The conversation about the town actually deepened because someone noticed that Gian's mood was a bit different today. Usually he'd be somber and frowning, but today he looked a bit…nervous? But also a little excited. They wanted to know if the new guys had any idea.
When the newcomers started integrating into their conversations, someone blurted out the question. The newcomers didn't know what he looked like when he was particularly nervous and antsy, but they did think of something.
It was when one of them spoke about how Gian sent a letter to a Terran Town, and that he seemed to know people there.
Their natural reaction was, of course, "Terran Town?!"
Then the conversation branched out because some of the newcomers (whom Gian got the information from in the first place) knew quite a bit. Their village was approached for an alliance with Guardian Village, but their Lord was stubborn and didn't decide until it was too late.
