My words echoed with power and conviction, enough to draw the attention of the white-haired young man across the room.

Carter Hill's face twisted into an angry sneer as he jabbed his finger at me. "Good, well! I never thought someone from River City would dare to speak to me this way!"

He tossed a wooden stick at my feet with contempt in his eyes.

"I'll give you one chance," Carter declared coldly. "Break both your legs, and I'll consider this matter settled."

I glanced down at the stick near my shoes, then suddenly kicked it upward.

The wooden projectile sailed through the air directly toward Carter. It brushed past his head with precision and embedded itself into the wall behind him.

Cracks spread like spider webs across the wall's surface from the impact point.

Carter's expression hardened further. "I've already offered you a chance," he sneered. "If you don't appreciate it, don't blame me for what happens next."
