Korn, Mabel, Vivian, Jamaal and Tia were staring at the group of Knights, Guards, and a few volunteers of the night patrol that had just arrived.
Tia's eyes widened when she saw one of her family members among the Knights.
It was a pale-skinned man with short light green hair in his mid-50s donned in a black armor with glowing green accents -- the standard armor set for any Knight stationed in Gru'n Town and Heus'chrecke Village.
"Iro-Uncle Iro-Steffen, iro-please iro-arrest iro-these iro-people! Iro-They iro-not iro-only iro-attacked Iro-Piet, Iro-Matz iro-and iro-I, iro-but iro-they iro-also iro-murdered Iro-Piet iro-and Iro-Matz!"
Between the Gru'n and the Heus'chrecke family, Steffen was a member of the Gru'n family because he had 4 True Magic Art Affinities.
Under Viscountess Ethel's family, when it comes to family last names, these were the rules:
• all descendants that have at least 3 True Magic Art Affinities and the family's Lore Magic will have the Gru'n last name
• all descendants that have 2 True Magic Art Affinities and the family's Lore Magic will have the Heus'chrecke last name and must refer to the family members with the Gru'n last name as "Lord" or "Lady"
• all descendants who only have 1 True Magic Art Affinity will be "recycled"
• all descendants who don't have the family's Lore Magic will be "recycled"
• all descendants who don't have the family's Lore Magic but have another Aristocratic Noble family's Lore Magic will be sent to the Aristocratic Noble family that has the same Lore Magic
This was the family planning etiquette that all Aristocratic Noble families more or less adhered to.
Many would say this practice is extremely harsh, but in the eyes of most people in the upper echelons of society, this was the most practical or straight-forward approach to maintain each family's power, keep the other families in check, and ensure that there will always be enough stock of powerful beings to protect the Northern Continent, mainly the human race, from invaders.
Anyone who tries to disrupt this chain would be met with swift and strict punishment. In fact, not even the Orion Kingdom, which has the hearts of most parents and women throughout the Northern Continent because of their strong stance to push the Female and Children Protection Laws, could interfere with this.
And as for Steffen's position as Knight, his position was like the Aristocratic Noble Knights in the other kingdoms -- special.
Aristocratic Nobles can be Knights. However, they can only be stationed within their respective families' Town and Village, the City and at the Royal Palace(s).
If an Aristocratic Noble Knight chooses to be stationed in his/her families' Town or Village, the highest rank he/she could hold was Knight Major.
On the other hand, if an Aristocratic Noble Knight chooses to be stationed at the City or Royal Palace, he/she could apply for the Supreme positions (Supreme Commander, Supreme Major, Supreme Captain, Supreme Lieutenant and Supreme Sergeant), provided that he/she has met the necessary requirements and there is a vacant spot.
Steffen pulled his gaze away from Tia and then focused on Piet and Matz, who were both bloody and unconscious.
"Lord Knight Major Steffen," Mabel announced. "My Squad and I came here to investigate about the ongoing case under the Holy Crusade about the illegal distribution of a Magic Item, and Lord Piet, Lord Matz and Lady Tia happened to have the information we were looking for, but they refused to cooperate peacefully. Once we're done interviewing them at the Branch Chapter Temple, they will be released right away."
Steffen turned to Mabel.
"Ongoing case? Haven't all of the culprits been arrested already? Even the representatives of the Temple of Blacksmiths and the Temple of Wizards have already labeled the case as closed."
"The Temple of Blacksmiths and the Temple of Wizards is not the Temple of Priests, Lord Knight Major."
"Iro-Uncle Iro-Steffen…! Iro-Please iro-don't iro-let iro-these iro-foreigners iro-disrespect iro-our iro-family iro-and iro-our iro-iro-people…! Iro-They iro-absolutely iro-have iro-no iro-right iro-to iro-do iro-this, iro-murdering iro-us iro-like iro-we're iro-nothing..!" Tia said.
"Lord Piet and Lord Matz aren't dead, Lord Knight Major. I can even have one of your men accompany us at the Branch Chapter Temple. Just make sure your people behave," Mabel said.
One of the Knights beside Steffen, a man in his mid-40s with red hair, leaned over and then whispered.
Using his full Magic Force -- technically, Steffen's Physical and Magic Force was 300 points with an additional (+60) from his [Warrior's Body], [Warrior's Mind], and [Warrior's Heart] -- Steffen sized up Korn and Vivian with his gaze.
But between the two, he spent more time studying Vivian.
