Duty came first, always. She gave Qin Feng's cheek one last soft touch, then teleported to the monitoring room in a flash of pale light.
She sat down in her usual seat, her expression calm but serious.
"System," she said, "Tell Yuan Xin to enter the conference room."
A few moments later, Yuan Xin walked in, bowed respectfully to the speaker screen, and began speaking in a sharp tone.
"Leader Su, a problem has come up. The leader of Luna Moon Base, a man named Zhang, is outside our walls right now. He's creating a protest. Says he won't leave until you give them 'justice.'"
Su Jiyai listened quietly. Her face didn't change, but inside her head, she was already thinking ten steps ahead.
"Noted," she said, her voice cool and level.
Realizing Yuan Xin couldn't see her, she teleported into the room with a soft flash.
Yuan Xin flinched in surprise. Seeing Su Jiyai appear so suddenly, looking as graceful and strong as ever, he couldn't help but stare for a second.
