As soon as Lu Yifan responded to Madam Gu, Gu Enen spoke up and declined: "No need, I want to sleep. It would be quite boring for Yifan to watch me sleep. It's better for him to go hang out with his friends."
Since Gu Enen had said that much, Madam Gu couldn't insist on keeping Lu Yifan there to accompany Gu Enen. She smiled awkwardly and said to Lu Yifan: "Enen has a point, Yifan, you go and take care of your things first. When Enen wakes up, let her call you."
"That works too." Lu Yifan nodded, smiled at Gu Enen, and raised his hand to touch her head. For some reason, Gu Enen instinctively turned her head away, leaving Lu Yifan's hand hanging in the air.
Lu Yifan looked at Gu Enen with some confusion in his eyes. Gu Enen, however, just curled her lips and smiled, pretending nothing was amiss. "Yifan, I won't see you off."
"Okay, you take a good rest."
After Lu Yifan finished speaking, he stood up and was warmly seen off by Madam Gu.
