility (Small), Increase Agility (Slight)
Skill: Sharp Hearing (Passive), Quick Escape (Passive) ]
Whoa, two passive skills? Not bad at all. Just from the names, I could already guess what they did. Sharp Hearing was probably what let Shea detect demons from a distance with those long rabbit ears of hers—kind of like how Roxanne used her sense of smell, but in her case, it was sound.
And Quick Escape… well, the name said it all. Probably some kind of speed-boosting reflex that let her bolt out of danger in a flash—probably like the Escape Goat demon from the labyrinth. And if that was really true then it certainly became clear why Rabbitkin had such a reputation for being "cowardly" in this world too.
Still, both sounded incredibly useful. There wasn't much point asking Shea about them, though—they were passives, so she likely had no idea how they worked. I would just have to study her closely and figure out their exact effects myself.
But I had a few other questions for Shea—mainly about some names from the Arifureta story.
"Sorry, Master… I haven't heard any of those names. And honestly, I'm really bad at remembering names, hehe," she said with a sheepish smile, scratching her cheek.
I caught Anastasia rolling her eyes beside her, probably muttering useless rabbit in her mind. Well, fair enough—but at least that meant Arifureta wasn't part of this world… probably.
Turning away from the bunny girl, my gaze landed on the Oni twins, Ram and Rem, who were enjoying the bath with bright smiles on their faces.
[Party Job Setting
Ram
Acquired Job: Villager Level 5, Explorer Level 1, Herbalist Level 1, Swordsman Level 1, Warrior Level 1, Oni Warrior Level 3
Set Job: Oni Warrior Level 3]
[Party Job Setting
Rem
Acquired Job: Villager Level 4, Explorer Level 1, Herbalist Level 1
Set Job: Villager Level 4]
The difference between the two was obvious. Ram had already unlocked her race-specific job—Oni Warrior—while Rem was still stuck as a Villager.
Since Villager Lv.5 was one of the base requirements for many jobs, it made sense she hadn't unlocked it yet. Even if she met every other condition, until she leveled up that Villager job, she wouldn't acquire the Oni Warrior job.
I wanted to reassure her that she would probably unlock it soon while being in my party… but without knowing the exact conditions, it would just be premature on my part. So I decided to keep that thought to myself. Better to let her naturally reach Level 5 first—then I would see if the Oni Warrior job appears in her job list.
Either way, my curiosity got the better of me and I eagerly clicked on Ram's Oni Warrior job.
[Oni Warrior
Effect: Increase Strength (Medium), Increase Endurance (Small), Increase HP (Small)
Skill: Battle Lust (Passive), War Cry]
Two skills—one passive and one active. Interesting.
Battle Lust, even from the name alone, sounded like the reason why people avoided forming parties with an Oni. According to Anastasia, they could sometimes attack their own allies when enraged, so if I had to hazard a guess, then this passive clearly came with a dangerous drawback. I would have to keep a close eye on Ram in future battles to see exactly how it worked.
"Ram, Rem—do either of you know anything about the skill War Cry? It's listed as an Oni Warrior skill," I asked curiously.
"I've heard people in my village say that it can be used to intimidate enemies," Ram replied confidently. "But only powerful Oni Warriors can actually use it."
Rem, on the other hand, lowered her head the moment I mentioned Oni Warrior.
So War Cry was likely a form of crowd control—maybe a fear or stun effect? If that's the case, that's huge. But does "intimidate" mean it just lowers morale, or does it actually petrify enemies? I would have to see it in action to know for sure.
"Does a chant come to your mind when you speak that name?" I asked knowingly.
"Yes, Master—but I don't know Brahim well enough to recite it clearly," Ram admitted with a small sigh.
"Oh, don't worry! Master can help you with it," Roxanne said proudly, puffing out her chest. "He helped me master my Beast Strike skill too."
"Is that true, Master?" Ram asked, her crimson eye shining with curiosity.
"Yes," I said with a smile. "Soon, you both should be able to use that skill yourselves."
"Did you hear that, Rem? Master said both of us," Ram said with a wide grin.
"Yes, Nee-sama… I—I did," Rem replied shyly, her cheeks faintly red.
"Thank you, Master," they said in perfect unison.
Their synchronicity always amazed me—it was like the twins shared a single heartbeat.
Looks like I will have to test both of their skills inside the Bedroom and the Labyrinth soon.
From the way Ram casually mentioned her village, it seemed safe to assume it hadn't been wiped out like in the Re:Zero story. Still, I couldn't resist asking them the same set of names I had asked Anastasia earlier—just to be sure.
Both of them shook their heads, saying they hadn't heard any of those names—nor had they ever heard of witches before today.
Anastasia, however, shot them a curious glance, probably realizing I had asked the same strange list of names to them that I had to her earlier.
Thankfully, none of the girls had questioned why I was asking those strange names—or who they were supposed to be.
A small blessing, really… because I wasn't quite ready to come up with another lie for that.
As I was about to invite Yasaka & Kunou next into my party, my attention was very conveniently diverted — by a sight that could only be described as divine.
Shera and Shea were both holding up Vesta's massive breasts — each using both hands to lift one like they were weighing melons at a fruit market.
Vesta, meanwhile, was blushing furiously, trying to hide her face as they admired her proportions.
And me? I was doing my best not to drool. My throat felt dry just looking at them.
To make matters worse, both Roxanne and Setsuna were practically plastered to my sides, their soft, wet bodies pressed against me. Their breasts rubbed against my arms with every tiny movement, and their tails kept brushing against my leg, teasing me mercilessly.
The one thing I did know was that I needed to wrap up this bath session fast — because the next destination was obviously the big bed in my room!
That thought immediately brought up a new problem though… I would have to choose who gets to sleep with me tonight.
As much as I would love to take them all at once — let's be real, even with my stat-boosting system and multiple Jobs, I am still a man, not a machine.
It was already late, and after the day I have had, I am not sure I could survive a full-on "eighteen-girl raid."
Last night I managed five — and that was with most of them being first-timers and Roxanne not even joining in. Sure, I didn't exactly hit my limit… but I wasn't eager to test it again tonight.
So, yeah — six girls. That feels like a fair, reasonable number. Enough to make it memorable for everyone, and not just a chaotic stamina test.
Roxanne, of course, was an obvious pick — my number one slave, there's no way she wouldn't be included.
Second spot goes to Setsuna, who is practically glued to me tonight anyway. After everything she has been through, I want her to have something nice to dream about.
And the third… well, Vesta. I mean, come on — there are two huge reasons I can't say no to her.
As for the rest… honestly, with these many gorgeous girls around me, choosing just three more was going to be the hardest decision I have ever faced!
