In the Communication center for the war, Ino was surrounded by monitors on all sides. What once displayed multiple theaters across the war, now only followed one stream conducted by the Business Course students who recorded the fight between Shigaraki and the heroes.
Ino rubbed her temple and couldn't help but overhear the comms being passed around from everyone around her. There was an overbearing combination of phones ringing, computer keys being pressed, and people yelling while battle raged on the screens.
"Dabi is engaged in battle with Endeavor and Shoto!"
"Almost all of Shigaraki and AFO's forces have been dealt with!"
"Recently reports of a failed attack by Kisame in Germany!"
"The Prime Minister was contacted directly by the President of the United States! Tobi failed an assassination attempt and the Yellow Flash with his son are coming to assist!"
"The UA Sky Base has been saved thanks to Gentle Criminal!"
"Aizawa is still missing, but Monoma's been recovered! En route here as we speak!"
"Status report on Lady Nagant!"
"She made the medical team that retrieved her take her towards the UA battle!"
"The status of Sasuke is unknown!"
"Hold on, I just got reports from students coming from the Jaku Hospital Ruins! They say that Gigantomachia has been killed and verified that Sasuke was seen chasing a fleeing AFO!"
"Give him hell, Sasuke!"
"These kids nowadays are crazy..."
Ino closed her eyes and tried to block out the noise, but a hand on her shoulder startled her, "Ah! Tenten?"
Tenten waved and rubbed the back of her head, "Yeah, sorry for startling you. You doing ok? You look troubled."
Ino paused, "Oh... Yeah I... I guess I just wish I could do more." She shrugs.
"Really? Probing through Garaki's mind did a lot for us. You've done plenty already."
Ino shook her head, "Yeah but... I mean out there! I can forcibly take over people's bodies! I could probably help finish off Shigaraki quicker if I were allowed out there."
Tenten raised a brow, "That wouldn't be a good idea. You'd be at a big risk, and considering Shigaraki has another guy in his head already, it probably wouldn't work."
Ino pouted and crossed her arms, "Yeah..."
Tenten patted her back and snickered, "We all have our roles in this war. Just have faith. I would have liked to fight out there too, but I'm on guard here. Just trust them."
Now far away from the Gunga Mountain, Sasuke free-fell through the air when familiar arms caught him. "Woah there, got you."
Sasuke woke up and Hawks gently descended to the ground with Tokoyami following not far behind. He looked up at them and saw Jiro, Mina, Yanagi, and Kodai on Dark Shadow's back gazing up in awe at the parted storm.
Hawks stared at the large crater where a mountain used to be and said, "Wow... you really got him."
Sasuke slowly stood on his own feet and wiped the remaining blood off his face, "I said I would."
Hawks smiled, "I guess you did."
Kodai thought out loud, "Did their fight do all this?"
Jiro replied, "Must have. Pain did something similar earlier."
Mina jumped off Dark Shadow and ran up to Sasuke to give him a hug. "It's really over now."
He accepted the hug and said, "My revenge is at least... but there's still one more thing we gotta do."
A yellow flash came down from the sky next to Hawks and Minato and Naruto appeared from it before everyone. Minato asked, "We're not too late, are we?"
Hawks exclaimed, "Finally! You're late, but better late than never." He observed the scuffs on Minato's clothes, "What kept you?"
"Obito tried to kidnap the president to get Nuclear Launch codes, but Naruto and I managed to put him down."
"That's good to hear... Obito would have been a nightmare to deal with in the middle of all of this."
While their conversation went on, Naruto waved to Sasuke, "Yo, Sasuke! Still able to fight?"
Sasuke analyzed Naruto's appearance and made an effort to hide his own wounds, "Yeah I can fight. Did you get a quirk awakening?"
Naruto blinked, "Huh? Yeah, how'd you know?"
"I have experience with it."
Hawks cleared his throat, "Since we're all here now. We should help the others fight Shigaraki so that this war can end."
Mina turned to Sasuke, "Are you sure I shouldn't take you to a medic? With all of us together we should be fine without you."
