Chapter 13 - Chapter Thirteen

Welcome to another episode of case files, 'The beach killer'. A serial killer who killed several women who were believed to be prostitutes,' the robotic voice behind my gadget said. I was half way into the podcast, it was very interesting I can't recall how I ended in the position I was in, my legs on the left window pane and my head on the door. But I surely do recall why I decided to switch to the podcast, this two were flirting without even trying to hide He pulled into the gas station. Next to it was a liquor store. 'We are headed out, he snapped me into reality as they alighted and the other two pulling with loud music. Aziz hit my window as he pulled my hair yelling "Biiitch! Let's go for some gin."

_Ouch! You know that hurts? Removing my left ear pod and sitting upright. He moves his mouth with no sound but since I was looking at him I clearly got the message right "it was meant to." They were my boys; I was part of the gang so I somehow understood the rowdiness.

"I'm not here to escort couples, I'm staying in," Aziz closed the door dramatically and said "We all reckon my advice." "My offer still stands,' Arnold added as they walked away laughing. I mimicked him and went back into my position listening to my podcast.

'This guy must have been dump to shoot his victims at the back of the head! I exclaimed. I was taken a-by with the case file I barely realized my foolish friends had taken quite some to get back. When I realized it had been some time I alighted to go and check on them. Right on time, Aziz pulled the door and they marched towards me. Each with their girlfriend. Every girl in the squad at the moment carried snacks well apart from me. I think Anne might have carried mine. Lennox carried two bottles of London dry gin. Aziz carried several plastic tumblers and a soft-drink. Arnold went to pay for the gas services. From a distance he pulled one of the tumblers with a wide smile, shaking it in the air he said "Naya! You know we love you." I smiled back because I know whenever one of us said he loved us all things were about to become messier. Things were about to go down differently.

I looked at the alcohol as he poured it into everyone's tumbler and smiled I don't know why exactly. Lennox held his high for a toast and everyone followed suit. 'Let's toast,' he said like those rich men on TV who are always toasting to success. 'One for the Road,' he blurted out loudly and we repeated after him in unison '_one for the road-', we toasted and we took the first shot. The alcohol flowed down our throats; it was burning with a strong taste. Shaking our heads I yelled "Another one.' Lennox looked at me and said "You're the only reason we'll die earlier,' and he served us. We took another shot and Anne being paranoid as usual she said "you do realize you can't drink and drive.' Arnold threw his arm around her neck and I looked at the other two boys with some sneaky eye and said "Who said so,' they replied the same thing and we began to laugh idiotically.

She's right though, you guys can't drink and drive, it's risky,' one of the girls said. She was Aziz's I suppose. I looked at her with attitude about to ask if she was my mother but I found it inappropriate. "Dear court of public opinion, your unpopular opinion....' "Naya! Anne cried out gesticulating that I should put an end to my stupid mannerism. Well as the obedient girl I was I put a halt to whatever that was, took our last shots and drove away. Whoever was driving really did put us out on a suicide-mission. These guys were over speeding, competing each other "This is madness,' Anne panicked. "Loosen up,' I shouted from the back seat as I added more alcohol unto my tumbler. "Yooh! I'm enjoying this," he shouted.

Anne continuously pleaded with him to slow down but every time she did this, he increased the speed as if telling him, if I slow down this loser's will defeat me. I guess one group of persons that you can't advice are the drunkards.

Luckily we pulled up to our destination, Aziz's vocational house safely "Welcome to my humble home everyone,' he said as he lifted his arms with the keys in his arms. Woooow! Look at that! A bungalow amidst a few of its kind. At least now I knew whose cars those were or so I thought. I was drank but I couldn't fail to get hold of the ambiance. He pushed the heavy wooden doors open. In two's they walked in, on the outside I was left , my mouth agape, admiring the building before my eyeballs and asking myself what was the actual profession his parents did. Maybe they were Mafia's, cartels or maybe drug Lords those were the only things I could think. This guy was filthy rich. I walked darting my eyes all over the place. The shiny grey painted walls bore the most expensive portraits. Most had the golden frames. One of portraits' was a man who somewhat looked like him, perhaps his grandfather or great grandfather. I can't forget the hanging swords right beside it. Not sure but I guess it was someone from his family lineage. The golden seats went hand in hand with the Arabic heavy duty carpet. The floor was maintained to the later, with zero stains. The staircase barricade leading to the upper rooms was something else. The rooms were very fancy, the swimming pool with a hot tub, very flamboyant and heavenly scene. I'd pay to go back their once more. Till date I don't think I have seen such a wonderful place. Everyone shared a room a part from the single me and we were going to stay there for approximately three days more specifically the entire weekend. I was so drank and I just got into bed and I'm not sure whether they kept drinking or got to bed as well.

