"I knew one of them made the first move. You've always been too shy and introverted to do it yourself." My dad joked as the story of how we all got together came to an end.
They had actually waited patiently with smiles on their faces while we all took turns telling our parts of the story. They did not like to interrupt people while they were speaking, but they sure as hell loved talking people's ears off afterwards, which was kinda endearing if I was being honest.
"I can't believe some little punk hurt such a lovely woman. I'm not one for violence, but I'm glad we raised you right, and you put him on the ground." My mom said, a hint of anger in her voice.
"He was my knight in shining armor." Liz said with a dreamy smile that made me blush a bit.
"It was super cool... and hot..." Nadia said, whispering the last part, but my mom heard it anyways and started laughing.
"See honey? What did I say? All you had to do was put yourself out there, and you'd find a girl pretty fast. And well... you doubled that." My mom said, smiling at my two girls.
After hearing more about them, and about why they fell for me, my parents began warming up to them pretty quickly. They were good at reading people, and my girl's obvious and genuine affection for me shone through, and it made it even easier to accept my unconventional relationship with the both of them.
"Still, Elizabeth, the fact that is was your mother that helped start all of this is crazy to me. I never even thought of this as a possibility for my him. Not once. Hell, the whole thing is still weird, and yet... you all care about each other so much. I think.. that's enough for me." My dad said, giving me a smile and a wink, "You must be tired, though. Hell, after only a few minutes with just your mother, I-"
My mom abruptly smacked my dad on the back of the head, causing him to wince. Liz blushed, while Nadia and I chuckled lightly. My lack of a filter in most situations came from this man right here, and rather than be embarrassed about it, I just found it funny. That's just who he was.
"You don't have to worry about that one bit." Nadia said with a smirk, and then yelped when Liz pinched her thigh.
"Yes. Maybe save some things for the privacy of the bedroom." My mom said, glaring at my dad, who just shrugged, causing her to sigh, "Anyways... it is cute. You two being best friends, not wanting to upset the other... to make the other sad... it strangely makes a lot of sense after talking with the both of you. Plus you both clearly love my boy."
"With everything I am." Liz said immediately.
"More than words can describe." Nadia said only a moment later, and my mom smiled softly.
"Then that's all that matters to me." She replied, and my dad nodded.
"We did our best to raise the best man we could. Never thought it would pay off like this, but... I'm happy for you son. I'm happy for all of you. You both are very sweet, and I can tell you'll take good care of our boy." My dad said, and his words made my eyes sting a tad.
"And he takes good care of us. He is the best man I've ever met." Liz said, a soft smile directed at me.
"He always puts us first, and treats us so gently and cares for us so much... sometimes I feel like I'm dreaming." Nadia said as she interlocked her fingers with mine, and I squeezed hers back.
"If it's a dream, then I never want to wake up." I said, causing her to smile, and give me a quick peck. A second later, I turned a shade of red and thought, "Did I really say that embarrassing shit in front my parents?"
"So cute." My mom said with a fond smile, "I' definitely want to meet your parents at some point as well. They raised some wonderful women."
That caused both of my girls to give nervous smiles, no doubt imagining their wild mothers interacting with mine, but the joy that they felt from my mom's words was very much present.
"That would be... interesting..." Nadia said carefully, her face flushing as she thought about it.
"Yeah..." Liz echoed, the thought almost making me burst out laughing.
"Son," My dad said, his voice serious as he looked at me, "I am very happy for you, and for these two lovely ladies, but I'm curious about something. You said something that made it seem like you were going to flip our world upside down or something."
My mom nodded, and looked at us all questioningly.
"I will admit, you being with more than one woman is a little mind bending and not something I ever expected... but it's not something that we can't adapt to. I mean, I think you both are very wonderful ladies, and you obviously love my boy. I can't say anything against that." She said, and that warmed all of our hearts. She truly was my biggest supporter.
Even still, when I looked at my girls, and they gave me determined nods, I knew it was time. I debated this for a while, whether I should tell them or not, and ultimately? Yeah, I was going to. I didn't want to lie to them, but it was more than just that. The world was more dangerous than I thought, and given as such, I felt that the more they knew, the safer they could be. Knowledge was powerful, and if telling them might keep them safer, it was worth it to me.
"Okay..." I began, completely unsure of how to go about this, "So like, what if I told you that there were some things that you thought weren't real, but actually are?"
My parents looked confused, and my mom actually began to look a little worried.
"Wait, you're not going to say you're not with these girls, are you?? I'm starting to really like them." She said, and I didn't expect that at all. I held up my hands.
"No! I mean, yes." I said, running a hand through my hair, "I am with both of them, mom. That's not what I was getting at."
She actually sighed in... relief? Goddamn, I really shouldn't have been worried about that. My girls were too lovable, which made a lot of sense.
