Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: Merus Sets Off for Earth

"Don't joke around like that, I have something very important to report to the Galactic King!" Jaco shouted crossly, his voice tinged with urgency. He gripped the communicator tightly, his brow furrowed into a knot.

"The Galactic King is currently in a meeting; it's not appropriate to transfer you in right now. Tell me what's going on first, and I'll report it later!" the operator said with a smile, their tone relaxed and carrying a hint of indifference.

"Meetings all day long!" Jaco grumbled, his lip curling slightly.

"Officer Jaco, please watch your language!" The operator's voice turned stern, their smile instantly vanishing, replaced by a tone of warning.

"Hurry up, this is important! It concerns Earth's safety! And my Spaceship is broken!" Jaco urged, his voice hurried, his Adam's apple bobbing as he tapped the communicator heavily twice.

"Alright then, wait a moment, I'll ask." The operator thought for a second, their tone softening slightly.

He then pressed the mute button and contacted the Galactic King, who was in the middle of the meeting.

"Is it Jaco? There's finally news from him. Patch him through." The Galactic King nodded in agreement.

The call was connected quickly.

Jaco immediately told the Galactic King everything about the adult Saiyan being on Earth.

His voice rose and fell as he gestured in the air, beads of sweat sliding down his cheeks from his forehead.

Upon hearing this, the Galactic King's expression indeed changed color.

His brow furrowed sharply, his pupils contracted slightly, and his fingers paused on the tabletop.

"Wasn't it said that only a Saiyan infant went to Earth?" the Galactic King asked with a frown, his voice low as his gaze fell on the ceiling of the conference room.

"Our intelligence was wrong!" Jaco said solemnly.

"I understand. I'll send Merus to support you immediately!" the Galactic King decided decisively.

"Merus? He's back from the outside?" Jaco was taken aback, his eyebrows arching as a flash of surprise crossed his eyes.

"Of course. After all, Merus is the most outstanding member of our Galactic Patrol. This time he even brought back the notorious Zarbon!" The Galactic King smiled and glanced over toward Merus.

Merus nodded slightly, a faint smile on his lips, his hands resting on his knees in a composed posture.

"But can Merus really be a match for this adult Saiyan?" Jaco was still a bit uneasy, his voice carrying a hint of hesitation.

"Merus, what do you think?" The Galactic King looked at Merus with admiration, his gaze lingering on his face with full trust.

"I have no problem with it!" Merus smiled confidently, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.

"Then set off as soon as possible!" The Galactic King nodded with satisfaction and reached out to pat Merus on the shoulder.

"Yes, Galactic King!" Merus stood up and bowed.

"From here to Earth, taking my fastest Spaceship, you should arrive in a day at most, right?" the Galactic King said with a smile, his mouth widening as a hint of pride showed in his eyes.

"Yes." Merus nodded gently.

"What? The Galactic King is giving that fastest Spaceship to Officer Merus?" Jaco exclaimed, his voice cracking as his eyes widened into circles.

"What are you shouting for? Is there a problem?" the Galactic King asked crossly, his lip curling.

"No... it's nothing." Jaco's mouth twitched slightly as he gave a forced smile that looked worse than crying.

"Alright, just wait patiently on Earth." After the Galactic King finished speaking, he pressed a button on the table and immediately ended the call.

A series of busy beeps came from the communicator.

Ten minutes later.

Swoosh!

An exquisitely designed Spaceship detached from the space station at Galactic Patrol Headquarters.

The hull was slender, its surface smooth as a mirror, gleaming with a silver-white luster under the starlight.

The tail erupted with bright blue flames as the ship turned into a streak of light, whistling toward Earth and quickly vanishing into the vast sea of stars.

...

Earth, Capsule Corp Headquarters.

The morning sun shone through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the dining room, lighting up the entire room.

The dining table was covered with a snow-white tablecloth, and the silver utensils gleamed softly in the sunlight.

Breakfast at Bulma's house was still very sumptuous.

A wide variety of delicacies filled the table, steaming and fragrant.

Fried eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, milk, juice, fruit salad, and several exquisite dishes that couldn't be named—a dazzling array.

Vegeta, Broly, and Majin Buu had their own table, the three of them competing to eat, enjoying themselves immensely.

Chopsticks flew rapidly between the plates and their mouths, with the sounds of clashing and chewing rising and falling.

Broly's cheeks were puffed out like two balloons, the corners of Buu's mouth were stained with sauce, and Vegeta's tail wagged excitedly behind him.

Rez and Linoshi were dining with Dr. Briefs, his wife Bikini, and Tights.

The group sat around another round table, the atmosphere warm and relaxed.

Dr. Briefs held his coffee cup, took a sip, and had a satisfied smile on his face.

Bikini placed a piece of bread on Linoshi's plate, her eyes gentle.

Tights ate her breakfast with her head down, occasionally looking up at Rez as if she wanted to say something but hesitated.

After eating for a while, a little girl who looked only five years old walked out of her room, rubbing her eyes.

Her hair was messy, her pajamas were wrinkled, and she shuffled along in slippers, her eyes half-open and half-closed.

"Eh? Big sister is back?" Bulma stared blankly at Tights, rubbed her eyes, and blinked again to make sure she wasn't seeing things.

"Bulma, you just got up? You're going to be late for kindergarten, aren't you?" Tights smiled and patted Bulma's head.

"I'm sick today, I'm not going to kindergarten," Bulma said, shaking her head and pouting. Her cheeks puffed out as she stood with her hands on her hips.

"But it looks to me like there's nothing wrong with Bulma's health," Tights said with a slight smile, her gaze scanning Bulma with a hint of mischief in her eyes.

"Sister, didn't you run away from home? What are you doing back? I was thinking I'd inherit the entire family estate. You should just hurry up and go write your novels," Bulma huffed, glaring at Tights as she tilted her chin up and crossed her arms over her chest.

Tights's mouth twitched, and she covered her face with her palm, not taking it off for a long time.

She was momentarily speechless, letting out only a helpless sigh.

"She's my younger daughter, Bulma. She's been a little rascal since she was tiny!" Dr. Briefs gave a soft sigh and shook his head, though his eyes were full of doting affection.

"She's quite cute," Rez smiled, his gaze lingering on Bulma's face for a moment.
