Kelly felt his summon come back to him with little to no mana and injured seeing its condition Kelly was curious about what happened, but Kelly let him rest and spoke.
"Good Job! Take a nap I will handle from here." Listening to his orders the crow finally closed his eyes, seemingly asleep.
Ayase, who had been helping her classmates until now after seeing both of her friends condition, couldn't stand it and ran towards them in bout of worry whereas Ayato kept Guiding other students to continuing moving with haste. Kelly stood there in a dilemma, not knowing what to do but even if he wanted to, he knew he couldn't do much of anything and turned back and moved forward with everyone else as he made his way up, he felt a sense of shame which caused him to lower his head and ponder about the feeling.
As Kelly continues on his way Ayase also reached her destination she saw firsthand the devastation caused by the beast it looked like the beast because of the constant struggle it was going through with Agawa and other used all of its mana to conjure a massive fireball in its mouth and shot it towards them, to save everyone Agawa used his defense type A-Rank skill he hasn't practiced much with to stop the attack. The attack was successfully stopped but its shockwave caused its immediate vicinity to be destroyed. They all used up all their mana to protect themselves from the shock. Hence, they were all injured and exhausted but Agawa who already utilized all of his mana to conjure up his Barrier Skill had no other option but to withstand the attack's aftereffects with his own body which lead to a more serious condition than others.
Sumire looked towards the beast who was exhausted beyond means and was curled up in its shell she wanted to go there and kill it in anger, but she quickly calmed down and started thinking again of their priority which is to quickly go to a safe place, she hastily went to Agawa's side and asked.
"Are you Ok? Can you move?"
Agawa responded with a nod but just as he took a step he stumbled and fell but was quickly taken hold of by Ayase.
"It's ok! No need to force yourself! You have already done enough!" Ayase said with watery eyes, she took look at Hiroya who was unconscious and snoring even at this situation then she looked in the direction of Kenji who was on one of his knees and asked.
"Can you get up?" Kenji responded with a nod and she continued "can you help hi…" just as she finished she looked towards Hiroya, Kenji understood her meaning and replied with hoarse voice while panting, "I will Huff help him" saying that he stood on his legs and went towards the Sleeping… unconscious… Hiroya and carried him to his shoulders seeing that Ayase gave a thankful Nod to Kenji and looked towards the other two pair then said.
"I'll take Kei you take him" but before Kenji can respond Daichi stoop up pantingly and proclaimed hurriedly.
"I will carry her" looking at him Ayase was confused how he was still conscious, seeing her doubt Kenji answered.
"Before the attack Kei used her mana to create a wall around herself but because she had to protect a certain someone she used more mana than needed and therefore exhausted herself" Kenji explained matter of flatly giving Daichi a cold glare , if there is one thing that kenji hates more than powerlessness is arrogant fools more importantly fools that are supposed to listen to him but didn't listen because of their dicks. Listening to him Ayase remembered Daichi stayed behind to protect Kei and instead of doing that, he was the one who needed protection, she stared at Daichi coldly, who after seeing her gaze was embarrassed so to get out of this he quickly went over to Kei and carried her in princess-carry style and started moving forward.
Seeing his behavior Kenji face slowly turned indifferent whereas Ayase stared at him disgustingly if they were not in this situation, she would have broken those hands that are taking advantage of the situation but seeing the circumstances she controlled herself and after once more coldly gazing at him, helped Agawa and lead the path towards the stairs she was then followed by Kenji and Daichi with Hiroya and Kei in their arms.
As they ran towards the stairs the undead soldiers who had been inactive for a while started attacking them. But with combined ability of Ayase wind magic and Kenji's fire magic they were able to escape from getting trapped and swiftly made their way towards Ayato and Kelly who were busy with their own thoughts and with Ayase and Kenji being in battle and because of the dense fog other students also weren't able to spot them therefore, no one noticed the situation at the back where someone was getting overwhelmed with the sheer numbers of undead and unable to fight with his hands being occupied.
