After making his decision, Ludger (Renneshia) started to make a plan to protect his friend's safety.
Three of them (Edgar, Rainold and Leona) are fated to die in the Labyrinth, like what happened to Renneshia's mother's fate that couldn't be changed if not for getting Duke Darius Kadaklan's help.
In this world, fate is something given by the Goddess who created everything in this world. That's why it is something unchangeable because it was something created by the Goddess. The only person who can change it is a special existence such as the people from Kadaklan's main family bloodline who have the power to manipulate some part of fate.
But the main problem is how to prevent their death.
Ludger couldn't tell anyone about the future if he wanted to change it. Three of them (Edgar, Rainold and Leona) won't listen to him if he tells them not to go to the Labyrinth without reasonable reasons. Ludger is also unable to ask Duke Kadaklan to help him because the Duke couldn't enter the Labyrinth as if he were blocked by a barrier.
Ludger didn't know what he had to do. The problem with the Magic Tower Master's whereabouts is unknown and now the death of his new friends is also getting closer. As if all of his problems keep coming but he didn't know how to solve them.
It's troublesome, stressful and the biggest thing is how he couldn't tell anyone about it because he didn't want others to worry or because he still wants to find a way to change it.
As Ludger (Renneshia) feel headache from his problems, he remembered what happened in his past life. In a past life, there was a time when Ludger hoped to experience the Main Character in some stories. But now, he only hopes he never knows about the future or has any special abilities. Everything feels like a great burden he had to carry as it was the price and responsibility for having such special abilities, even if it was something you never wished for.
'I never wish to be the villain. All I ever want is live peacefully. But why does everything happen as if only the opposite of my wishes is the only thing to become reality? Should I wish to be the Main Character to get a peaceful life?' Ludger is looking at the sky while his mind is busy thinking about any solutions for his problems.
He was too focused on it as he failed to notice that people were staring at his handsome, elegant, and a bit melancholic appearance. It was extremely rare for them to see such a Ludger. In the past, Ludger would notice their gaze and immediately turn his head and give them his usual warm smile. But this time, not only did he not notice their gaze, but he also looked melancholic rather than his usual bright aura.
"What are you thinking, Ludy?" Someone suddenly asked.
When he turned on to the voice, Ludger saw Edgar's ace so close to him and heard a loud screaming from around him.
"Hmm? Are you still feeling unwell? Should I get the doctor?" Edgar carefully looked at Ludger's face because it looked a little bit red and was afraid that he got fever.
"I'm alright. But why did you get your face so close to mine? I-I just a bit flustered and surprised because of it." Ludger answered while wondering if Edgar was intentionally doing this.
"Huh?! I-I...I'm sorry! I didn't mean it...anyway I'm really sorry!" Edgar realised what Ludger meant and quickly apologised with a red face.
'His face looks like a ripe apple. And why does he overreact about it? Didn't he say he loves his fiancée? And he knows that Ludger is a man. So why did he act like this?' Ludger was wondering as he saw Edgar's reaction.
He feels something is wrong with Edgar lately. For example, he often acts overprotective toward him lately as if he's treating a delicate woman.
'I need to make sure about his thought. I don't want to be a person who screwed up other romances. And if he suddenly realised his gay tendency, I still can't be with him because I'm a woman.' Ludger made his decision and wants to put distance between them.
"What are both of you doing to cause this ruckus?" Winslow appeared between them and asked while giving Edgar a suspicious gaze.
Ludger felt a bit confused about what happened but when he tried to listen carefully to the surroundings, he could hear some people squealing or saying something strange like 'is this love triangle', 'who will win the battle?' or 'sweet childhood friend or the cold priest?'
Looking at two men standing while glaring at each other, Ludger suddenly understood what they meant. 'I never thought that BL culture would be able to flourish in this world too. Indeed, both of them are quite handsome if they are being compared to others but aren't they thinking too much about it? Neither of them had any feelings for me after all. So why pair them with me?'
Ludger always think that Winslow have feeling to Ancelina because both of them act close to each other without any restraint. And he also knows that Edgar really loves his fiancée and is unable to stop thinking about her. While there might be a little possibility if Winslow have feeling to Ludger (more precisely Renneshia), but it is impossible for Edgar.
If he loves Ludger because he knows his real gender, he already decided to refuse his feelings because he doesn't want to screw up his relationship with his fiancée. But if he loves Ludger as a man, it will be more impossible because Ludger's real identity is Renneshia.
"Why are they glaring at each other like that?" Rainold asked with a clueless expression.
"Oh my gosh! I never thought Ed would act like this! Did I awaken his real self after teaching him about Lord 'Nero's wonderful works?! Will he choose his imaginary fiancée or Lord Ludger?" Leona excitedly watched while unconsciously speaking her mind out loud.
"!!!" Leona's words make Ludger feel surprised.
Ludger quickly asked. "Leo, what do you mean?"
"Huh?! What do you mean Lord Ludger?" Leona confusedly asked.
"I mean about what you just said about Ed's fiancée. Why did you say she's an imaginary fiancée?" Ludger explain his question.
Leona's expression became pale before it turned red from embarrassment as she realised that she spoke out what she was thinking. "Please forget about it Lord Ludger. It's really embarrassing..."
As Leona acts shy and refuses to speak, Ludger's gaze turns to Rainold's direction. Realising Ludger's gaze, the honest Rainold felt awkward.
"Leo misspoke about it. It's just that we were never able to meet her or get any information about her. While Ed was able to describe her as if he had met her before, he actually had never seen Ed with her or found any girl around our age who fit with his description of her. Most of the people who know about it feel that she was unreal." Rainold explained with an awkward expression.
"So no one had ever met her? But how could he describe her with such details?" Ludger felt strange because he had heard Edgar's stories about his fiancée and how sincere his feelings were when he talked about her.
"Are you sure she is a noble daughter? Maybe he lies about her status and she actually lives as a commoner?" Ludger asked as he couldn't help but feel curious about it.
Rainold shook his head. "That's the weirdest part. We had looking for such a possibility too but we never had any clue about her. He started to talk about her when his eighth birthday. At that time, we didn't think too much about it but as time goes on, we become more curious about her but even though we do everything we could do, we are never able get any information about her except from his stories."
"It's also possible for Ed to do something like that to avoid his parents forcing him to get engaged. This time too, he's coming with us because his mother wants to marry him to one of those noble families' daughters. I think he would choose to marry someone else right now." Leona added as she looking at Ludger's direction with an expectant expression.
"Why are you looking at me with such a gaze, Lady Leona?" Ludger acted as if he didn't understand what Leona meant.
"Lord Ludger, do you have someone special that you love so much?" Leona got closer and excitedly asked.
"Hmm, that was a good question. But I'm sorry to disappoint you because I love my family and most people in this Labyrinth City. I don't think it will be fair if I only give it to one person." Ludger acted like a playboy while winking at Leona.
"OH MY GOSH!!! I fell in love with you again Lord Ludger!" Leona screamed as she lost her power and her legs became weak.
"Watch out!" Rainold who was standing beside Leona reflexively caught Leona's body.
Not only Leona but some customers who are seated near them also make some fuss. Some of them suddenly have a nosebleed or faint with blissful expression.
"I just leave you from my sight for a moment and you already caused this ruckus." Winslow tiredly sighed before he took Ludger with him and went to the kitchen.
"Wait! Brother Winslow, why do you always blame me for every ruckus in this restaurant?" Ludger asked because he didn't realise what he just done.
Winslow didn't explain because he knew how clueless his Lady was when it was something related to her. Before he closed the kitchen door, he didn't forget to look at Edgar whose keeping his gaze on Ludger.
