Chapter 31 - Re: That Time My Mother Got Turned into a Monster! – Chapter Thirty

I looked at the medallions I and the other sisters had spent hours upon hours working on. With the help of the nuns, I finally managed to create something I could be proud of. I was impressed with myself, considering I wasn't very good at these types of things. Despite that, I found great satisfaction in completing the task. It reminded me that even if I wasn't the best at something, I could still find a way to make it work. I felt content as I held the medallions in my hands. It was a huge relief to be done, and I could only imagine how much relief my companions would feel knowing that they had their medallions for protection.

The nuns provided plenty of assistance and guidance during the medallion creation process. I felt confident that I could repair or even craft a new one if needed in the field. It was also reassuring to know that the nuns were always willing to lend a helping hand if needed. I was glad I had the opportunity to learn these skills and become a more capable part of the team. With the knowledge and skills I gained from crafting these medallions, I believed I could help if our team's supply of medallions were depleted or damaged during a battle. I only wished that we never had to face such a situation. Still, at least I felt confident in my abilities to do what was necessary should the need arise.

I carefully placed the amulet around Mum's neck, savoring the moment she saw it for the first time. She seemed pleased with my attention to detail, and I knew she was happy to be by my side. A sense of peace and contentment came over me, and I couldn't help but imagine how much further we would go on our journey together. She had always been my biggest supporter, and seeing how happy she was wearing a medallion explicitly crafted for her was wonderful. It was an emotional moment, and I felt a deep sense of pride in being able to create something that brought her so much joy. For now, this gift was a token of affection and appreciation for everything my mother had done for me, and it felt like a small symbol of just how much I cared for her and our bond.

I turned towards Constance, placing the medallion carefully around her neck. Almost at the moment, the medallion was around Constance's neck; I could sense something in her mind shifting. There was a renewed sense of purpose there, and I knew it meant she would not be just another monster to be hunted and killed. This medallion gave her a clear objective and one that would keep her safe. I also thought that it would help to cement our bond. Constance was not just another monster to me and never would be. She was my companion and someone I cared for. Constance now had a reason to live and a reason to fight. She wasn't just another monster to be hunted and killed; she was so much more. I could feel the depth of her emotions, and I knew that this simple act had given her so much meaning. I couldn't wait to see how she would use the medallion and what effects it would have on our adventures.

I felt a rush of excitement as I watched her face, a sense of shared accomplishment and hope for the future of the monsters. It was as if we had just made a significant breakthrough that would change the very nature of monster and human relations. I stood back, observing the transformation that had taken place. I saluted Mum and Constance, bowing deeply before them. I greatly appreciated their assistance and knew that we would all need one another in the future more than ever. As I bowed, I had a more profound sense of respect for the two monsters taking hold. I felt a solemn vow take place inside me, one which would carry us all through to the journey's end. We had already proven that monsters and humans could work together, and I knew that as a team, we would all need each other on the journey ahead. Through our hardships, we could overcome anything that life threw our way. I knew that we would all need each other on the journey ahead.

"Thank you for being by my side, Mum! Thank you for becoming my partner Constance! I will do my best to save every last monster that seeks to return to being a human. I promise to set free those monsters that have descended into madness and evil!" I said adamantly.

I knew it would be difficult, but I was determined to succeed. I had to help the monsters, and I knew that Mum and Constance would be there to help me every step of the way.

Mother Superior Euphemia explained, "Now that this task is completed, go find your new comrades and report to Second Adjunct Ishimoto Sozen. He'll help you register and formally establish your new squad. After that, I believe you'll be departing. For your first mission, Sisters Rachael, Diane, and Faye will accompany you along with one other Sister. This is an E-ranked mission so the threat level is low. Sister Antoinette will brief you on your mission."

"Yes, ma'am!" I said firmly. "I will report to Second Adjunct Ishimoto Sozen immediately!"

"Instructor Ishimoto should be on the first floor in the west hall at the vehicle maintenance shop," Sister Rachael said. "We will meet you there."