"Son, don't beat around the bush now. Just come out with it. I've seen some strange shit in my time, so just tell us." My dad said, and that was just like him. He was a very "to the point" kinda guy.
"Sid, how should we do this?" Liz asked me, her question conveyed by Nadia as well, and well, I just decided my dad was right.
"Mom, dad, there are things that are on TV, in books, in mythology... things, people, creatures, powers... the paranormal. What if I told you that a lot of that was real?" I said, and my parents furrowed their brows.
"Paranormal as in like, ghosts? I like those ghost hunting shows, but the rest seems a little far-fetched, if that's what you mean." My mom said, my dad nodding along.
"I think it's all pretty cool, but I mean, there's no actual proof. No tangible proof, anyways. Are you trying to tell us that this stuff actually exists? Do you have proof, son?" My dad asked, and I thought he'd be like that.
He was a pretty big skeptic, but the reason I respected him so much is that he didn't immediately rule everything out. Even still, there was a lot of skepticism in his tone, as there was with my mom.
"Well... you know what they say?" I said, standing up and straightening my posture, "Seeing is believing."
I had been worried enough about things that didn't come to pass. Part of my worried if they'd be scared of me, or if they'd fear what I now knew I was, but if today told me anything, it was that my parents were even more amazing than I had realized. They accepted my two loves, even if they didn't fully understand it. Granted, this was a bigger leap, but... well, I guess we'll have to see.
So, with that thought, I deactivated my enchantment, and let the illusion fade. My form blurred, and my true self rippled outwards. My mom covered her mouth and gasped as my hair turned stark white, my eyes crackled with electricity, and my already impressive bulk gained a bit more mass. My dad's eyes widened, and he sat up straight as he took me in. For added effect and to further prove my point, I sent sparks traveling across my body, but my eyes never left theirs.
"Is this proof enough?" I asked, watching the wheels and gears turn behind their eyes.
"Holy shit..." My dad breathed, looking at my appearance, focusing on the power I was displaying.
"I don't believe this... this can't be real... how is this real?" My mom asked, her logical brain warring with what her eyes were seeing.
"I debated on whether I should tell you both... and all three of us decided that we should. I don't like keeping secrets from eirher of you, and you both deserve to know the truth." I said, my eyes meeting theirs with a gentle smile on my face.
"How the hell is this possible??" My dad asked, his brain seemingly working in overdrive to explain the situation, but no logical explaination was forthcoming.
My mom was now eyeing my women, her eyes darting rapidly between them both.
"Girls. Go ahead." I said, and they both nodded at me as they too let the illusions drop.
My dad just stared in incomprehension while my mother gasped. My girls forms quickly resolved themselves into their true appearance. Liz, my beautiful green eyed elf, and Nadia, my adorably sexy kitsune with her red and orange eyes. Liz wore that same delicate smile on her face, her ears pointing out way past her hairline where they slightly twitched. Nadia's 4 fluffy tails swished back and forth nervously while her ears also twitched on top of her head, and she was biting her bottom lip from the nerves she was feeling. I sent her feelings of assurance and confidence, which made her stop biting her lip and stand a little straighter.
"Mom, dad, as you can probably tell, the world is a lot larger than you could have possibly imagined, myself included. So many things that we thought of as just fantasy, superstition, paranormal... it's real. I found out not too long ago that I was one of them myself," I said, then pulled Liz to my side, "And it started with her."
I then went on to explain my introduction to this world, and to their credit, despite the bewildered expressions on their faces, they listened to me with wrapped attention. My dad actually let out a little satisfied snort when I told him about when I fucked up Randall, adding the full context of how the fight went. My mom still looked angry that he had hurt Liz, and then hurt me. That made me smile. They were still my doting parents, even now.
I recounted a few more events that we already talked about, but this time I added the paranormal context that I had previously left out. I could have just told them all of this right away, but it was really important to me that Liz and Nadia got in their good graces before anything else, and I truly think that at this point, they were. My dad actually slapped his hand on the table when I told him about the incident at the bank.
"I knew something was fishy about that!" He said, his hands gesticulating wildly, "I was watching the news coverage when that happened, but all of the footage on the news kept getting taken off the air on every channel. Then, when I tried to look it up, I found nothing other than the police had handled it. No mention of how it was taken care of or anything."
I nodded at him, a bit of my fury showing on my face.
"Yeah... they were hurting innocent people. The guy in charge was threatening a child... I couldn't just watch." I said with a slight growl, but I calmed when my girl put a hand on each of my thighs.
"Easy babe." Liz said sweetly.
"That's just who you are." Nadia added with pride.
"It would be like you to do that... my sweet boy." My mom said, her bewilderment being replaced by her motherly affection.
