LILY FOLLOWED the young Summoner through the Academy entrance but stopped before they could go any farther.
The young woman continued for several steps before noticing Lily was no longer beside her. She quickly turned around. "Is something wrong?"
"I'm waiting for my brothers."
"Oh." The young woman looked back toward the entrance before realization dawned. "Then let's go to the Martial assessment field. If they've already finished having their cultivation levels measured, they should be heading there next. We can watch from there."
Lily nodded.
As they walked, the young woman seemed to suddenly remember something and held out her hand. "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Annika."
"Pei Tianli."
Annika blinked. "Not Lily?"
"Lily is my nickname," Lily replied calmly.
Annika was confused. Lily was the name written on the new Summoner's registration, and it was also the name the Deans had given her.
But oh well.
"Then can I call you Lily?"
"Sure."
