"Sister Apate"
Kelly was shocked to see her so close to him. He didn't even notice her Prescence. Sister Apate is a gorgeous woman in her early twenties kelly and his classmates met her from time to time when she come with pope to check on us and without any surprises his classmates absolutely love her well male classmates anyway, she was the secretary of the Pope and the only person kelly don't hate who is related to the pope. For once she isn't like those religious fanatics her views on religion are quite modern actually and she is gentle, beautiful, kind, and very beautiful.
Ahem, I mean she is absolutely gorgeous like drop dead gorgeous,
"Hello! Hero"
As she said that, kelly woke up from his daydreaming and looked behind himself while making a confused expression and saying in a sarcastic voice
"Well, where is he!"
listening to him she had a wry smile on her face and spoke in a gentle voice
"You shouldn't be discouraged and compare yourself with your friends by no means you are weak they are just monsters! Given enough time and you'll stand shoulder to shoulder with them"
When saying the last part, she had an obvious uncertainty in her voice which Kelly noticed and the mood somehow become awkward.
To dissuade the mood, she spoke again this time in a questioning tone.
"Were you wondering about the summoning crystal"
Understanding her motives Kelly nodded as he was also curious
"Well to put it simply they are artifacts created especially for summoners you know how there are so little summoners in the world and for their safety and for them to get compatible summons those crystals were created"
"But how can they be sure these beasts will be the most compatible"
"I think you are getting this whole thing wrong hero, it's not the summoners who decide their summons it's the summons who choose their summoners"
"When you place your hand on the crystal it sends the wave of mana with your information of characteristics and personality in a way a beast can understand and if they like it and responds in any way the crystal will recognize it opens up a spatial portal in front of them"
"Not only that the wave of mana can only be recognized by beast with similar soul strength to what user puts into the crystal"
Listening to all this Kelly was stunned, it's like he was hearing how a radio frequency works but with mana, to say the least he was shocked by now he already labeled them primitive and medieval. But now he knows even one of these things would have been considered extraordinary in earth.
After all he had read about artifacts, they are not some relics of the past they are manmade created by humans. And that's what make it more unbelievable he couldn't help himself but question
"How?"
"How is that even possible"
Seeing Kelly this stumped Apate was felling quite proud and therefore she proudly said
"There are lot of mechanics even I don't know but simply put spatial and spirit magic work together with many arrays and runes to operate this phenomenon"
"Arrays and runes Huhh…"
While thinking that his thoughts started going in another direction
'Just how strong a person should be to make things like these.
If they are even able to make these things, do they even need a hero!'
While thinking all of that he had a sudden urgency to become strong thinking like that he unconsciously blurted out,
"I need to become stronger"
"Huhh, what!"
"Nothing, anyway I should go I remember there Is an announcement happening after today's dinner"
"Yeah! You should go, you don't want to miss that"
While saying that she had a mysterious smile on her face for whatever reason after thanking her Kelly ran towards the dining hall with his summon back into his soul.
After a while, Kelly made his way to the dining hall where dinner was already in progress. Taking a seat next to Sumire, he engaged in conversation while the others around them paid them no mind.
Once dinner concluded, Sir William and the pope entered the hall, both wearing smiles that seemed to light up the room. Making a beeline for Agawa's seat, they positioned themselves in front of the assembled crowd.
"Dungeon huh," Kelly murmured, gazing at the night sky from the balcony of his room. The events of the dinner replayed in his mind, as the pope had revealed that their training phase was now complete, and it was time for them to gain practical experience by venturing into a dungeon.
'I really am in a different world sometimes it's hard to believe that but now looking at four different moons in the sky it's hard to deny reality. Everything is so different be it be people, customs, seasons, months, weeks and even days are longer.'
"hahh"
'These days I am sighing a lot, Can I do it! Would I be able to kill beast for my power, Do I have to one day kill humans! Am I prepared for that no who am I kidding ever since I came here, I knew one day I had to do this, and tomorrow's practical experience Is just a ruse the real goal is to make us comfortable while killing.'
"hahh"
Looking at his slightly trembling hands kelly sighed yet again.
'I have to be strong; I am pretty sure tomorrow Is going to be a field day for my classmates and for those like Sumire it'll be a good sign if they don't break down, right! Sumire, I have to be strong for her too, she is going to need me more than ever.'
"Okay! Enough! time to sleep now"
Slapping his cheeks kelly went to bed.
