(A/n: I feel like filling up some holes for the period when Shadow was able to wake up, and with Tails, Amy, and Rouge... It doesn't really sit right for me if I didn't.)

~Prison Island~
(POV: Miles "Tails" Prower)
I felt numb seeing Sonic have his face grabbed like something out of a WWE tournament and have that purple streak drag him through the sands of that island and the waters to who knows where.
Probably, toward the Shamar continent with more sand... Oh god, poor Sonic... I can imagine his face eating more sand and salt water by accident... I mean, Sonic has been beaten pretty harshly by past enemies before... But this new enemy... had pretty much dog-walked my boy Sonic... I wonder if my camera on the plane took a video of that scene, too?
I sure hope the camera caught everything, as I'm not going to let that moment down. That video will go into a hall of memories for me.
But never mind that, as I yelled at Rouge for answers, "WHO THE HELL IS SONIC FIGHTING!!!!" I yelled out, more confused than anything else, and Rouge looked with a gloomy face and answered something that made me feel whiplashed, while Amy... Who, I swear to whatever god was out there, was tweaking like nobody's business, to the point that that harpies could weep.
"Sonic's child, Shadow's child, and Silver's child mixed together in a lab..." I began to cringe when hearing that, and Amy... Oh, poor Amy, I didn't know Amy could make that kind of sound.
"WHAT IN THE ACTUAL EVER LIVING, FUUUUUUUCK!!! DO YOU MEAN BY THAT ROUGE?!?!?!" I mean, I've seen her mad, but not this livid, but Rouge answered more, but still sounded a bit hollow...
"It's an experiment with all of their DNA that had been kept in a lab... But, unlike the three of them, he kind of does take after Shadow, in killing... But he actually just does it because it can... I don't really understand this Hedgehog at all... I can still remember it fresh in my head as he drained a scientist of its energy, and the face it made, it was ... And that's all I really want to say about it... He's just different from the other copies..." Hearing her act like that made me pretty worried... I thought the government was done after creating Shadow?!? I can also hear Amy hyperventilating while speaking...
"GOD DAMMIT!!! I WAS THE ONE THAT'S SUPPOSED TO GET SONIC'S CHILD!!!"
Excuse me?? "Umm, Amy?? Can we go back a bit here? This isn't the time for your issues about Sonic having a child already... We still need to remove the fake chaos energy in the sea and then bring that multiversal transporter to get rid of this new Hedgehog... As more of them seemed to be coming here lately... SIGH, I hate multiverses..."
I expressed my distress to Amy, which calmed her down a bit, "Oh... My bad, Tails, but it's still shocking to hear about, though... My Sonic has a child..."
Her head then slumped down... Yeah, I got to focus on the chaos energy here.... But before I do that.
"Hey, Rouge, could you try waking up Shadow? I think Sonic's going to need plenty of help." Rouge, who was next to Shadow on the wing of the plane, looked at Shadow with a side eye and said to me.
"Sure, why not? I'm still a little pissed off with the show he tried to put on earlier. So... I'll wake him up." She then grabbed his head with both of her hands and began shaking his head back and forth while saying a magic word.
"WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!!"
Shadow was beginning to wake up as he said, "*Sigh... God, this headache hurts... Why did you do that, Rouge?"
Rouge humphed, "Well, I did it because I felt like it!" She said, making Shadow massage his head, trying to relax his splitting headache.
He then said, "Do you have the emeralds? We're going to need those against that bastard, Indra."
My mouth twitched hearing that name, "That Hedgehog is named after a God? SIGH... Why is there another one with a god complex?!?! And the Emeralds are with Sonic... Get going quickly. I don't know if Sonic is holding him off well or not... And also, I doubt that he'll try to use the emeralds yet anyway, so if you're there, and the both of you are being dog walked, then he might..." Shadow eyed me for a while and said.
"You have zero faith in me and Sonic, don't you?" his question, which sounded more like an answer, made me shrug.
"Hey... You're the one who said that not me... Just get going..." Shadow put his hand up.
"Hold on... Let me wait for a bit longer...."
We all looked at Shadow oddly when he said that. Shadow finally stood up and stretched his neck, and he started humming with a smile.
"So, when are you going to get moving? I can give you the coordinates..." Shadow shook his head.
"Don't need it, and I can already sense the Chaos emeralds that Sonic has with him... Just let me wait for a bit longer."
I am starting to realize something, and from Rouge's and Amy's I feel like I wasn't the only one thinking the same thing.
"Shadow... Are you really going to be this petty??" I asked, and Shadow, who still kept that smile, which made me feel uncomfortable to look at, said to me.