He had 2 members of the Temple of Hunters in his group: one was the Knight who just whispered to him, while the other was a Knight in his late 30s. Both of them said that their Class Magic Spell [Danger Sense] got triggered by Korn and Vivian.
Korn was a local and he was the assigned Gray Cloak of Gru'n Town's Branch Chapter Temple, so everyone was already familiar with him.
Meanwhile, Vivian, was definitely a new face. But what caught his attention was that she was able to trigger the [Danger Sense] of his Knight companions despite her looking so young.
The Knight in his mid-40s was a local, but wasn't part of the Gru'n family or the Heus'chrecke family. Instead, he was a member of a High-Tier Noble family called "Lange". He has 3 True Magic Art Affinities, and his Physical and Magic Force was Spirit Steel or 210 points.
On the other hand, the Knight in his late 30s was also a local and also wasn't part of the Gru'n family or the Heus'chrecke family. He was a member of a High-Tier Commoner family called "Kraus". He had 2 True Magic Art Affinities, and his Physical and Magic Force was Adamantite-Rainbow Steel or 165 points.
The Hunter's Class Magic spell [Danger Sense] doesn't require any mana, and it would automatically trigger if someone more powerful is sizing up the owner of the spell. Although this may seem overpowered or OP, it still had a flaw: The spell doesn't specifically inform the owner how powerful the other party is compared to the owner. Does the other party have a higher Physical Force? If yes, how high? Half a Grade? One Grade? Two Grades? Two and a half Grades? Ten Grades? The same goes for the Magic Force. All it tells the owner is that the other party sizing him/her is more powerful.
Steffen strategized all of the possibilities in his head.
He knew that he could defeat Korn.
Meanwhile, with Vivian, even if he or his companions could defeat her, the biggest problem would be the aftermath, specifically the politics.
Firstly, for someone her age to be able to trigger the [Danger Sense] of a Knight with Spirit Steel Physical and Magic Force, that meant that she was quite special and therefore came from a powerful family.
Secondly, if they hurt her and her family decides to push back, not only would they be facing the wrath of her family, but they would also be facing the wrath of the Holy Kingdom and the Orion Kingdom.
And lastly, there was her hair and skin. No matter how he looks at her hair, it was purple, but with red highlights. However, what makes it truly interesting is that it looked real. Meanwhile, her skin was pale, a common skin tone in the Iron Kingdom. Assuming that her was real, and she was related to the Count Faction of the Iron Kingdom, not only would his family be facing whatever Priest family she's from, the Holy Kingdom, the Orion Kingdom, and the Iron Kingdom's Count Faction.
Dealing with Korn would already be a huge headache -- politics-wise.
But with Vivian, and to add Korn on top of that, it would be a mega huge headache for his family.
Had they rendered Tia to a similar state to Piet and Matz, then there was a way. He could kill Korn and Jamaal and then capture Mabel and Vivian. That way, his family would have the upper hand.
Steffan finally made a decision.
"I ask you to heal Lord Piet and Lord Matz and have them change into proper clothes. And to make sure that all 3 of them will cooperate peacefully, I will have 2 of my Knight companions accompany you at the Temple of Priests' Branch Chapter Temple's office."
Tia's eyes widened. Even some of Steffan's companions were surprised.
"Iro-Uncle Iro-Steffan… Iro-Why…?" Tia said, her legs growing weak by the second, unable to believe what she just heard.
Steffan ignored her.
Mabel let out an internal sigh of relief while still maintaining a calm and cool demeanor, and she gave a slight bow.
"I accept, Lord Knight Major."
In her head, even if her, Korn, Jamaal and Vivian were to gang up on Steffen, they still wouldn't stand a chance.
One summoned Golem from him is enough to wipe all of them out, including Korn.
Or his Lore Magic alone could wipe out her, Jamaal and Vivian.
And that's just with Steffen. She has yet to include Steffen's companions, particularly the Knights.
As far as she was concerned, they had 0% chance of winning.
***
9:41 p.m.
Meeting Room, Branch Chapter Temple building, Gru'n Town.
Vivian was sitting in the lounging area of the Meeting Room.
So I'm back in this kind of position, huh…
This wasn't the same Meeting Room assigned to their Squad. And at the moment, she was the only person in the room because something had happened.
Well…
I am an Inquisitor…
But come on, man…
She recalled what happened earlier in front of the restaurant-sauna called Burning Gem.