Sasuke paused in thought before shaking his head, "No. You guys are gonna need all the help you can get."
Mina's expression continued to express concern, but she sighed and pointed toward Dark Shadow which had Sasuke's sword in its mouth. "You're probably gonna need that then. We found it on the way here."
Sasuke smirked and accepted the blade, "Glad to not go through another missing sword."
Minato looked toward the east, "UA is really far from here... unfortunately I didn't put any marks there last time I visited..."
Hawks grimaced, "Yeah, flying will take forever..."
Minato cursed himself and Naruto peered in the same direction, "Why don't I just run there?"
While the UA skybase barely saved itself from plummeting to the earth, the absence of Erasure forced the battle to be moved to the ghost of a city below.
Shigaraki's corrupted laughter echoed off the empty buildings as he clashed blows with Midoriya, constantly trying to grab him, but Midoriya's danger sense saved him each time.
Bakugo assisted throughout the fight, blowing Shigaraki's hand constructs to bits, but Shigaraki's evolution raised his durability to a point where he could no longer do lethal damage. "What's wrong, Midoriya?! Not giving it your all?! Or have I adapted to the point where you're just not enough?!!"
Midoriya clenched his fist and swung Shigaraki into the ground with black chains before diving down to ax-kick him, but fingers shot out of the concrete all around him, forcing him to float back up.
Shigaraki jumped up and tried to pierce him, but Bakugo intercepted him from the side and blew him away before throwing Midoriya by his arm at him to kick him through multiple buildings.
High above on the UA skybase, the remaining heroes watched the battle with frowns and clenched fists. Mirio leaned forward, "I gotta help somehow..."
Edgeshot shook his head, "No... the ground itself is a deathtrap down there now. Like it's an extension of himself. Only people who can effectively stay off the ground could fight now... Out of the six of us, only Nejire could do that, but they're just fighting at too high a level for us to effectively help now."
Shoda looked down, "I could help boost their attacks still."
Amajiki replied, "It looks like the two of them are holding him at a standstill right now. If one of them left the fight just to give you a high-five, it probably wouldn't be worth it. He might still have one of their quirks if they did that."
Mirio gritted his teeth, "Are we really supposed to just sit here then?!"
Edgeshot replied firmly without making eye contact, "Yes."
Kilometers away, Nagant was assisted in positioning herself on a building with two nurses. "Here is good." They lifted her arms off their shoulders and she knelt down, turning her arm into a sniper. "Can I get some support so my gun doesn't send me on my ass?"
She spoke in a low tone and one of the nurses hurriedly knelt behind her and put her hands on her back, "Of course!"
"Thanks," Nagant reached up to her hair and tried to pull out a few strands, but she grunted and couldn't produce the strength as sweat developed on her brow.
The nurse who was standing took notice and pulled a knife out of her pocket and knelt at her side, "Here I'll take care of it. How do you just rip out your hair with your bare hands normally anyway?" She cut off a piece.
Nagant twirled the hair bundle and dipped it into a small container of poison on her belt before chambering it in her rifle, "A lot of practice... and strength I don't have right now."
The nurse behind Nagant asked, "Can you seriously land a shot from this far away?"
"Yes, as long as I'm allowed to focus..."
The two nurses got the message and sat in silence near her while she trained her fire on Shigaraki. '5,000 meters... strong wind blowing west... shockwaves from the battle...' Tracking every movement searching for an opening, until she found the perfect moment and fired.
The bullet cut through the air like a javelin missile and went straight through Shigaraki's chest, destroying half of his heart. He coughed up a gallon of blood, and his body filtered out the poison instantly, but the brief opening was all Midoriya needed as he shot a chain through the hole in Shigaraki's chest, and Detroit smashed him in the face.
The blow caused a sharp crack in Shigaraki's neck as it bent at an odd angle while his body flew through collapsed buildings. Midoriya froze and Bakugo hovered next to him with explosions, "Nice hit. Do you think that did it?"
Midoriya looked at his hand, "I... felt his neck break... it might have..."
On the building a nurse asked, "Did you get him?"