I waved for Constance and Mum to follow. The two monsters looked human now, and they could blend in effortlessly. Seeing that made me feel inspired to find a way to turn both of them back into humans. Elara was waiting not far from away. I was unsure if she was playing with two medium-sized dogs or wolves. One had orange fur, and the other's coat was white. As I drew closer, the two creatures turned and growled at me. I stopped dead in my tracks. A cold shiver ran down my spine. 'Oh, shit… those are fox demons!' My mind went back to that time Allen and I faced an entire pack of black fox demons. Elara patted both of their heads, and they calmed down. Mum and Constance didn't seem worried about the beasts.

"Don't worry Adam, these girls won't hurt you. They just are overprotective of their new friend, ME!" Elara chirped.

I caught a glimpse of another Sister with bright red hair peeking out of her veil hanging down her back, her smile as radiant as her hair color. She was smiling, just like the other Sisters I had met before. Like the other Sisters I had met, she wore a matching ensemble. I was deeply impressed by the unity and harmony that their outfits had created. It was an exquisite look that perfectly suited them, the colors matching their eyes and the various decorations accentuating their personalities and giving them a sense of identity and individuality. I was struck by how similar they all looked. It made me wonder if they were selected specifically for their appearance. I couldn't help but notice that each Sister was just as beautiful as the next. It was interesting to see how similar they all were. Yet, each possessed their own unique personality to distinguish them from one another. I couldn't help but admire the care they put into creating that perfect image, which I had come to associate with the Sisters.

Also, like the other nuns, I noticed her corpulent bosom was very busty, and the thin robes barely hid her impressive ample size. Like the other nuns, she was beautiful yet had an allure all her own. She did, however, appear to have made a different fashion choice, choosing to wear white pantyhose with tan booties. Such minor detail set her apart from the other Sisters, giving her a more unique look. It had its own charm to it. Despite her more outgoing choice of attire, she still maintained the same level of elegance as the others. I had to admit that I was curious to know more about her and her personal style. Her pantyhose did little to hide the generous size of her figure, and I couldn't help but feel curious as to why she was different from all the others. It was as if the Sister had some sort of secret that made her stand out from the rest. I wondered if she was somehow more important or if her appearance had been a deliberate choice. Whatever the case, it was hard not to notice the contrast between her and the others.

I took a moment to observe her curves, noting the wide hips, childbearing thighs, and long slender legs that added to her Junoesque appearance. Every curve of her body was stunning, including her gorgeous round callipygous peachy buttocks. It was impossible to miss the womanly qualities that exuded from every inch of her body, even when the robes covered her. My eyes remained fixed on her features, mesmerized by the beauty that stood before me. Her ample bosom drew my eyes again, and I couldn't help but wonder if she was aware of just how appealing she truly was. There was an undeniable allure to this Sister, and I felt drawn to her in a way that I couldn't explain.

It was as if every part of her body was molded and shaped to perfection, giving her a beautiful and alluring quality that drew the eye and held the attention. Having met Sister Antoinette, I could easily understand why she was selected to become a Sister of the Holy State. I saw the dainty nun step forward with just the slightest smile, her eyes meeting mine in a moment of understanding. It was a soft smile that held a sweetness that was hard to miss. She seemed almost delicate, yet there was also a strength there. Something about her manner was calming, like the gentle touch of a summer wind. I wondered how I could capture her beauty in my drawing. I hoped to do her justice, bringing out her grace and elegance.

She had a presence about her that was both subtle and captivating, an aura that drew you in and made you want to know more. I was in awe of the femininity and grace in her demeanor; her mannerism exuded a sense of elegance. I wondered if this Sister would have a similar role to the other nuns or if something special set her apart from her peers. I was starting to understand that the Sisterhood was quite large and diverse, and it made me curious to know what role I might eventually play among them.

"Ah, you must be young Adam von Yeager. That man's younger brother, am I right?" the red-haired nun said.

"Oh, yes, my name is Adan von Yeager! One of the three new Exorcist recruits." I said.

"I see, I am Sister Antoinette Hollywell. Nice to make your acquaintance," Sister Antoinette said.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well Sister Antoinette!" I said, bowing.