I honestly thought another round of fighting was going to break out right then and there…
So that's how Aristocratic Nobles from a Subsidiary Kingdom act, huh…
Very different from the Aristocratic Nobles of the Marbleam Kingdom..
I mean…
Both the Duke Faction of the Marbleam Kingdom and the Marquis Faction of the Iron Kingdom are 'allies' of the Holy Kingdom…
Very different reaction indeed…
Like, I could understand if the young ones are scared to challenge the Holy Kingdom's authorities while the old ones aren't…
But what about the Iron Kingdom's Duke Faction and Count Faction…?
Based on the files that Pen gave me, the Duke Faction is closer to the Twin Kingdom, while the Count Faction is neutral…
She shook her head.
Whatever…
I want a drink right now…
And why didn't that annoying idiot die…?
My God, so pathetic and useless…
Two Aristocratic Nobles lost to a dumb as a rock retard Infantry and an Inquisitor…
Again, a person from the retard Division…
Where all Priests and Priestesses who failed the Training Course of the other Divisions would be thrown at…
Like how…?!
Why…?!
You got all of the advantages and yet still lost…!
How is that even possible…?!
I even deliberately took my sweet time to arrive just so you can at least kill that annoying idiot retard…!
Are you both also retards…?!
Even a 5-year-old child could easily outsmart those retards from the Infantry Division…!
She pressed her fingers against her half-mask.
"Ugh…! I'm starting to have a headache from all this retardation around me…"
She placed her hand down and then let out a sigh.
"As always… If you want something done, you've got to do it yourself…"
She chuckled.
So basically, it was a battle between an Inquisitor and Retard #1 versus Retard #2 and Retard #3…
She covered her mouth as she continued chuckling.
Battle of the Retards…!
She shook her head.
Hey Vivian…
That's not cool…
No matter what world or reality you're in, it's never cool or acceptable to bully people with deficiencies…
That would mean, you're in their le--…
She gasped and covered her mouth.
Oh my God…!
Is that how it is…?
Right…
Yeah…
It all makes sense now…
Why in God's name didn't I think about that perspective right away…?
I mean, yeah, why am I expecting people to be smart or at least have enough self-awareness and self-respect to be capable of making the right and sensible decision…?
I'm needlessly torturing myself…
Holy shit…
I'm a masochist…
When did I become a masochist…?
I mean, I like to believe I'm a realist…
But masochist…?
Never…
Anyhow, these are lower lifeforms after all…
I should just patronize these lower lifeforms…
She let out a sigh of relief, and then her lips broke out into a very warm and kind smile.
"I feel like a new person after realizing that fact…
"I guess this is what they call 'wisdom'…?
"Or was it 'clarity'…?"
I no longer hate Brother Lieutenant Jamaal and the others…
If I'm going to hate him or anyone, I might as well hate nature itself…
After all, that is simply the nature of lower lifeforms…
That would be like expecting a parrot to learn about Calculus because they're able to speak or mimic human language, and then getting GENUINELY angry that the parrot couldn't learn it, let alone comprehend the basics of Calculus…
She let out a sigh and shook her head while still holding that very warm and kind smile.
"Vivian, you're in the wrong here. Do better next time, okay~?"
Ka-cha!
A door opened, and it was Mabel and Korn entering the Meeting Room.
"It can't be helped, sister. We all did what we could do," Korn said.
"I know," she said and then paused for a moment. "So where will you be staying?"
"I'll just sit at the long table with the Knight."
Mabel nodded.
"Okay."
She headed over to the lounging area where Vivian was seated. Meanwhile, Korn went to the long table.
When Mabel finally reached the area and then sat at one of the three-person sofas, she focused on Vivian.
"A Councilor will be involved. I'll handle most of the questions since I know more about the case and you just got here."
Vivian nodded.
"Sure."
"Come sit beside me."
Vivian got up from one of the one-person sofas.
"Is this your first time interviewing a person or suspect with a Councilor present?" Mabel asked.
"No."
"Have you interviewed an Aristocratic Noble before?"
"No."
Mabel nodded.
"Okay, observe and learn."
It wasn't that Mabel was looking down on Vivian or anything. From her point of view, Vivian was still in her mid-20s. And based on her own personal experience, the average age of a Lieutenant was between mid and late 20s. So based on those two things, the probability of Vivian having any experience handling cases that involve powerful people was very low or not enough.