"Yeah, I don't know if he'll stay down though."
On top of the skybase, Mirio pumped his fist, "Nice! They look like they got him!" Mirko spotted a yellow light running across the mountain tops into the city, "Do you guys see that?"
They all turned their heads toward it and Edgeshot's eyes widened, "The yellow Flash? Wait... no that's slower than his normal teleportation…"
As it got closer, the shape of the beam of light got clearer and more human as he stepped into the city. 'Only a couple minutes, not bad!' With his first step, the ground erupted and ghastly fingers tried to grab him, "What the hell?!" He quickly reacted, jumping high up and propelling himself even further with enlarged golden arms toward the Skybase.
He landed in front of the group with Minato's kunai in his mouth and grabbed it while shouting, "Naruto Uzumaki here bringing the cavalry!"
In a flash of light, Sasuke, Minato, Mina, Kodai, Jiro, Hawks, and Tokoyami all appeared. They all smiled and Hawks waved, "Yo, I brought some help."
Bakugo and Midoriya stared up at them with joy and Minato stepped forward toward the other heroes, "Debrief us quickly."
Edgeshot stood up, "Shigaraki has been going through rapid evolution throughout the fight. It looks like he's down for now, but he could get back up at any time. Just a heads up if you plan on going down there. Don't touch the ground. Only fly. He's turned the ground into an extension of himself."
Naruto rubbed his chin, "Oh that's why fingers came out of the ground."
Down below, a building tipped over, and Shigaraki rose out of the dust clouds with a more rigid armor-like appearance, 'I can't feel it... I'm on the cusp of something hidden in me... I just need a little more... And hopefully soon... if Sasuke and Minato are here. That can only mean Obito and Master both fell. I don't plan on getting out on the back foot again... I'll destroy every last one of you!'
Bakugo gritted his teeth, "Damn it! He's up again! Did you not punch him with all your strength, Izuku?!"
Midoriya froze and the third user spoke to him, "Midoriya, why didn't you use Fa Jin when you hit him?! You could have finished things there! Are you still holding onto the vain hope that he can be saved? Don't repeat the mistake you made before!"
"I..."
Nagant shot another bullet aimed at Shigaraki's skull, but Jet's flying by and hitting Shigaraki with lasers and missiles knocked it off its trajectory while engulfing Shigaraki in smoke. Nagant grunted, "Tsh..."
On the Sky Base, Minato put marks on everyone and Kodai adjusted her hat, "Looks like we'll be on the sidelines." Her, Yanagi, Mina, and Jiro sat down.
Yanagi replied, "Shigaraki is on a whole 'nother level than Kakazu was."
Jiro stated, "I don't think my jacks could pierce his skin to land a good resonance anyway."
Minato stood over the edge, "That's Star's guys flying over there..."
Tokoyami said, "The more the merrier as they say."
Hawks asked, "Sasuke, can you see him in there?"
Sasuke manifested wings, "Yeah... he's just staying still for some reason."
Laughter erupted from the smoke and the jets turned around for another run. Bakugo yelled, "The hell is this bastard laughing for?!"
The smoke cleared revealing Shigaraki with his arms spread out and a huge smile on his face, "I understand it now! So that's why he was so confident in victory... hehehe..."
Hawks, Sasuke, Minato, and Naruto, on Tokoyami's back, dove down toward him, and the world seemed to freeze as Shigaraki clapped his hands and spoke one word, "Limbo."
The effect was instant and horrifying. Both of them jets that were ready to fire both blew up seemingly out of nowhere like a force tore them apart. Everyone froze and Bakugo exclaimed, "What the hell happened?!"
Midoriya's danger sense went off and he tackled Bakugo far away, "KAACHAN!!!"
Once again, an invisible force struck, and something tore off the bottom of Bakugo's leg, getting a shriek out of him. Shigaraki grinned ear to ear, "So it doesn't have my normal quirks... that's unfortunate. But it clearly retains their strength... now..."
Sasuke's eyes became saucers and he looked back up at the sky base, "GET OUT OF THERE!!!"