"Oh, Tails, Tails, Tails, Tails~ I'm not being petty. I am now beyond pissed off when I was being beaten left to right by an experimental reject that wasn't supposed to make it out of the lab... I am just collecting myself at this moment as all I'm feeling is this unyielding rage... And letting Sonic feel what I felt is honestly a plus, too..." He finished his explanation, and a red, fierce aura surrounded him as he floated from the wing of the plane.
He placed his hands on his wrists to remove the rings restricting his power, and his body turned completely red. He slowly floated away from the ship, and broke through the sound barrier and beyond as he was screaming in anger toward the direction where Sonic was.
We all watched on... But that moment didn't last long, as I said.
"You know what, guys? I'm going to get started with circumventing and placing the excess fake chaos energy into my invention right now, and Rouge, get inside one of the seats of the plane and hold on tight." When Rouge stationed herself to one of the extra seats, I flew the plane up into the sky, and when he was high enough, Tails pressed a button and flew back down into a swan dive.
The plane started to glow a green hue as the aircraft went down faster, and when Tails was just at the surface of the water, the plane started flying just on the surface of the water.
The plane manifested a huge green aura and spread across the ocean, radiating the fake chaos like a magnet. The fake chaos, which was a darker green, poured into the plane, a process that went on for around 10 minutes.

(General Pov)
When Tails was done, he yelled out in excitement, "I KNEW MY INVENTION WOULD WORK!!"
Both Amy and Rouge had motion sickness, and Amy said while trying not to puke. "Tails... Never... EVER... Do that... Again..."
Tails, who was snapped out of his excitement, said while scratching the back of his head, "Oh... Heh heh... My bad!! Now we're going to fly back to Green Hill to get that transporter."
Both Rouge and Amy were still glaring at him as Tails flew away all the way back to Green Hill.

~15 minutes~
It was a silent ride back for the three, but Tails and the rest saw something flying toward them in a navy blue light. When that light got closer, it landed on the wing of the plane and said.
"What's up, you three!! I just came back from a horror experience!! And now I'm running away from Blaze... I think she's pretty mad at me..." Tails and the rest were surprised.
With Tails saying, "Silver?!? Never mind that both Shadow and Sonic are fighting a hedgehog, and they might probably need your help; they are both on the Shamar continent." Silver gave a salute while cheerfully smiling.
"Alrighty, sir, I'll get started-!!" Silver was interrupted as he turned his head toward a deep red fire. The fire bolted its way toward Silver, running across the boiling water, making him sweat bullets.
But he was hoping that she wouldn't bulldoze the airplane, and his hope was right as the red flame jumped up to the wing of the plane. The red flames dispersed as she gracefully landed on the wing alongside the aircraft.
Blaze was in front of Silver, staring daggers at him, and she said, "I can't believe it... You flew away and left me behind into the hands of that... Hedgehog....." When she thought about it, she started to close her eyes tightly shut as she looked away and blushed.
Silver, seeing her change, said, "Uh, Blaze... Did something happen over there?"
Blaze screeched, "Shut up, Silver!!! I'm just confused!!!!!"
Silver, who was her best friend, was starting to ask her, "Did that Lord guy do something?"
Silver only saw her cheeks burning, quite literally, a deep pink flame, and then immediately became pale, as she said. "Oh... I forgot to ask for his name..... *Sigh* Well, whatever... You should just go over and help Shadow and Sonic while I stay with the rest on this plane... That energy over there is becoming worse..."
Silver gave her a warm smile, "I'm just going to cheer for you anyways or whatever... And I also have zero regrets leaving you behind."
Blaze also gave him a warm smile, "Ahhh~ that's so nice of you, Silver!! But watch out~."
Her hand glowed a deep red flame and blasted that sea of flame toward Silver at point-blank.
*FWOOOSH*
Silver teleported in the nick of time.
*ZIP*
Silver then called out from afar, "BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME BLAZE!!!"
Blaze then began to growl in frustration and just huffed and sat on the wing of the plane.
Amy then asked, "So... Blaze... Who's the crush?"
Blaze's eyes went up as she jolted like a surprised cat, "Wha- what do you mean by crush??? Enough of that nonsense!!!"
Amy was surprised by Blaze's reaction and had her own eyes widen like a shark that smelled blood.
"Ahhh, Come on, Blaze. Aren't we friends? What does he look like? Is he cool or something? What are his hobbies? Would you please tell me?!?!" she excitedly said, smiling at Blaze from the cockpit. Blaze, whose eyes were twitching, sighed.