To add more context:
• No rank - an Inquisitor of this rank could only handle cases at the station he/she is assigned to
• Sergeant and High Sergeant - an Inquisitor of this rank could be given Field Missions around or near the area of his/her station
• Lieutenant and High Lieutenant - an Inquisitor of this rank could be given Field Missions far away from the area of his/her station
• Captain, High Captain and Chapter Master - an Inquisitor of this rank would only handle special and high-profile Field Missions
Ka-cha!
A door opened and it was Jamaal, along with 3 other people: Piet, a Councilor and a Knight.
Jamaal gestured his hand over to the other vacant three-person sofa in the lounging area.
"Lord Piet, Lord Councilor, please join the Sister Inquisitors over there."
Piet and the Councilor went over to the lounging area. Meanwhile, the Knight went over to the long table, where Korn was at.
Mabel and the rest of her companions didn't plan on having a Councilor attend. However, before they could even conduct the interrogation, someone from the Gru'n family and the Heus'chrecke family sent out a Councilor and demanded that he be there or else they would pull out Piet, Matz and Tia, and then file a lawsuit against the Branch Chapter Temple.
When Piet and the Councilor finally reached the lounging area, they immediately sat down.
"Good evening, thank you for coming here. Please allow me to properly introduce ourselves. I am Sister Inquisitor Mabel," Mabel said and then gestured her hand towards Vivian. "And this is Sister Inquisitor Monad."
The Councilor nodded.
"I am Councilor Florian, and I am here to serve as the Defense Councilor of Lord Piet, Lord Matz and Lady Tia."
Florian was a pale-skinned man with light green hair and in his early 30s. And of course, he was related to the Gru'n family and the Heus'chrecke family. However, he only had 2 True Magic Art Affinities, so he had the Heus'chrecke last name.
Mabel focused on Piet.
"Lord Piet, I want to confirm something: Are you the Head Manager of Burning Gem?"
"Iro-Yes."
"Lord Piet, Councilor Florian, I forgot to mention this. But let's stick with the Zonian language during the course of this interview."
"Iro-We're iro-in iro-the Iro-Iron Iro-Kingdom iro-and iro-I iro-am iro-from iro-the Iro-Iron Iro-Kingdom. Iro-Why iro-should iro-I?"
Florian turned to Piet.
"Lord Piet, please cooperate for now."
Piet turned to him and raised an eyebrow.
"Iro-You iro-dare iro-side iro-with iro-the iro-foreigners? Iro-They iro-came iro-to iro-our iro-family's iro-shop, iro-demanded iro-that iro-we iro-cooperate iro-with iro-them iro-without iro-any iro-warrant, iro-and iro-then iro-attacked iro-our iro-people iro-when iro-we iro-refused iro-to iro-bow iro-down iro-to iro-them. Iro-Where iro-is iro-your iro-pride iro-and iro-allegiance iro-to iro-the iro-family iro-and iro-as iro-an Iro-Aristocratic Iro-Noble? Iro-I iro-should've iro-expected iro-this iro-from iro-a iro-failed iro-relative iro-like iro-yourself. Iro-You iro-are iro-a iro-disgrace!"
"Iro-Lord Iro-Piet, iro-we've iro-already iro-spoken iro-about iro-this. Iro-Please --"
Piet turned away from him and pointed at Mabel.
"Iro-This iro-is iro-unlawful. Iro-You iro-don't iro-have --"
The Knight on the long table got up from his seat and then stepped forward.
"Iro-Lord Iro-Piet, Iro-Lord Iro-Knight Iro-Major Iro-Steffan iro-left iro-an iro-order iro-that iro-you iro-should iro-cooperate."
Piet waved his hand.
"Iro-Him?! Iro-So iro-what iro-if iro-it's iro-from iro-him?! Iro-He iro-may iro-be iro-an iro-elder, iro-but iro-he's iro-just iro-one iro-of iro-the iro-elders! Iro-If iro-the iro-rest iro-of iro-the iro-elders iro-heard iro-about iro-this iro-blatant iro-disrespect iro-to iro-our iro-family, iro-they iro-would iro-all iro-side iro-with iro-me!"
"Iro-Lord Piet, Iro-Lord Iro-Knight Iro-Major Iro-Steffan iro-has iro-already iro-sent iro-out iro-word iro-to iro-the iro-rest iro-of iro-your iro-family iro-members iro-and iro-they iro-sent Iro-Lord Iro-Councilor Iro-Florian."
Piet pointed at him.
"Iro-Silence, iro-outsider! Iro-Who iro-are iro-you iro-to iro-talk iro-about iro-my iro-iro-family?!"
