"I understand."
Mr. Yorke said, "I called him Ethan Linden today, and he already spoke to me about it! He asked me to call him Nathan Fawcett from now on."
Anna Linden glanced at Nathan Fawcett, her expression complicated.
Anne Sutton hadn't expected it either. Nathan Fawcett was so adamant that he was completely unwilling to use the name Ethan Linden anymore.
Mr. Yorke said to Anna Linden, "But it doesn't matter what he calls himself, I still like him. I've always considered him a friend."
Even though he was Anna Linden's son and much younger than him, he didn't mind.
He said to Nathan Fawcett, "Since there's no place for you in the Linden Family anymore, why don't you come work at our family's company? I'll have Faye Yorke's father arrange a position for you."
Nathan Fawcett said, "That's not necessary. I want to take a break and spend more time with my child."
"Well, if you ever need anything, just contact me anytime."
He was clearly offering to back Nathan Fawcett up.
