"Where?!" Lawrence's reply came seconds after Ace called out to him.
"The Southern Duke's daughter. She was there in the basement with Kevin. She found him in his hamster animal form and took him."
"Did you meet her?" Lawrence inquired.
"No, I - I somehow was able to summon the dead creatures Kevin told us that were hidden in the basement. This dead man told me he saw Kevin being taken by the daughter. Were you able to meet her earlier?"
"No." Lawrence paused. "Ace, I did not know you were able to control the Ice Dwellers."
Ace was flustered. "I - I can't. My magic is to control ice and the dead. This is my second time trying to use my magic, okay? I also don't know how I was able to get him. I just know he is dead."
Lawrence was silent.
Ace turned his attention to the dead man. Before he could ask another question, Lawrence sent him a message.
"Ash just came inside the mansion through the main entrance. A woman was with him."
