"So? What should we do?" Ethan asked with a frown on his face while he watched Felicia's reaction.
Felicia sighed and set down his phone. "We cannot just go straight to her and tell her. It is not our place to do so." Felicia hummed as she leaned forward in her stool. They were in the kitchen at the moment. He had just come back from his internship.
"Well than I should just leave it alone and-"
"No." Felicia stopped him. "We need to be careful about this and you need to organize something so she can catch them in the act." She sighed as Ethan processed her words. "Go… I need to get the girls together and go hang out tonight."
"Okay, oh by the way. How did your theft go last night?" Ethan nodded at the painting that was sitting in the hallway. It was not there yesterday. So he could only assume that it was what she was stealing last night.
"Actually…" She began going into detail about what happened yesterday night.
—-----------------
She had made it in and out of the Russian crime boss' place without any issue. She even came out with this painting and frame. At the moment it was split apart and the painting was rolled up. It had been originally stolen from a gallery in Europe half a year ago.
Apparently it was then sold on a digital black market. One that was primarily being run in New York, so now she was going around using the client list that Ethan had provided her to 'liberate' the stolen goods.
With her new suit she leaped to a roof and then climbed the wall. As she arrived at the top she flipped over it. But then she rolled forward and dodged the string of webbing that came right at her. She looked over at the source of the webbing with a grin, "Oh? If you want to hit me with your sticky white fluids you just have to ask."
"You…" Peter Parker did not even have a way to competently respond, while one of the devices managed to pick up the call he had going. She then connected to it and listened in on the conversation between Spider-Man and his partner.
"Woah, she really has your number. Although I would if you acted like a stunned kid every time I heard an innuendo." Mary Jane pointed out, "but I will admit I am curious to see what she does to you today."
"Not the time," Peter whispered back.
They were taking awhile so Black Cat moved to the edge of the building and then jumped off, using a grappling hook to swing from building to building. A moment later Spider-Man was following her.
"What did you steal this time?" He asked as he swung alongside her and then fired another glob of spider webbing to try and trap her.
Felicia swiped her claw and cut it in the air as she responded, "just a painting from a crime boss who bought it from a thief who stole it a while ago." Felicia answered as she spun up and landed on a roof. "Why are you curious? Do you want to return it to the crime boss or the original owners?"
"Maybe I just want to catch you!" He then got 'serious' and closed the distance. Trying to punch her as he moved. She kept dodging until he had overextended himself into a position where he could not dodge or block a strike from her. She kneed him in the abdomen and then took off to the edge of the roof. But this time moved to a spot just out of view of the roof.
Peter Parker groaned in pain, "that hurt."
"Yeah she is still getting away. Hey what is the formula for-" Mary Jane began asking.
"Are you doing homework right now?" Peter asked in bewilderment.
"Of course, it is not like you are going to catch her. Nor is she likely to hurt you very badly. So yes, I am doing homework." Mary Jane answered honestly. Felicia had to hold back her laughter as she listened in on the lovebirds.
"Haa… fine." He then began swinging after her. But as he was halfway down his arc, Felicia launched herself off the wall. He only had time to slightly turn to her when he sensed the danger when she kicked him down and in through the window of a busy business. During that short exchange her hand reached out and pulled on something.
Then as Spider-Man crashed through the window of the pizza shop he was covered in pizza from a family's dinner. Felicia lowered herself down and looked in through the window. She waved at him with her hand that had his glove removed.
He looked down at his hand and saw his glove and one of his web-shooters were missing. "Hey!"
"Thanks for the new toy Spider-Man, good luck getting the grease out of that suit of yours." She then swung away with her grappling hook.
While Spider-Man tried to rush after her only to slip on a piece of pizza, he then looked at the family and apologized before he climbed the side of the wall and left. Apparently she could hear Mary Jane laughing at him for a bit longer before she was out of range.
—----------------
"So you embarrassed him and stole his web-shooter?" Ethan asked in surprise.
"I did indeed. While telling you this story actually reminded me of something." Felicia answered honestly and then looked at the painting. "Can you get this to your new buddy, Victor Von Doom?"
Ethan raised an eyebrow.
"It was stolen from a Latverian art exhibition in Italy. It was originally theirs in the first place." Felicia explained.
Ethan sighed and nodded, "yeah, I actually have to go there in a few days. But I also have an appointment with young Parker on the same day." He honestly told her.
"Do you have a good excuse?" Felicia asked with a grin as she stood up from her seat.
"I do not need an excuse, I sell weapons on an international level. It will not be that much of a surprise." Ethan told her with a chuckle as he moved to look at the Latverian painting. It was very biblical in nature. The bottom had demons reaching up with the fires of hell. While the top had angels and glowing light coming down. While in between was a green cloaked individual. "Weird."
