"Give me a world directly!" Muria couldn't help but let his mind wander, imagining the possibilities, after just hearing this news from Cassio. He was filled with anticipation for the world he would receive.
Although he had already ruled over eight worlds in the Void, including a mid-sized one, how could these mundane worlds compare to one controlled by the Titans? As Cassio mentioned, this world was meant for mid-level Legendary Titans to cultivate their future Void-conquering armies. It was definitely different from the colonial worlds under his command, which only served to provide resources. Muria felt his reasoning was solid.
"Master, I must remind you not to have overly optimistic expectations for the world you're about to receive," Cassio cautioned, noticing that Muria's consciousness had formed a grinning face within the virtual world built by the database.
"What's wrong? Will there be a problem with the world I select after my promotion?" Muria asked.
"Your Highness, do you think the Titans have enough manpower to manage all the worlds under their name?" Cassio replied.
Muria's smile faltered. According to the data he initially received, there seemed to be only about a hundred Titans, even if he included those who had advanced to Epic status and were in deep sleep or roaming the Void. The total would not exceed three hundred. Considering this, it was impossible that the world he would receive had a Titan stationed within it.
"So, you're telling me that the world I'm about to receive will only nominally belong to the Titan race?"
"It's more than just nominal. All worlds belonging to the Titans have been thoroughly marked with their unique insignia. As long as an Epic Titan exists, no other race would dare to encroach on a Titan's world. However, if you want to truly control that world, I suggest you prepare an army, because regardless of which world you choose, it will contain many powerful creatures due to our Titan influence."
"So, after all that, you're saying I can't just take over the world assigned to me by the clan—I'll have to conquer it with force, right?"
"You've understood perfectly."
…
As the saying goes, after three days apart, you should treat someone with a fresh perspective.
Recently, Caesar's classmates noticed that this slightly gifted black dragon had become increasingly secretive. He often disappeared after the seventh class, and even stopped visiting the gravity chamber, which he once frequented. No one knew where he was going.
However, some informed dragons claimed that Caesar had gone to the upper cloud islands to participate in some alchemist's experiments. This rumor was met with skepticism by many dragons, but soon those who doubted it were proven wrong.
"Brother, a dragon bullied me."
Caesar, who was meditating, opened his eyes to see his sister Serah looking at him with teary eyes. He noticed a few faint claw marks on her body—clear evidence that she had been scratched by another dragon.
"Who did this? Where are they? Take me to them," Caesar said without hesitation, standing up and letting his sister lead him to the dragon that had bullied her. This was a perfect excuse for him.
Now that he had received the benefits of joining the Light of Truth society, he needed to follow the leader's orders and showcase their society's strength to attract more dragons. This incident provided the perfect opportunity.
"You were the one who bullied my sister?" Caesar found the offending young black dragon not far from where he had been, just about fifty meters away. The dragon looked at him with a provocative expression.
"Yeah, so what? Your sister didn't know her place and came to an area she shouldn't have," the young black dragon responded arrogantly, backed by eight other dragons who stood up behind him.
Over the past ten months, these nine young dragons had formed a temporary alliance, coming together by chance.
"What do you mean, an area she shouldn't be in?" Caesar narrowed his eyes at the group. No one noticed the faint red light glimmering between his teeth.
"With her strength, she should stay at the back. What right does she have to come ahead of us? Dragons should stay in positions suited to their strength. Being in a spot she doesn't deserve will only bring disaster, just like our teachers said."
In the Meditation Tower Forest, the closer a dragon was to the central area, the higher the concentration of elements, and thus, the better the meditation effects. Typically, these meditation spots were allocated based on the dragon's age.
However, due to Caesar's influence, Serah had chosen a spot far ahead of most young dragons in her age group. This had caused dissatisfaction among many dragons, but no one dared to voice their complaints due to Caesar's strength. Now, with this alliance, the nine dragons planned to make Caesar their first target, using him to solidify their unity and establish their reputation.
"A spot she doesn't deserve? As long as I'm here, she deserves that spot," Caesar declared confidently. With his body newly modified, the young black dragon was full of self-assurance, standing firm even against nine opponents.
"Caesar, don't get too cocky. Last time, you managed to beat five young dragons by yourself, and that was impressive. But think about the price you paid. Do you really think you can win against the nine of us this time?"
"Of course I can." Caesar looked at the dragons and opened his mouth. Immediately, the red dragon breath he had been storing surged out, covering the face of the black dragon who had challenged him.
"Flame breath!" The sudden eruption of red breath from a black dragon startled the young dragons meditating nearby. They opened their eyes and stared at Caesar in amazement, while the other eight dragons, though surprised, quickly pounced on him.
"I didn't expect you to be a hybrid. I heard your mother was a black dragon, so your father must have been a red dragon. But how could a mixed-blood like you compare to a pure-blooded red dragon like me?" A young red dragon, the leader of the small alliance, charged at Caesar.
"Idiot!" As the red dragon lunged at him, Caesar remained unfazed. He opened his mouth, and a blue-white lightning beam shot out, striking the young red dragon's head directly.
The lightning hit the red dragon, knocking it to the ground. Electric arcs danced across its body, and the struck area turned black as the dragon's limbs twitched uncontrollably.
"What…?" The sight of Caesar using two types of breath that a black dragon shouldn't possess stunned the surrounding dragons, but Caesar didn't stop his assault.
Ice breath, acid breath… Five different types of breath attacks manifested before the eyes of the young dragons, disrupting their meditation.
This battle was a one-sided massacre. With five types of breath at his disposal, Caesar had overwhelming combat power. By targeting each dragon's weakness, Caesar quickly incapacitated them, leaving them writhing on the ground.
However, Caesar's triumphant battle was abruptly cut short. The commotion had been too conspicuous in the quiet Meditation Tower Forest, attracting the attention of a patrolling adult dragon.
"What are you all doing?" A brass dragon with a sixty-meter wingspan flew over and landed on one of the elemental towers, glaring down at the group of young dragons causing trouble.
"Gathering to fight—this is a serious violation of school rules. All of you, come with me. You'll be held in detention until the professors can question you."
The battle ended with all ten dragons, including Caesar, being captured and placed in detention. They were given thought reform, publicly criticized, and required to write reflections, which they had to read aloud in front of the entire school before receiving elemental punishment.
This punishment, however, did not diminish Caesar's reputation. Instead, it made him even more famous. Many dragons witnessed Caesar's ability to breathe five different types of dragon breath during the battle.
Most were convinced that Caesar hadn't possessed this ability before, meaning he had acquired it through some process. This intrigued the dragons, who naturally revered power, and they became envious and curious about how Caesar had gained such abilities.
When other dragons asked Caesar how they could gain the same abilities, he refused to answer, maintaining a mysterious demeanor that only fueled their curiosity.
Soon, one dragon who thought she was close to Caesar approached him—his own sister, Serah.
"Brother, how did you get your powers?" The little black dragon persistently followed Caesar, clearly envious of his ability to use five types of breath. As his sister, she was certain he hadn't had this ability before.
"Do you want to have power like mine?"
"Mm-hmm," Serah nodded enthusiastically. The idea of having the power to use five different types of breath was too tempting for her to resist.
"Alright, come with me!"
After much pleading from his sister, Caesar finally relented and brought her to Elio, allowing her to join the Light of Truth society.
However, Caesar didn't let her join easily. He devised a complicated initiation ritual that thoroughly exhausted his sister before finally letting her in.
