Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 : Normal Couple and Twisted Couple?

"That was unexpected." a bird that can turn into a human and a goat human just walked in so suddenly.

Not only that, they're actually so truthful with their words. It hurts my heart a bit.

"Let's make some improvement."

They said the entrance door is too ominous, add that to the fact it appeared unknowingly. It might scare away potential customers.

'let's add some decorations, carve a symbol to make it fancy, and lastly, writings.'

It looks pretty impressive, I'm pretty proud of myself. This is the first time I've written in chaos languages, but it's not bad.

As for the place to go… yeah I can't control that.

'Since it's already bound by fate. I can tweak it at most, but it has to stay that way or else I will break the future lines.'

"The creator would scold me for that, can't go breaking those 'canon events' or whatever it called it."

Sighing helplessly, I then practice more of my culinary skills. Despite having 4 customers saying it's good, it isn't great by all means.

'Unlike what I saw in that world, my food still can't make them naked.'

So I spent my time preparing while waiting for the next customers to arrive.

Not knowing I've already fucked up.

======

The door opened, with two young high-schooler revealing themselves behind it. One is a boy and another is a girl.

The former has an average height with a slim figure and pale skin, He also has messy black hair that goes down to his nape with parted bangs and thin eyebrows.

While the latter is a girl that stands at above average height with mid-back length, chestnut brown hair, bangs that are swept to the right, and big golden-brown eyes.

Our protagonist quickly turned off the tv, as he was watching Gordon Ramsay's hell kitchen videos, and prepared himself to welcome his new customers.

"Welcome to void cafe~ The right place for resting and relaxing, please take a sit."

The two high-schooler got alerted when they sees his eyes. However, it quickly turned into sympathy as they think it was some sort of eye disease.

"Ah- eeto. We're here to give you a cake, this is a present for opening your café. We're sorry for not noticing until now. Even though you opened it beside us." The boy handed over a box that was neatly packed.

"Oh~ Thank you! Beside us? So we are neighbors?"

"Yes, we are from Cake Shop Iori right beside you." Although the young man is a bit confused why he asked that, he decided to let it pass.

"Hooo… Now I can't let you both go back empty-handed, can I? Would you mind tasting my cake in return? Since you are from a cake shop and all, I bet you know a stuff or two."

The boy looked towards the girl, asking her opinions on the offer.

"Hmm… I'm fine with it. It's not like we have anything else to do." The girl shrugged.

"Then we will trouble you, Eeto.." The boy struggled to say anything, as he doesn't know the identity of the man.

"Just call me waiter."

"Then, pardon our intrusion Waiter-san. My name is Izumi Miyamura, and this is-"

"Kyouko Hori, I'm his girlfriend. Pleased to meet you."

Not expecting her to introduce herself like that, Izumi's face turned a bit red with a slight smile on his face.

"Haha, youth. How nice." Believe it or not, this is coming from someone whose age barely passes 1 month.

======

With the waiter going back to the kitchen, the young couple got fascinated by what was inside the café.

"Ah… isn't this chair a bit too comfortable." Hori leaned her body, fully accepting the healing of the chair.

"Yeah.. it is.." Izumi isn't also so different, he rests his body on the chair. As he feels like he's flying and forgetting all the stress these past few days.

Too many orders had come ever since he changed his looks, and the store become a bit too popular until the point he doesn't even have time to rest properly.

While they were on cloud nine, 2 kids were quietly sneaking past them and made their way to the kitchen.

"Mister. We're hungry." Gyutaro tugged the clothes of our protagonist with Ume following behind him.

"Oh, you woke up? Go and wash up first. After you're done, go and take a seat with those two. I haven't finished cooking yet."

Nodding their heads, they washed themselves up before heading to the table with two high-schooler nodding off on the chair.

Gyutaro and Ume can understand it, however. These chairs are also one of the reasons they fell asleep so easily.

Coming back to the world, Miyamura finally noticed two children sitting across them huddling together. Looking at him with not-so-kindly eyes.

'What did I do?!' Miyamura checked himself, From top to bottom, and even sniffed his clothes to check if he was smelly. Wondering what has he done to earn the wary eyes of these cute children.

'They looked otherworldly. Especially the girl! She looked like a doll!' Miyamura thought.

White hair, blue eyes, skin as clear as snow. Those are characteristics that can only be found in an anime!

"He-Hello?..." awkwardly greeting them with a smile, the children's wariness increased, Gyutaro can even be seen leaning forward, hiding Ume from his sight.

It broke Miyamura's heart, to see how untrusted he was in the children's eyes.

