Both froze. They turned and saw Qiang Zhi standing at the doorway. His little face was full of suspicion.
Immediately, Su Jiyai pulled away, her cheeks red. She walked to her little brother, crouched down, and hugged him tightly. "I am just very happy today," she said softly. "I finally made an antidote for the zombie virus."
Qiang Zhi blinked in shock. "Are you telling the truth?"
Su Jiyai nodded seriously.
He stared at her with wide eyes. After a long silence, he whispered, "You are a genius."
Su Jiyai shook her head.
"No. It wasn't just me. This antidote was originally made by our mother and our maternal aunt. I only used their formula to finish it. They are the true geniuses."
Qiang Zhi froze. His lips trembled. Then he asked quietly, "Do we have any pictures of our mother?"
The question made Su Jiyai freeze for a second. Her heart skipped a beat. She looked at her little brother's hopeful face and felt something heavy press against her chest.
