Chapter 290 - Chapter 290 RNG Is Actually Illegal

Everyone remembered one thing, this was another lottery draw, just like last time.

Ryan had hit the jackpot. A special prize. Something worth tens of millions, obtained instantly. His luck was nothing short of extraordinary.

On the other side, Kakashi had also won first prize. He, too, received incredible rewards. If Ryan hadn't been in the mix, Kakashi would have easily been considered the luckiest of them all. But with Ryan's absurd fortune, Kakashi was bumped down to second place.

"It could've been worse," Naruto offered with an awkward chuckle. "I mean, at least you got something?"

Tsunade shot him a glare. "You mean the single tomoe Sharingan? The one I can't even use? The one that's literally useless without Uchiha blood?"

"Well… yeah," Naruto admitted sheepishly.

Minato sighed. "I've never seen someone pull a consolation prize before. I didn't even know the system had those."

"Neither did I," Kakashi (Darker Timeline) mused. "It's almost impressive, in a tragic sort of way."

"Tragic is an understatement," Road to Shinobi Tsunade groaned, rubbing her temples. "She got a completely incompatible eye that she can't even implant without medical disasters."

"I still say you should've tried to sell it," Sasuke remarked. "Even a single tomoe Sharingan has some market value."

Canon Tsunade's eyebrow twitched. "Oh sure, let me just throw it on the black market and see if some desperate fool wants it."

"Better than keeping it out of spite," Tobirama muttered.

Hashirama tried to be helpful. "Maybe if you spin it the right way, it's symbolic? Like, the Will of Fire—"

"Shut up, grandpa," both Tsunades snapped in unison.

Ryan, who had been silent for most of this, finally chuckled. "You have to admit, drawing a one-tomoe Sharingan as a Senju? That's the universe personally mocking you."

Tsunade clenched her fists. "Say one more word, Ryan, and I swear—"

Madara, smirking, leaned forward. "If it makes you feel better, I could lend you my eyes for a bit."

Tsunade took a deep breath. "I will throw you out of this chat group myself."

After the brief moment of stunned silence, the group didn't disperse immediately. Instead, they all gathered around the mall. Some were preparing to spend their points, looking to improve their strength, exchanging for powerful equipment, unique abilities, anything to enhance themselves.

But the real reason most people stayed?

Pure entertainment.

"Alright, Ryan, do us a favor and break probability again," Kakashi (Canon) drawled.

"Seriously," Kakashi (Darker Timeline) added. "Just once, I'd like to see you fail."

Ryan smirked. "Well, I'd hate to disappoint you, but my luck's just built different."

"Hurry up already!" Naruto yelled. "I wanna see what kind of broken reward you get this time!"

"I propose we start betting on his results," Sasuke suggested. "At least that way, some of us might benefit."

"You suggesting another bet while I'm here?" Canon Tsunade glared at him.

"I was talking about a strategic wager," Sasuke corrected smoothly.

"That's just fancy talk for gambling!" she snapped.

Ryan sighed, stepping up to the draw. "You guys are really invested in this, huh?"

"Of course," Minato said with a smile. "You have a way of making things… interesting."

Ryan rolled his shoulders. "Alright then—let's see what I get."

The anticipation in the air was thick as he reached forward, his fingers hovering over the draw button.

"Come on, come on!" Naruto urged. "Quit stalling and press it!"

Ryan exhaled, pressed the button, and—

The moment of truth had arrived.

They all wanted to see Ryan's drawing. Would his ridiculous luck continue? Would he pull another outrageous reward? The last time, he had won first prize—maybe this time, there was some hidden bonus attached. No one knew. But one thing was certain. Ryan was the only one with a lottery chance this round, and based on past results, the odds were looking very interesting.

As he stepped up to the draw, a mix of curiosity and anticipation filled the air. Even Ryan himself felt a flicker of nervous excitement. I just hope whatever I pull this time actually suits me, he thought to himself. Even if he got something useless to him, as long as it had high value, he could always sell it back to the system. Either way, it was a win.