"Iro-Lord Iro-Piet, iro-if iro-you iro-don't iro-want iro-to iro-cooperate, iro-feel iro-free iro-to iro-do iro-so. Iro-However, iro-you iro-will iro-be iro-left iro-alone iro-to iro-deal iro-with iro-whatever iro-comes iro-next," Florian said.
Piet glared at everyone, especially at Korn and Mabel, before finally returning to his seat.
"I will repeat my question again, Lord Piet, and I hope that you will communicate in Zonian," Mabel said. "Are you the Head Manager of Burning Gem?"
Peit pursed his lips for a moment.
"Yes."
"Since you're the Head Manager, you oversee everything that happens at Burning Gem?"
"Sometimes."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm the Head Manager, but that doesn't mean I have to do everything. What would be the point of having assistants and employees then?"
"But whenever something big or important happens at Burning Gem, you will at least know it or be informed about it?"
"Yes."
"Were you aware that Brother Inquisitor Song, Brother Captain Kian, and Brother High Lieutenant Stale visited your shop this afternoon?"
"No."
"Were you aware that Lord Lukas of the Kohler family visited your shop this afternoon?"
"No."
"What were you doing at Burning Gem?"
"Working."
"What kind of work?"
"I was reviewing the documents of our monthly and weekly revenue at my office."
It was a lie. He and Matz were at his office drinking alcohol and playing "adult games" with a group of women.
"Do you know who's in charge of overseeing the guests that enter and leave your shop?"
"Matz and Tia."
"Do you know anyone else besides them?"
"The assistants under them, I guess."
Mabel summoned all of her mental strength to suppress her body from showing her true reaction.
She knew that Piet was the Overall Head Manager of Burning Gem, Matz was the Head Manager of the restaurant section, and Tia was the Head Manager of the sauna section.
She nodded.
"I see. Thank you for your time, Lord Piet," she said and then turned to Florian. "Councilor Florian, I would like to speak with Lord Matz next."
***
Ka-cha!
A door opened and it was Jamaal, along with 3 other people: Matz, Florian, and the same Knight from earlier.
Jamaal ignored Matz's mean-mug towards him as he gestured his hand over to the other vacant three-person sofa in the lounging area.
"Lord Matz, Lord Councilor, please join the Sister Inquisitors over there."
Matz let out a snort and then headed over to the lounging area. And as he was heading over there, he also mean-mugged Korn and Mabel.
As for the Knight, he went over to the long table to join Korn once again.
When Matz and Florian finally arrived at the lounging area, they immediately sat down with Matz folding his arms across his chest and crossing his legs.
"Iro-I iro-don't iro-know iro-anything."
Mabel let out a warm smile.
"Good evening, thank you for coming here and let us conduct this interview in Zonian. Please allow me to properly introduce ourselves. I am Sister Inquisitor Mabel," Mabel said and then gestured her hand towards Vivian. "And this is Sister Inquisitor Monad."
Florian nodded.
"I am Councilor Florian, and I am here to serve as the Defense Councilor of Lord Piet, Lord Matz and Lady Tia."
Matz ignored everyone and swept his gaze around the room.
"Lord Matz, I want to ask you: What is your position or responsibilities at Burning Gem?" Mabel asked.
Matz continued ignoring everyone. Truth be told, this was his first time coming to the Branch Chapter Temple building, so he was a bit genuinely curious. But given his background, he immediately lost his curiosity. However, despite all that, he still refused to cooperate and continued sweeping his gaze around the room.
"Lord Matz, please cooperate. The elders have sent me here to make sure that all of this goes peacefully," Florian said.
After a couple of seconds, he turned to Mabel.
"Iro-Whatever iro-it iro-is iro-you iro-want iro-to iro-know, iro-I iro-don't iro-know."
"Lord Matz, even Lord Piet himself peacefully cooperated. The elders also said that if you choose not to cooperate, you will have to deal with whatever comes next all by yourself," Florian said.
Matz gritted his teeth and then glared at Florian.
When he noticed that Florian didn't show any reaction, he relaxed his expression a bit and then turned to Mabel.
"Like I said, I DON'T KNOW."
"You don't know what your position or your responsibilities are at Burning Gem?"
Matz rolled his eyes.
"I'm in charge of managing the restaurant section."
It was then he finally noticed Vivian -- specifically, the small gap between her black stockings and the skirt of her one-piece black turtleneck fitting long-sleeved short dress.
Vivian immediately covered her legs with her White Cloak, causing the brows of Matz to knit together and then he stared at her half-masked face.
