Ivy woke up earlier than usual that Monday morning. She wanted to go over to Carter's and be over with the apology since she had not exactly slept well because of it.
The guilt of not only leading him on but also having him walk in on her kissing Gabe was killing her and she needed to go apologize to him. She didn't mind going there to wait until he arrived, that was if he had not slept there as he usually did.
Ivy sighed as she stood up from her bed and walked into her bathroom to freshen up. As she freshened up, she couldn't help recalling what Gabe had said to her but she quickly shoved the thought off her mind. Today was about Carter, not Gabe. She told herself.
Seeing him off to the airport with her sisters the previous day had not been as awkward or difficult as she envisioned. Perhaps it was because of the knowledge that she wouldn't be seeing him in a long time or something, but she had been able to act like her normal self and had even given him a hug.