"Well, I'm here to inform you of your first official mission. I have already talked with Evander Schroeder. E-ranked missions are typically reconnaissance or escort missions," Sister Antoinette explained. "They're considered to be low-risk and are often given to new recruits. Your mission will be to escort a group of myself and three Sisters to a location where monsters have been reported to be active. The local population are fleeing from this area and are in need of our help. I and the other Sisters will conduct an investigation into the reports and interview the locals. You'll be responsible for protecting us from any dangers along the way. This is a simple mission, but it's important that you take it seriously. The lives of these locals may depend on you."

A loud crash came from further down the corridor. I turned to see Evander with some giant contraption.

"Tabbyman Five Hundred will now eliminate all hostile entities threatening Master Evander!" the contraption said in a monotone voice.

The contraption was a giant robot, standing at least 10 feet tall, and it looked like a fat man with a bulbous round body, short stubby legs, fat stubby arms, with giant hands, and a giant half-sphere that looked like a helmet for a head. The whole thing looked to be made of gray iron with gold trimming and lining. A significant number five was painted on the upper left chest area. Its faces consisted of two glowing orbs for eyes, a square beak for a nose, and an iron plate for a mouth. The thing had a giant great hammer with the number five on the head slung to its back. To complete its look was a top hat made out of iron with a lantern in the center. Rivet bolts lined many sections of its heavy frame. Its feet looked like they had hammers that could shatter almost anything. I stood there in absolute shock as contraception began to move. Its lumbering form was indeed a sight to behold. I couldn't help but think how utterly ridiculous the entire thing was. The way it moved was mechanical in nature. Yet no sound came from the contraception except from the ticking of gears. It was all so absurd.

The robot raised its arms and pointed all five of its fingertips at me. Ten red dots combined came out of its fingers, and I felt a wave of heat wash over me and knew its danger was genuine. Before I could even react, Evander jumped in front of me and threw his hands up, shielding me from the deadly attack.

As I watched, the contraption revealed itself to be a monstrous robot. It was larger than life, standing nearly thirty feet tall from its massive feet to its towering bulbous head. Its frame was made of sturdy iron with gold trim and lining, giving it an elegant yet intimidating appearance. A massive hammer with a number five on its head was slung to its back, with a matching top hat perched atop its head. The robot's faces consisted of two glowing orbs for eyes, a square beak for a nose, and an iron plate for a mouth, which gave it a rather creepy appearance.

"Stop!" he yelled. "We mean you no harm!"

The robot didn't seem to hear him. It continued to point its fingers at me, and the red dots grew brighter.

"I said, stop!" Evander yelled again. "We're not here to fight!"

The robot finally turned its attention to Evander. It lowered its arms and stared at him for a moment. Then, it spoke in a deep, booming voice.

"Who are you?" it asked.

"I am Evander," Evander said. "And this is my friend, Adam von Yeager. We're both State Exorcists. That's my squadmate!"

The robot considered this for a moment. Then, it spoke again.

"You are not welcome here," it said. "Leave now, or I will destroy you."

"We can't leave," Evander said. "We need your help, remember. You're my partner now!"

"My help?" the robot asked. "For what?"

"We need to stop the evil monsters," Evander said. "That is our duty, or purpose in life."

The robot considered this for a moment. Then, it spoke again.

"I will help you," it said. "

Evander looked at me. I nodded. We knew we had to do this.

"Very well," it said. "Understood, Tabbyman Five Hundred standing down from combat protocols," the contraption said in a monotone voice.

"Ah, meet our resident golem slash machine. I see Evander Schroeder has warmed up nicely," Sister Antoinette said, clapping her hands.

Elara didn't seem phased by this golem slash machine thing like my two companions. She was probably used to seeing such things, being an heir to the Bedell family and all. However, her demon foxes were not so sure. They yapped and growled at the golem, clearly scared. I could understand their fear. The golem was vast and imposing, with sharp claws and teeth. It looked like it could easily tear us to shreds. I hoped that Elara knew what she was doing.

"Oh, by the way, your luggage that you brought is with Instructor Ishimoto. I believe you were on your way to see him? Shall we all go together, then? The other Sisters are preparing to depart soon," Sister Antoinette said.