My parents were both thankfully beginning to calm down quite a bit by now, just listening as I talked about everything. We all laughed as Liz and Nadia told them about things like our dates, but they also got really emotional as they just told my parents how wonderful I was, and how I was raised by wonderful people. I may or may not have shed a tear or two myself.
The real tension came when I told them about the demons I fought. The girls and I debated back and forth between the bond on whether or not we should even tell them, but in the end, I wanted to. This new world I was keying them in on was just as dangerous as it was wonderful, and plus... I wanted them to know what I was... even if I fully didn't understand it myself. My mom gasped.
"That earthquake was you??" She exclaimed, and I nodded.
I told them about the fighting, about the dangers, about the sadness and grief of finding that couple, and about fighting the two greater demons and the demon lord. My dad actually got really fucking pissed when Liz told them about how she almost died. Hell, I got pissed all over again. My mom looked like she was about to cry. By the end of the story, they were speechless for a little while, as was I. I was content with just waiting until they were ready to speak again.
"Son, you might just be the bravest man I know. To face something like that... and to win..." My dad said, getting lost in thought after that.
"This... demon... said you were a God? Like, the All Mighty?" She asked, and I just strugged.
"I don't really know... I don't know which God, or Gods he was talking about. Could be that, could be from world Mythology, or it could be something else entirely, but he made it pretty clear that there were more than just one God." I replied, hating that I had to make them question their beliefs and worldview.
Before this, I would say that I was agnostic at the very least, but... kinda hard to say that now when I was quite literally a fucking God. My parents though were raised and still practiced Christian values, and I respected that. They never pushed it on me, and told me that I should be free to make my own decisions when it came to my worldviews, and my take on religion or religious figures.
"You could have been killed... all of you..." My said after a moment, tears streaming down her cheeks at this point.
I stood up and made my way over to her. I knelt down in front of her and embraced her. She hugged me tightly, clutching me like she'd never let me go again.
"But I didn't. And despite everything that happened, it had to be done. I'm stronger because of it, and I'm closer with the two I love because of it." I said softly, my own tears falling as I heard the pain in my mom's sobs.
Before I knew it, more arms wrapped around us as my girls joined in, hugging us from both sides, while my dad began to rub her back soothingly. My mom opened her arms up wider and pulled my girls into her even more. They were getting pretty emotional too, and through the bond, I could tell just how much seeing my mom like this effected them. They already loved her, as I knew they would. She was literally the best, after all.
My mom was able to stop herself from crying after a few more minutes, and she looked up, grabbed my cheeks, and kissed my forehead. The feeling that gave me was one I'd always cherish, and I hated that some people actually felt embarrassed when moms did stuff like that. I welcomed it, every single time.
"I don't want you to put yourself in that kind of danger... I really don't..." She said, wiping at her eyes, "But I know that heart of yours all too well."
I smiled softly at that.
"I learned all of it from the best." I said, making her laugh.
"It all makes sense now..." My dad said suddenly, recovering from the stuper he was in.
"What does?" I asked, curious about his tone.
"Well... a lot of things. Like, remember the time when you were... I think 5 or 6, and you walked into the sliding glass door because you didn't know it was closed?" He asked, pointing at the door in question, and I blinked and focused, trying to remember, and just as I recalled that day, he finished his sentence, "You walked right through the damn thing, like it was thin ice or something. Shattered it completely, and you didn't have a scratch on you. I was so damn baffled by it..."
My mom's brow furrowed, and then her eyes widened as she recalled something as well.
"I remember when you were about 3 or so. I was in the basement looking for something. A can of corn or something? I don't remember, but what I do remember is you calling for me, and then a bunch of loud thuds. I turned to see you tumbling down the stairs. I screamed and freaked out as I ran over to you..." She said, but her face now looked thoughtful and amused, "I picked you up off the ground, and you just... started giggling and hugged me. You were perfectly fine..."
Then, to my surprise, she started to laugh.
"Wow. It makes so much sense now. Everything does. Like when you fell off your bike, and rolled down the hill, only to coming running back up like nothing happened?" She added to the list.
"I remember a lot of things. I noticed how I was always... unnaturally strong and resilient, but I never talked about it. I figured no one would believe, or that some secret government would steal me away." I said, and my dad nodded firmly at me.
"Smart boy. That shit happens. I can't believe I didn't think about any of that more... given everything you told us... damn that's crazy." He said, then chuckled, "My whole damn world has changed so fast that I don't know how to take it."
"I wanted you both to know. All three of us did. Not telling you felt like lying... and I could never lie to either of you." I told them, and they both smiled.
"Honest men are the best kind." My dad said, with my mom humming in agreement.
I also noticed how my mom kept staring at Liz and Nadia, and they both looked a little nervous under her gaze.
"Wow." She said after a moment, looking between them, "You two are impossibly gorgeous, aren't you?" She said, making them both blush furiously.
