Daohua held Daozi, her back to the courtyard gate, and hadn't noticed Xiao Yeyang's return. The attendants noticed, but Xiao Yeyang stopped them from announcing his arrival.
Daozi practiced walking for a while, looking tired, and snuggled up in Daohua's arms without moving, just incessantly shaking his rattle-drum.
"Yi?"
The little chub spotted Xiao Yeyang; his big, dark eyes staring intently at Xiao Yeyang, his expression somewhat puzzled, as if wondering who this unfamiliar person was in their family.
Daohua noticed her son's expression, turned her head, and saw Xiao Yeyang standing a few meters away, watching them mother and son with a smile in his eyes; a smile instantly appeared on her face.
"You're back!"
Xiao Yeyang walked over with a smile, seeing his son tilting his head and looking at him, appearing both dumb and cute, he couldn't help stretching his hand to touch his head: "Is my son already this big?"