Tsunade scowled, arms crossed. "Oh sure, let me just pull out my 'Increase Luck' jutsu. Oh wait—IT DOESN'T EXIST."

Madara smirked. "Not with that attitude."

Tobirama scoffed. "Even if it did, she'd still manage to lose. Some people are just cursed."

"Cursed?" Hashirama frowned. "Come on, that's a bit harsh—"

"She got a single tomoe Sharingan as a Senju," Sasuke interjected. "That's not just bad luck. That's cosmic-level irony."

Obito nodded sagely. "Even I think it's unfair, and I got crushed by a boulder."

Kakashi (Darker Timeline) hummed. "You know, statistically speaking, someone has to have the worst luck here."

Road to Shinobi Tsunade sighed. "And of course, it's her."

Canon Tsunade groaned. "I hate all of you."

Ryan took a deep breath, reached out, and—

At this moment, all eyes were on Ryan. He hadn't moved for a long time, and the suspense was driving everyone crazy. The others were growing impatient, shifting restlessly as they watched him in anticipation.

"Are you trying to build suspense?" Minato asked, amused.

"Or just showing off?" Tobirama added dryly.

"At this rate, even I'm getting impatient," Madara muttered. "And I have the patience to sit through Hashirama's speeches."

"Hey!" Hashirama protested.

Kakashi (Canon) sighed, flipping a page of his book. "If you don't draw soon, I might finish this chapter first."

Ryan smirked, deliberately pausing. "Oh? But the longer I wait, the more desperate you all sound. I'm enjoying this."

"Ryan, if you don't press that button in the next five seconds, I'm punching you," Tsunade threatened.

Obito chuckled. "I'd listen to her. She's got a lot of pent-up frustration from her last draw."

Sasuke crossed his arms. "Just get on with it."

Naruto grinned. "Yeah, yeah! Maybe you'll get something super broken again!"

Ryan stretched lazily. "Alright, alright… Since you're all begging me." He finally reached for the draw button.

The chat went dead silent.

While Ryan remained calm, the others were nearly bursting with curiosity. They couldn't wait any longer, eager to see what kind of reward he would pull this time.

Under their watchful gazes, Ryan finally moved. He reached out, his fingers hovering for the briefest moment before pressing the draw button. Instantly, the entire chat group's shopping mall transformed.

Countless items turned into a dazzling cascade of colors, a radiant curtain of swirling lights. Strange artifacts, rare treasures, and mysterious abilities flashed by in a mesmerizing waterfall of possibilities. The sheer variety of magical and powerful items overwhelmed the senses, filling the air with an almost tangible excitement. The chat group's system let out a mechanical hum, a sound of anticipation that only heightened the tension.

Then—Ding! A crisp chime echoed through the space as the endless flow of items came to an abrupt halt. At the center of the screen, shimmering with a radiant glow, a colorful gift box appeared.

Silence fell over the group as everyone held their breath. The gift box, pulsing faintly with energy, slowly began to open. Every pair of eyes remained fixed on it, the anticipation nearly unbearable. Then, finally, the familiar notification voice of the chat group rang out in their minds, delivering the verdict on Ryan's luck.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations! You have obtained a special reward!]

[Ability Acquired: Ultraman's Body Durability!]

[Effect: Host's physical durability has been upgraded to the baseline level of an Ultraman!]

[Grants extreme resistance to both scorching heat and freezing cold.]

[Negates most conventional physical attacks, significantly reducing damage taken.]

[Allows the body to endure tremendous impact forces, including explosions and high-speed collisions, mimicking an Ultra's natural resilience.]

[Note: This ability has immense evolutionary potential! Future upgrades may unlock even greater defensive capabilities!]

The moment the announcement echoed through the chat group, the room was filled with stunned silence—then, chaos erupted.