Kyouko then woke up after getting nudged in the sides, She was about to beat Miyamura for waking her up like that. Before she was able to, she noticed two unapprovingly gazes right across.

"So cute!!!" surprised at the appearance of the children, she tries to touch them just to get blocked by the boy.

"Hands off my little sister." Gyutaro threatens, the only other person who passed and is allowed is the waiter. Other than him, No one shall touch her.

"Now. Now. Calm down, Gyutaro. Show some manners."

Before it turned badly, The waiter diffused the situation while bringing trays of food and cakes. Serving and placing them, one by one.

Gyutaro was about to start to dig in but stopped because his meals were closed off.

"You should apologize If you do something bad, no?" The waiter smiled, keeping his hand on the lid.

"No, No. I'm Sorry, It's my fault for being so rude, waiter-san. He didn't do anything wrong." Kyouko proceeds to defend Gyutaro since it was she who started it first.

Gyutaro frowned at the waiter, as if saying 'You heard her, right? It's not my fault.'

The waiter sighed, "It isn't about who's the one at fault here. Children needed to be taught how to apologize from an early age. So they can be respectable adults just like you."

Despite knowing it's Kyouko who's being rude first, the immediate aggression from Gyutaro isn't the right response either.

If they aren't disciplined from the start, the future of their lives would become rough. They would start to avoid and make excuses if they make a mistake. Instead of owning it up and apologizing as Kyouko did.

"Tch… Sorry." Gyutaro turned his head, showing how aren't used he was to apologize.

"Haha, That's a start!" the waiter rubbed Gyutaro's hair roughly, making him annoyed.

"Oy! Stop it!"

"Hahahahaha!"

The atmosphere becomes merry all of a sudden, with the waiter sitting there accompanying them. Gyutaro and Ume visibly ease their tension, as they slowly warmed up with Kyouko and Miyamura.

"This is very good, Waiter-san. The cheesecake is so fluffy and good!"

"Is that so? Do you think I should put this on the menu?"

"Definitely! I would love to eat this every day."

"But don't you already work for a Bakery? Why do you want to eat mine every day.."

"Exactly, That's how I know a good cake when I taste one."

"Hahaha, then I will take that compliment."

Such conversations keep on coming. The waiter being heavily interested in their lives kept on asking questions on and on.

"By the way, those "holes" on your ears are what's called piercings right? Isn't it usually a fashion only for mortal women?" the waiter asks Miyamura curiously.

"Not really, both men and women can wear them. It's pretty popular these days of age. Right, Hori-san?" Miyamura denies

"Yeah. Although, it does look at in a bad way." Kyouko agrees, while simultaneously frowning at the holes in his ears.

"Huh, why?"

"Maybe, because generally, the boys that wear earrings are delinquents and rebellious people. That's why it's usually associated with delinquency and frowned upon by society."

Kyouko let out a sigh before she goes back to eat. While muttering words 'Miyamura isn't like that.' Sulkily.

"Interesting… I guess the Idiom 'Don't judge a book by its cover' I once read is for these kinds of situations."

The waiter felt satisfied, The knowledge and his study hasn't gone to waste. Even if he's still lacking common sense, what a little bit of time can't cover?

"Well, it's only some that actually judge you. The others usually just showed some minor curiosity, while a small part would just avoid you."

Miyamura thinks back to the time when he hadn't met Kyouko, with tattoos showing, and piercings everywhere. He would be given all kinds of looks just by walking around.

'It really is a blessing' Miyamura thought, he wondered what would happen if at that time he decided to just ignore Souta at the time.

He definitely would stay as that gloomy and quiet person at the back of the class, hating and annoyed at basically everything he does.

Not until he met Kyouko, he was able to finally enjoy living. He was finally able to start seeing colors in his gray life.

'Guess I need to include Shindou as well.' Miyamura chuckled.

The waiter was about to ask another question. However, the door of the café was opened.

He got up from his seat and prepare to welcome his new customers.

They then revealed to be Sebas, our good respectable old man. Who does not come alone, bringing two guests with him this time.

One is an undead skeleton creature who is devoid of skin and flesh. Wearing an elaborate, jet-black academic gown adorned with golden and violet edges. The skeleton also has a red orb, floating under his ribs.

While the other wears an impressive black full-plate armor with a unique helmet that has two horns on top and carries a battle-axe with her.

"Welcome to void cafe~ how may I serve you? Please take a seat." The waiter welcomes the undead and invites them.

Excited, about what kind of new things these new customers would bring.