"Oh... why thank you, ma'am." Liz said with red cheeks.
"That's very kind of you to say, Mrs. Wilson." Nadia said, her cheeks just as bright.
"Oh no." My mom said, wagging her finger at both of them, "As long as you are with my boy, I am 'mom,' understand?" She scolded them, making me chuckle. That's just a universal mom thing I guess.
"Yes ma- uh, mom." Liz corrected, making my mom smile.
"Thank you... mom." Nadia said softly, but my mom's smile was radiant.
"Of course my dears." My mom said, and then she looked nervously at my kitsune, Nadia... may I... feel them...?" My mom asked, sounding a little excited as she pointed to Nadia's ears and tails.
"Oh! Um, sure!" Nadia said quickly, nervousness and excitement filling her as well.
My dad scooted over, allowing space for Nadia to sit. She did so, bringing her tails to sit in her lap. My mom eagerly reached over, and began running her fingers through Nadia's furry tails. The touch was so delicate that my kitsune practically melted, closing her eyes as my mom brought her other hands up to feel her ears next. Nadia leaned over, and I was both surprised and feeling warm on the inside as she leaned her head against my mom's shoulder. My mom was smiling ear to ear.
"You are lovely, aren't you? The fur so soft, and well taken care of. Everything about you is just so cute." She said, and then began to chuckle, "I can't believe I'm living in a world where I'm petting my son's girlfriend's ears and tails. Sorry, ONE of my son's girlfriend's ears and tails."
For Nadia's part, I could have sworn that she was actually going to become a puddle. She absolutely loved it when I pet her fur like that, and my mom had an even gentler touch than me. It almost was enough to make me feel a little jealous, but I could never feel that way about my mom.
For my dad's part, he was actually smiling as well, probably finding the scene just as cute as I was.
"I don't want to do all of that, but it is making me curious?" My dad said, and with a small thump, one of Nadia's tails landed right on his lap, as she no doubt understood what she meant, "Oh... shit... uh, okay."
He felt the fur as well, but only enough to feel how soft and silky smooth it was.
"Damn, that is really soft. It's kinda soothing in a way." He said, running a hand over the appendage, but with care.
Both of my parents were curious about many things. Despite not being fuzzy, my parents wanted to feel Liz's ears as well, and she let them, but she blushed and her ears twitched furiously as they did so. My dad was very quick about it, no doubt because they were my girlfriends and he didn't wanted to be weird about it. I appreciated his effort, but my dad was not that kinda guy, so it didn't bother me at all. He was one of the most respectful guys I'd ever known, so it made a lot of sense.
My mom on the other hand was practically gushing over my girls at this point. She actually rubbed and stroked Liz's ears in a way that didn't make her feel uncomfortable or overstimulated, and she actually closed her eyes and sighed from the gentle touch.
"Sid, I love them both. They're both dolls!" My mom swooned, making the girls blush once again, and then she looked at me, "They're perfect. Just like my son."
Now it was my turn to blush, but her words did make me smile. My dad suddenly reached over and squeezed my bicep, his eyes widening.
"Holy hell son... you're like you're a rock." He said, making me laugh.
"Yeah, my transformation came with a lot of perks." I said, and now it was my turn for my mom's attention as I felt her run her fingers through my long hair.
"The color is beautiful honey. And your eyes are dashing." She said, looking like a proud mother, "And your face. You always were my handsome little man, but this look is not bad on you. Not bad at all." She finshed her sentence by winking at my girls.
My entire face felt aflame. My girls were the same way, although I got more of a feeling of amusement from them, but also a deep sense of respect, care, and love. They did like and respect my dad a lot, but both of them had practically fallen in love with my mother. I knew they would. She was a bit more normal than their moms, but no less loving. Hell, I loved both of their moms even more because of how ridiculous they were, but I could see how that being all of the time could get old for them.
"Say, son," My dad said, grabbing my attention, "You mentioned powers, and magic, or whatever. I seen that little sparkle show you put on, but I kinda want to see more. I want to see these powers of yours. From all of you."
"Oh, that does sound like fun, doesn't it?" My mom asked, still absently petting Nadia's tails.
I grinned at the both of them.
"Hey girls, you want to put on a little show?" I asked, and I felt excitement traveling through our bond at the chance to show my parents something cool.
We all stood up, my parents actually looking pretty excited now. This whole thing had gone above and beyond my expectations, as they not only took all of the news in stride, but they were now more eager than ever to learn more. They accepted my girls with open arms, and they learned about the magical world while staying opened minded and level headed. As we headed outside, I couldn't help but grin at the thoughts of what we could show them. The nearest neighbor was a little ways away, so as long as we didn't cut loose to much, we could have a real show of this. Still, out of every thought I was having, one of them was the most important of all to me.
"It's so damn good to be home."