Naruto blinked. "Wait, what? What does that even mean?"

"No way… That ability sounds insanely overpowered!" Sasuke muttered, narrowing his eyes.

"I don't even know what an Ultraman is, but from that description, this has to be ridiculous," Obito added.

Madara smirked. "So, Ryan's basically indestructible now? Even Hashirama wasn't this annoying to kill."

"Hey!" Hashirama protested.

Tsunade groaned. "Why does Ryan keep winning insane abilities while I get junk?"

Tobirama deadpanned. "Because your luck is cursed."

"Maybe next time, you'll win common sense in gambling," Madara quipped.

Tsunade cracked her knuckles. "Are you sure you want to keep talking, Uchiha?"

Tobirama scoffed. "See? This is exactly why I hate the Uchiha. They'll always rub your weakness in your face."

Madara smirked. "It's not our fault Senju weaknesses are so obvious."

Tsunade's eye twitched. "You want to test how weak my fist is?"

Hashirama sighed. "Can we not turn this into another clan feud?"

Obito chuckled. "Too late. I think she's about to declare war on Madara's face."

Gasps and murmurs of shock spread through the group. Even without knowing the origins of the ability, the implications were clear. Defense against several thousand degrees of heat? Resistance to extreme cold? Immunity to regular physical attacks? That was beyond rare—it was absurd.

Madara Uchiha, arms crossed, narrowed his eyes in thought before speaking. "So, if I'm understanding this correctly… Ordinary elemental Style jutsu would be completely useless against you?" He let out a low chuckle, shaking his head.

Tobirama scoffed. "And some advanced elemental Release too. Insulating against extreme heat often means resistance to electricity."

The realization dawned on everyone. This wasn't just a simple defense buff—this was a game-changer. Even Madara, who wielded one of the most powerful fire-based abilities in existence, found himself at a loss. His gaze flickered to the legendary Zanpakutō, Ryūjin Jakka, which he had claimed as his own. The very thought of someone being able to passively endure the blade's scorching flames without lifting a finger was… infuriating.

Ryan, meanwhile, remained silent, absorbing the implications of his new ability. The corners of his lips twitched ever so slightly.

Madara exhaled sharply and shook his head. "This is ridiculous."

At the same time, the other Hokages present couldn't help but discuss the astonishing ability Ryan had just acquired.

Tsunade's eyes widened in surprise. "With that kind of defense… doesn't that mean, in most battles, you don't even have to worry about getting hit?" She crossed her arms, a hint of frustration in her voice. "Damn, I wish I had that ability! Just imagine how much stronger my punches would be…"

It was a valid point. Tsunade's monstrous strength wasn't just a product of raw power—it relied heavily on her physical endurance. Pushing her body beyond its limits meant she often had to heal herself mid-battle. But if she had an indestructible physique like Ryan's? She wouldn't have to hold back. Her legendary strength could reach a terrifying new level.

Hashirama, meanwhile, let out a long whistle, shaking his head in amazement. "Damn… that's basically invincible!" His expression was a mix of awe and envy. "With that kind of defense, who could even break through your guard?"

The ability's description hadn't explicitly stated how well it could withstand blunt force, piercing attacks, or ninjutsu, but it didn't take a genius to figure it out. If it could shrug off thousands of degrees of heat, then physical attacks were probably just as ineffective.

Tobirama, ever the strategist, paced back and forth, his analytical mind already working through the implications. "I don't get it." He muttered, his voice tinged with curiosity. "How does this even work? Defending against something this extreme…" His brows furrowed, deep in thought. "Thousands of degrees of heat? Devastating physical strikes? This isn't just tough skin; this is something beyond normal comprehension."

His frustration was clear. As a researcher, Tobirama prided himself on understanding the mechanics behind powerful abilities. But this? This was something outside the realm of normal shinobi logic.

"I need to study this," he murmured, his mind already racing with theories.
