Tai Baòli and Liu Yanjiang explained their story to Great Elder Fu, and similarly to the last time this occurred Great Elder Fu took the things they needed to turn in and helped them back to the Inner Sect chatting casually with the two he'd send them both on their way.
Great Elder Fu: "Make it back to your abodes quickly, it's unbecoming to be covered in gunk like that. You're both good disciples."
Waiving them off Great Elder Fu then seemingly vanished from in front of them. Clearly tiers stronger then either could comprehend right now.
Tai Baòli: "Well I guess this means I'm going back to my peak, journey safely Liu Yanjiang, I'm glad you were there to fight with me this time be safe!"
Tai Baòli then quickly made his way off and back to his mountain, of course he seemed a little short with his departure but that was because he was sitting on a bunch of experience and martial credits, it was time to attempt another big upgrade.
However the departure did leave Liu Yanjiang a little sad, she'd quickly reply with a wave and smile as they parted ways but she'd have a slight sulking expression as she made her way back to her mountain peak, clearly a little sad.
Tai Baòli eventually made it back to his Mountain and then to his cave abode, the peak he was on was unbelievably quiet if he didn't know his master and the unknown senior brother Qua were here he'd almost think it was completely abandoned.
Tai Baòli cleaned up quickly and sat down on the edge of his bed within the abode. Staring intensely at his status screen and the notifications that had been activated earlier.

Looking at his status screen Tai Baòli was extremely excited, he wasn't going to wait to spend his points, after experiencing an incredibly strong Dao Beast like he had, Tai Baòli didn't want to even begin to think what would happen if on one of his next missions he'd run into something as strong again.

Immediately upon inputting his experience he'd feel a huge itch and surge of pain, however Tai Baòli was finally strong enough to remain conscious through a large upgrade. Adding 3+ to all his stats wasn't his biggest upgrade ever but it was still large. So the fact he could remain conscious through it was extraordinary.
Especially since the upgrade still took around 12 hours to complete. However it seemed Tao Baòli was integrating better with the system and the upgrades were beginning to feel almost "easier". Of course this could also be attributed to Tai Baòli's stats getting higher.
At an unaugmented stat or stats of 20.4/5 in strength and dexterity Tai Baòli felt an enormous bottle neck between his current Dao Condensing stage refinement and the next step "Palace Creation"
It almost felt as if even though he could meet the requirements to be a Palace Creation refinement cultivator he was still missing a step in his foundation.
Tai Baòli might have upgraded his stats to the necessary minimums or maximums for a specific refinement rank but the Dao Condensing stage required more then that it required solidifying your heart and Dao down a specific path.
And unfortunately Tai Baòli had progressed to far, and to fast, to have had enough time to think about analyze or comprehend what he was going to believe or follow in.
He's only goal since gaining the system had always been just to get stronger and join the sect. But.....he had already done that....he was so much stronger then he was less than a year ago, hell even weeks, months, days ago ... And not only had he joined the sect he'd wanted to, he'd even gotten to become a inner sect disciple, and a direct disciple of a Great Elder in charge of a mountain peak as well....
Tai Baòli was just a rural mountain boy, he thought his original goal was already ambitious enough when contended against the thousands of individuals who attempt to join the sect. But he'd actually succeeded.... It seemed like currently he didn't know what else to do, and at such an important stage in one of the defining stages of cultivation this made progressing particularly difficult.
Tai Baòli still sat within his cave above meditated on the issue at hand, for hours trying to comprehend and find a path for himself forward.....I mean through the system he had a healthy comprehension of 23, obviously he should be able to come up with something.
Yet...hours went by...the thoughts just going through his mind endlessly. It seemed maybe his Dao Heart wasn't strong enough yet, or maybe he truly didn't know enough about cultivation yet to understand or further himself.
He may have an incredible Mid Earth rank technique under his belt, and at mid mastery at that.... But again that was forcibly implanted into his being by the system, he knew the technique, he knew the in's and out's, but he didn't truly create it.....he simply had it implanted in him and almost automatically ingrated into his being.
Sure he'd learn and spent time training other techniques but fundamentally he was far behind his peers in cultivation knowledge....he had truly progressed to far to fast without truly learning things and studying his foundation.
A normal genius like say Liu Yanjiang could progress so fast because of her enormous comprehension, and even Tai Baòli had a decent comprehension....but Liu Yanjiang didn't have a system.....she was forced to truly learn and comprehend what, where and why things were the way they were.
Tai Baòli sighed...he wasn't making any progress in his thoughts, the best course of action would just to go about his daily activities and try to learn not only more but better information about true cultivation and what it entailed.
It was also at this moment that Tai Baòli got a notification from his system

Tai Baòli was slightly caught off guard, not one but two daily repeatable missions? That meant everyday he'd earn an entire point.....in just 3 months he'd be able to get 90 points that was without counting if he did any missions as well.... Tai Baòli would be able to get way stronger with these missions.
Before he began his tasks though he'd take one final look at his stats to see what he wanted to get or do with them next after he got more experience.
