The Weng Old Madam, noticing her son and grandsons arriving together, and not long after, her daughter-in-law and two granddaughters followed, guessed their purpose in coming. She leaned on the heated brick bed and did not climb down, adopting a posture of preparing to rest.
Weng Old Master first inquired about the Old Madam's health, then asked about her and Ye Yueying's outing earlier that day, before finally shifting the topic to Xiao and Wu, the pair who had escorted them back to the residence.
"I heard that today Mother and Yueying were brought back by two gentlemen?"
