Menzon looked at everyone's faces, seeing their excitement and their awe.
The last time he saw this was when he awakened, coming from both family, friends, and strangers. He thought that he had finally 'made it' and he didn't have to remain a background character like everyone thought when they saw his plain, forgettable face.
He was slapped by reality within a year, and that nice thought was quickly wiped away when people saw what he was capable of making. I.e. none.
Now…the words felt genuine. Like he really deserved the praise.
What to do? His eyes were heating up and his nose was starting to feel runny.
Sniffle
"Hey, man, are you crying?"
"I'M NOT!"
"Eh…"
Althea smiled as she shook her head, just proceeding with studying the tool a bit more closely. She observed it from all sides and even had a ruler on hand. After a minute or so, she spoke up. "It is a slightly concaved mirror."