"Well... He's probably more involved with what's happening around here... He looked cute... A sad sort of cute... But I felt his presence when fighting with Sonic and Shadow... It felt more like a twisted chaos from afar but from up close... I honestly can't describe it... But he's a purple Hedgehog, and from that aura when fighting against Sonic and Shadow, he should be extremely dangerous."
Blaze spoke with a logical approach, and Rouge, who heard that monstrosity being called cute, became pale as she spoke up.
"What... WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT THING IS CUTE!!!!!!!" She started seething from confusion and anger. Blaze couldn't care less as she shrugged her shoulders and told her.
"Well, I guess that only means we saw this troublesome Hedgehog from different perspectives... He had technically saved Cream, Vanilla, and Cheese from another one that looked exactly like Sonic, with blue fur and everything, except for those bloody red eyes... That servant of his saved them all while me and Silver were almost helpless to stop that demon's plan from coming to fruition... *Sigh* And also, I guess I didn't see him in a bad light from MY first encounter with him, Rouge..."
Rouge took a deep breath and said, "Oh... I apologize for my outburst then... Well, I saw this Hedgehog draining the life out of some scientist without a hint of any emotion... And when he was holding that corpse, I guess we were already spotted, as the freak had already called us out, and Shadow told me to fly away... I didn't want to leave, but I guess at that point, I became a liability and needed to find you guys..."
Blaze furrowed her eyes, "Hey, Rouge, what was the color of that scientist being drained?"
Rouge became confused by the question, "Huh? It was a gold-like color mixed in with yellow; why do you want to know??" Blaze covered her face and said.
"Rouge, he wasn't just absorbing the energy of those scientists but taking away their souls... That was another feeling I kind of felt from the energy from afar, which now makes me wonder what he's going to use those souls for... Also, now that I have a bit of a clearer head, the Hedgehog in front of me didn't have a spec of souls within him, unlike the one fighting both Sonic and Shadow... Now I kind of wish that I'd follow Silver to see for myself..."
Tails, who was listening in, almost crashed the plane after hearing about soul snatching but still had control: "Soul snatching?! That sounds horrifying. Welp, I guess that multiversal transporter is sounding better and better to me at this point... And what's this about a Sonic look-alike?!!"
Blaze squinted her eyes at Tails, "So, you plan to transport him somewhere else, and in that way, shrugging off a potential problem and giving that problem to someone else? That's... I should say irresponsible... But I'm guessing that's a final resort... But, here me out, have you thought about this Hedgehog... What's his name??"
Amy yelled out, "It was Indra!! And was it that emo type of sad??"
Blaze said, "Thanks, Amy... So where was I? What if Indra would pull something that would make the transporter useless... Or worse yet, hold something that would give us an ultimatum that would force us not to use the transporter... And for your question, Amy... It wasn't the emo type of cute... And for you, Tails, that Sonic look alike should be the last of our worries for now."
Tails stayed quiet while thinking and said to Blaze, "Fine, I will not worry about the Sonic look-alike for now. I'm also guessing that's where the soul-snatching comes along with the ultimatum. That does sound like a dilemma if you over think it... But that just sounds like speculation... Still, that really is something to take into careful consideration if he can snatch souls.."
Tails then floored the plane to get to Green Hill even faster. As they were closing in, a giant purple light covered the entire ocean and beyond, blinding them all for around 15 seconds till the light died down.
Tails looked at the system map from the plane to see what was going on and became pale.
"Umm... Blaze, remember that speculation you were talking about a while ago... Life signals from the entire planet turned mostly dark from every continent... And from the pattern of it, it looked like the signals that turned dark came from humanity..." Everyone else had a feeling of being slammed by a sledgehammer. And Blaze asked with worry.
"What about Green Hill?? Is that place alright?" She asked. Tails responded.
"Let me see... Yep!! It looks like Green Hill is safe!!" And that gave her a sigh of relief, but she still looked grim.

(3rd POV: Dr. Eggman)
Dr. Eggman was still monitoring a battle that Sonic and Shadow were fighting, and he called in Sage, his artificial AI. "Sage, how are the diagnostics of this new Hedgehog?"
A feminine voice spoke up, [[Calculations are obscure from the many diagnostics varied through my processing capacity... The only option I can give you is to hide in cyberspace... Every single diagnostic test had led to your demise, father...]]
Dr. Eggman looked at Sage, and took his glasses off and asked. "Compare the Hedgehog on the monitor to [The End] Sage... You're making it sound like this Hedgehog is just that similar..." Sage closed her eyes and disappeared for a couple of minutes before reappearing.
