Countless people had tried to poach him before!
But now when he called, as soon as people heard it was Charles Prescott, they lost all interest.
Everyone knew he had offended Nathan Fawcett and the Linden Family. Who would dare hire him now and risk displeasing the Lindens?
The Linden Group's bank collaborated with many corporations that relied on it for funding. Offending the Linden Family for a single Charles Prescott wasn't worth it.
Charles Prescott sat there for over an hour, making more than ten calls. Not a single person was willing to hire him.
'So now... SV is my only option?'
He drove home. He had just moved into this house and was living there alone, though Mia Shaw would occasionally come over.
When he got home, the caretaker looking after Mrs. Prescott in Westhaven called. "Mr. Prescott, the madam's health hasn't been good lately, so she can't look after Leo. Could you see when you have time to come pick him up?"
