Sinai finally finished replying to messages and, as if recalling something, looked up: "What did you say about Christmas the other day?"
Despite having resolved to cut off her feelings for him, sometimes she still held onto hope.
This week, all her three meals a day were cooked by him.
"On Christmas Eve, go out and walk around with peers." Norton spoke, "I won't be home, take care of yourself."
Sinai nodded: "I understand, I already have plans."
Norton sensed the distance in her attitude,
"Are you mad?" Norton lifted his eyes, "If you don't mind, I, this old shameless, can keep you company on Christmas."
"Mind, I mind a lot." Sinai blew on her tea, indifferent, "Old shameless shouldn't bother us young people, what if I become shameless like you?"
"..."
Sinai drank her tea while heading upstairs.
Somewhat self-deprecating.
What exactly was she thinking, what was she hoping for?
Truly foolish.

The next day.
Sinai went out as promised.