"Iro-Purple iro-hair? Iro-Count Iro-Faction?"
Vivian didn't say anything.
Mabel cleared her throat.
"Lord Matz, since you're the one in charge of the restaurant section of Burning Gem, I would like to ask you this: Did you see Brother Inquisitor Song, Brother Captain Kian, and Brother High Lieutenant Stale enter your shop?"
"No," Matz said without looking at Mabel, solely focusing on Vivian.
"How about Lord Lukas of the Kohler family?"
"No."
"What exactly do you do at Burning Gem?"
"Hey, do you speak?" he asked Vivian.
Vivian didn't say anything.
"Lord Matz, please focus on the interview," Mabel said.
Matz leaned back on his seat with his arms still folded and his legs crossed.
"Iro-I iro-won't iro-speak iro-if iro-she iro-won't iro-speak!"
"Lord Matz, you're an Aristocratic Noble, please act accordingly."
Matz looked at Florian.
"Iro-Did iro-I iro-hear iro-this iro-woman iro-correctly? Iro-Did iro-she iro-just iro-say iro-I iro-should iro-act iro-accordingly? Iro-The iro-same iro-woman iro-who iro-came iro-to iro-our iro-shop, iro-demanded iro-that iro-we iro-cooperate iro-with iro-her iro-even iro-though iro-she iro-had iro-no iro-legal iro-warrant iro-or iro-whatsoever, iro-and iro-then iro-attacked iro-me, Iro-Piet, Iro-Tia iro-and iro-the iro-rest iro-of iro-our iro-people iro-at Iro-Burning Iro-Gem?"
"Answer Sister Inquisitor Mabel's question," Vivian said.
Matz's ears immediately perked up and he excitedly turned to her.
"So you're not from the Count Faction~ Speak again, I didn't catch that accent."
"Have you seen Lord Lukas from the Kohler family enter Burning Gem?"
Matz let out a whistle as he leaned back in his seat once again.
"Iro-So Iro-Luxen Iro-Kingdom? Iro-I iro-didn't iro-know iro-the iro-Count iro-Faction iro-had iro-started iro-interbreeding iro-with iro-the iro-Priests iro-from iro-the Iro-Luxen Iro-Kingdom"
"Hey!" a male voice suddenly said.
Everyone turned to the person who said it, and it was Korn.
"I don't mind if you refuse to answer the questions. But if you sexually harass a Sister and insult the Temple of Priests right in front of me again, I'll turn you into dust!"
Matz's face twisted violently as he rose from his seat.
"IRO-WHAT IRO-DID IRO-YOU IRO-SAY?!"
The Knight immediately stood up to block and calm Korn down, Florian grabbed on Matz's hand and pleaded, and Mabel stood up to get in between Korn and Matz.
"Iro-Honored Iro-High Iro-Priest, iro-please iro-calm iro-down…" the Knight said.
"Iro-Lord Iro-Matz, iro-are iro-you iro-trying iro-to iro-start iro-a iro-war iro-with iro-the Iro-Holy Iro-Kingdom…?!" Florian said.
"The two of you, calm down this instant!" Mabel said.
As for Vivian, she covered his mouth and let out a small yawn.
"High Brother Korn, please calm down," Mabel said and then turned to Florian. "Councilor, please take Lord Matz away from here."
Ka-cha!
The door suddenly opened and it was Jamaal.
"Brother Lieutenant Jamaal, please calm High Brother Korn down," Mabel said and then turned to the Knight. "Iro-Knight! Iro-Help Iro-Councilor Iro-Florian iro-escort Iro-Lord Iro-Matz iro-away iro-from iro-this iro-room!"
Jamaal and then Knight immediately did what they were told.
When Korn finally calmed down and Matz was escorted out of the room, Mabel returned to her seat and then looked at Vivian, who had a cool and casual demeanor.
She wanted to reprimand her, but bit her tongue in the end.
"Sister Inquisitor."
Vivian turned to her without saying a word.
"Please escort High Brother Korn away from this room."
Hearing what Mabel said, Korn immediately reacted.
"Sister Inquisitor, it's fine, I've already calmed down. I'm sorry, it was my mistake. I shouldn't have lost my temper like that."
Mabel shook her head.
"I'm sorry, High Brother, but if we continue the interview with you here, the Viscountess' family could use this against us in a lawsuit. I will need to at least swap you with someone else if I'm going to interview Lady Tia.
"Brother Lieutenant Jamaal and I would remain here to interview Lady Tia."