The sunrays penetrated through the shear curtains right to my face. It was her younger sister's room. Most of the things were in pink, the wallpapers, the dollhouse, curtains, and fluffy sandals. I'd say it was literally Barbie's room. There was even a unicorn posture beside her bed. I never wanted to stay and covet more so I threw the white rob on with the fluffy sandals and walked downstairs straight to the kitchen. I had to figure out what was for breakfast. I opened the fridge, I didn't see anything catchy. So I moved to the cabinets, I open one after the other as I closed looking for something edible. In the process, the doorbell rang. For the first time I thought I was the one hearing my things. So I kept opening the cabinets looking for anything edible. The doorbell went again, and again continuously. I rushed to the place where my urgency was required. I unlocked the door and pulled it open.

A lady of medium-height, not so plump almost in mid-thirties of Latin origin stood there. She vestured a red long sleeved t-shirt and orange-floral suspender skirt with white rubber shoes. She carried a knitted hand bag on her shoulder. Grinning I raised my left eyebrow smiling awkwardly like asking her what she wants. She didn't reciprocate the smile; instead she put on her serious face. I was about to close the door when it hit that I couldn't do it as it wasn't my house. Quite embarrassing I know. So I called out for Aziz. "Aziz! Aziz! You have a visitor,' I informed him.

Like statues we gazed at each other till he came down. He slowly walked down the stairs. He had a floral short on with a rob as well and some slides on. He didn't tie the rob so you could see his chest. "Oh! Sandra, Good morning," he said "Good morning too, young Boss," she replied. I was perplexed, 'young Boss!' they kept conversing. 'I thought you were on leave," he asked "Big boss! Asked me to ensure that you find the comfort and you lack nothing,' she answered politely and humbly. 'Maybe you get us, some grocery and junks, otherwise we are loaded, right? He asked there was no answer. Right Naya? He asked once more. Ohhh! He was talking to me? What I'm I now? Approving servant? I thought. I looked at him in amazement before asking "Are you talking to me?" He stepped on my leg, I let out a soft sigh "Ouch!" on looking at him he nodded his head.

"We're stuffed, we loaded, we wealthy and soaked," I exaggerated and just then I realized how they looked at me weirdly I retrieved my words. "I'm sorry, but honestly we good." He smiled and she walked away assuring him she'll be back in less than thirty minutes. We closed the door heading into the kitchen and the first thing I asked him was "who was she?" "My father's most loyal servant," he replied.

"What's there to consume? I am famishing," he said rubbing his stomach. "We just confirmed to her that we are loaded,' weirdly pointing outside.

I had to,' he said as he proceeded to look through the fridge. "Cereals and Milk it is," he said as pulled them out and handed them to me at a very close range. His hands on mine, A cold chill rushed down my spine, my heart skipped a bit. I tried to maintain eye contact but every time I drifted to his lips. I really wanted to jump in for a kiss. I was about to lean in for a kiss when Lennox walked in on us. "Jesus turn me blind how do I unsee this.' Aziz took a step back placing the cereals on my hand and turned to Lennox who shook his head in disbelief shaking our heads in disbelief. "There's nothing to unsee after all,' I said turning to pull out a bowl to pour in the cereals. "Guess what brother! I walked in on them,' Lennox said. "No waaay!' Arnold giggled loudly as they teased us. Looking me deep into my eye as if cussing me for playing the two friends 'Where's the dignity? They said in unison with loud laughs waking everyone in the house. His eyes were way speaking a lot. He really wanted to trash talk but couldn't coz everyone would know that we were playing Anne and that wouldn't look on either me or him

"Uncouth,' Aziz also said laughing and I made the toppings "uncultured swine's those ones." The girl who was with Aziz, the one I hadn't bothered myself to even ask the name walked in with a silky top and short asking who are we insulting. "No one baby girl,' he approached, rubbed her flatteringly and he led her out to the pool.

After several minutes of Lennox teasing me and Arnolds sarcastic wise words "A guilty conscience needs no accuser,' and many more words Anne walked in , still with her pajamas. "A tiresome night," I teased her and she raised her middle finger walked past me and pulled out some eggs from the fridge, some flour and milk ready to prepare us Pancakes for breakfast. After the feed everyone headed to the pool in their bikinis. Since I'm not so comfortable with my body I declined the offer and stayed indoors. I wasn't doing anything in particular so I headed to his parents room. I sneaked in quietly.