[[Father... You're right about this Hedgehog just being a vessel of another entity unknown to anything from this multiverse... At least with The End, it had a history in this universe, but... This thing scares me more... Every calculation I run through, the more I feel like I'm being peered at... Father, I'm sca@$#red]] Sage's voice was starting to break a little, which made Eggman worried as he put his glasses back on, and he softly spoke as he also felt something staring at himself.
"Oh, Sage... It's alright to be scared from time to time... And if you're afraid, then that should give me every reason to plan... And also... When I'm gone, Sage, then make Version X 3.0 completely operational..." Sage started to become nervous.
[[Wha- what do you mean by that father?!?!]] Dr. Eggman gave a jolly laugh.
"Ha ha ha ha ha!!! Oh, Sage, my dear..." He patted the hologram.
"I think a reaper has already set its eyes on me, Sage." When he said that the entire atmosphere had a feeling of time being stopped, only Eggman being able to move or think.
Then a deep voice echoed around the lab, "Well, well, well, how was trying to perform billions of those calculations in trying to face me, Dr. Eggman?" Eggman sighed.
"What do you want, you purple-haired rodent?!?"
The Hedgehog smiled, "Oh, what I want wasn't just you... My plan had steadily grown more and more complex for a simple goal... And yet... I don't see the point in telling you~ As soon as I count to five, Eggman. You'll f͓̊l͓̊o͓̊å͓t͓̊ like the rest of them~ 🎵🎶" When the Hedgehog said that in a mocking singing voice, with quiet laughter of children could be heard in the background of Eggman's lab, which made Dr. Eggman's skin crawl.
"My god... If you think I'm not going out without a fight, then you've got another thing coming." Dr. Eggman then again removed his glasses as his glowing red eyes stared into the Hedgehog's purple eyes.
The Hedgehog put a hand up and started counting right before saying, "1...2...3." Eggman put his hand up and blasted a laser into The Hedgehog's direction, blasting his head off.
*ZING*
Dr. Eggman looked at the supposed corpse still standing as it was counting its fingers down, and the Hedgehog spoke.
/||}{Have you ever wanted to see something divine, Dr. Eggman? I can't show it for too long, or the entire sphere of creation and further will become nonexistent. And I can't have that happening as that would cause a war to ensue... But I won't be the one causing all of creation to be destroyed, but that's for another time~ Now, witness my form, Eggman, and float along the rest...}{||\
The headless Hedgehog exploded alongside the once-known laboratory, transforming into a realm of fire and brimstone as this Hedgehog had become an avatar of horror and manifestation, with a smaller version of terror from the all-consuming eye.
Dr. Eggman couldn't speak. No, he was more busy looking at what was in front of him, as he finally said, "What... Are you?"
He finally mustered up his words, and this thing in front of him spoke, reverberating throughout the domain, |{}{I am just a final, binding cause for of all that exists... Now join the rest of the souls and sleep.}{}|
A purple light brightened everything, and that fiery hell of a realm disappeared.
Now, back in the laboratory, time had resumed, and a headless hedgehog had already held a lifeless Doctor by the neck and dropped the doctor.
Sage screamed, heartbroken as the hologram teleported near Dr. Eggman, [[FATHER!!!!!]]
The headless hedgehog grew his head and lightly chuckled. "Hm hm hm!! Don't worry, little Ai~ there's still a way to bring him back~ But sadly, you cannot~" Sage, who was checking on Dr. Eggman, then looked at the Hedgehog with wide eyes in surprise.
[[Then... Who can?]] The Hedgehog put his finger up to his mouth in a hushing gesture.
"Nah uh uh~ Little one~ My time here is slowly coming to a close~ And make sure you listen to your Pa~ Goodbye for now~." Sage the Ai was now alone as the Hedgehog turned into a purple light and flashed away.
Sage was slowly becoming frustrated and angry as she looked at the now lifeless body of her father but took a deep breath as she sighed.
[[System Version X 3.0: Status ONLINE... OPERATIONAL CODE: XMN45689.... NICKNAME: METAL SONIC.... LIMITER: Released.... LOCATION OF ANOMALY: EXOSPHERE, ABOVE SHAMAR CONTINENT//// Metal Sonic, Is Now Fully Operational and will set its target according to location.]]
Within a pod was a metallic version of Sonic that opened its eyes and released its power, destroying the pod.
And flew toward its acquired target, breaking through the layers of the walls of this base.
Sage, who watched it all happen on the camera, sighed once more, [[*Sigh* I guess I'll have to repair that again...]]
Sage didn't notice it, but from that first encounter with the hedgehog, her hologram of a body was still shaking from a fear that she couldn't recognize...
