Qin Liuxi couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing from Si Lengyue's lips that Si Tu had asked her to find someone to bear a child with.
"Your dad, he's got foresight."
Si Lengyue punched her: "And you're laughing."
Qin Liuxi touched her nose and said, "Actually, your dad has a point. Even if the spell is lifted, as the sole heiress of the Si Family, you'd have to bear a son or daughter to continue the bloodline, right?"
For herself, lineage continuation was inconsequential, but for the Si Family, it probably mattered a great deal.
The look on Si Lengyue's face was one of gloom. She hugged her knees, wanting to say something, yet, she felt somewhat annoyed.
Just as Qin Liuxi had said, she did indeed have that responsibility. Because of the Blood Curse, hers was the only remaining branch of her family. If the line ended with her, would the ancestral spirits rise from their graves to curse her in her dreams every night?
