Qin Feng crossed his arms but stayed silent, waiting.
Jake sighed, then began.
"It started when assassins were chasing Princess Anna. Princess Ruby was trying to protect her. They ran together. But while they were running, an arrow meant for Princess Anna struck Ruby instead."
Su Jiyai's eyes widened.
Jake nodded grimly. "Yes. She was gravely wounded. But right then, she heard a mechanical voice in her head. It was… a system."
At those words, Su Jiyai froze. Her own heart jumped. She also had a system inside her mind. Was it connected?
Her eyes widened even more. "A system?" she whispered.
Jake nodded again.
"Yes. She contracted the system, and it gave her the power to escape. Using it, she helped Princess Anna flee too. Together, they found a portal and traveled through dimensions until they arrived in another universe… a planet called Earth."
Su Jiyai gasped quietly. "Earth… so that's why they were there."
The puzzle pieces were fitting together now.
