Galaxies collapsed, the universe shrinks and expands. The stars shine ever so brightly,creating brilliant slashes of colors in the blank canvas that is the space, while some dimmed then died after a magnificent outburst.
In one of the collapsing galaxy, in a system consisting of a blue sun standing in the center of many panets, a grey planet orbited slowly.
The grey planet was like a splash of blotted ink, lifeless and colorless, devoid of the beauty of its past, unlike what it once was, a magnificent blue planet that was abundant with life source, water.
It's surface was cracked and pitted, with no sign of activity, only deafening silence, and of course, the occasional burst of unstable elements that intruded upon the unprotected surface of the planet. By just it's appearance, no one would have thought of the possibility of it harboring lives, or if some did ,they would assume that eons would already have passed since the last lifeforms perished.
On the contrary though, only centuries have passed since all the creatures of this planet died, not eons.
Or so thought.
Traveling past mountain ridges and valleys, a very, very deep pit appeared. It was so deep that it was frightening, like the big gaping hole is a huge mouth wide open, swallowing everything that happens to fall into it, gloomy,deep and murky. As you go deeper, nothing can be seen, only endless silence and darkness.
Suddenly, a blinding light cut through all of these, and adjusting the eyesight, the light became gentle,emitting a gentle silvery blue glow.
It's water!
Such wondrous sight in such a barren,forsaken place.
The water extend in all direction, forming a small pool of lake about a 100 square meter, small in comparison to deep oceans. Apart from this lake, there is nothing else.
Oh, there is.
In the bottom of the pool, swirling water seemed as it was being stirred by a tail. That's right, a tail. The tail looks cute and chubby, with a silvery blue color, with velvety fins like those of a fish, but very beautiful, glowing mysteriously. The tail extends up, with gorgeous scales sparkling like rainbows as it reflected light from the blue waters, covering a chubby belly and chest,extending to a very white baby's arms.
A mermaid.
Just by looking at the creature lazily flipping it's tail. It can only be a mermaid. A mermaid cub by the way. It has flowing silvery hair. It's chubby cheek flushed a beautiful pink as it snored softly I sleep, it's eyelashes fluttering softly as her small fists clench up and down,like trying to grab something,its pink, small lips smacking in dissatisfaction.
The mermaid cub is so beautiful and cute that you will want to squeeze it tight and kiss it hard to show affection. It's appearance already bearing a soul destroying beauty it will be when it's fully grown up.
The mermaid baby suddenly woke up, opening it's eyes filled with cute anger, her cheeks puffing up as she snorted.Then It's beautiful silver blue eyes flickered in confusion,as the anger in its eyes vanished instantly . It tilted its head as it tried to think hard. If you look and analyzes it's action, you will know that it had forgotten what made it angry in the first place.
It sigh like an old man, flipped to lie down on the hard rock face down, then closes it's eyes in boredom. The surroundings seems to dim, as if it feels the mermaid cubs emotions.
"Sigh."
Out in the space, the huge blue sun suddenly seems to contract. A sigh sounded,seemingly helpless, and at the same time filled with compassion and love. This sigh seems to only come from one entity, but it also seems that countless entities also sighed together.
With the sigh, the mermaid cub hidden in the grotto seems to have heard it, opening it's eyes in bewilderment and joy as it looked around,then dissapointedly pouted it's lips when it saw no one.
Suddenly, the eyes that are filled with dissapontment widen in horror as it feels something. Something that terrifies it. It struggled, moving and twisting it's body hard, which stays in place no matter how hard she struggled. Before it can cry out, the mermaid suddenly vanishes. Yes ,the mermaid cub vanished. And along with its disappearance, the lake quickly dried out rapidly that it took no less than ten seconds.
Silence,absolute silence. This time, there really are no living creature in the dead planet.
