Chapter 47 - 23:

.

Year 42, Akihara Village.

.

Ryoichi looked at the bustling streets of Akihara village below. The seven years of peace have been kind to the village. Its population have grown many times than its original and development has even caught up to the lesser developed of great villages.

From his office, Ryoichi can almost see all of the village, his sharp eyes can even discern each activity below his pagoda tower. He can see wagons upon wagons entering the village alongside their owners and interacting with shop owners and people of Akihara village.

The open ground of the Academy where the students train Taijutsu to the training grounds of active Shinobis can all be seen from his position.

"Speaking of Academy…" Ryoichi muttered as he approached his study table. Ryoichi sat on the chair and looked at the report regarding the Academy.

Ryoichi has adopted the same teaching system as that of Konoha and improved upon it due to its fantastical design of slowly brainwashing the children and slowly making them loyal.

The teaching system and curriculum were carefully crafted by Tobirama who had planted systematic brainwashing processes in them. It was a subtle process slowly turning children into fanatics of their village and Hokage to the point of taking on suicidal missions for them.

Ryoichi has seen the effectiveness of the system to the point that even geniuses the likes of Kakashi, Minato and Itachi couldn't escape it. Despite the horror they committed or the family and friends they lost protecting the village.

Ryoichi implemented the process but rather than making the children fanatics of the Akihara village, he made them fanatics of himself.

And the report before him shows the results of the three batches that came from the five-year program.

Ryoichi was quite satisfied with the results which was rare. And although there were a few problems with the Shinobi's going too far and even killing some clients due to them badmouthing him unknowingly. Ryoichi doesn't care because if asked they would gladly give their life to atone for sin they committed against their God.

*Knock* *Knock* the knocking at his door disturbs his thoughts.

"Enter" Ryoichi burned off the report and ordered Mirai to enter which she did followed by a dishevelled man.

Mirai guided the dishevelled man before Ryoichi's table.

"Master, your guest is hers." She said and moved to stand behind Ryoichi's chair.

"Senku Ishigami." Ryoichi acknowledged.

"Heavenly Demon." Senku Ishigami greeted with his title as Ryoichi was wearing his infamous mask.

Ryoichi observed the grey and weed-haired teen as he revised what he read about this nervous teen in the future timeline.

'Senku Ishigami was the man behind the sudden and rapid technological advancement during Boruto's era. He single-handedly raised the civilisation of Elemental nations from the medieval era to the industrialisation era in a single decade of peace after the Fourth Shinobi War. The man could have done far more and far earlier if he had been born into a noble family or Shinobi village. Unfortunately for Elemental nations, he was born into a poor family living in a small village and it took him almost four decades to establish himself. And even then he had to wait till the end of the Fourth Shinobi War to publish his theories and inventions on the stability and peace provided on the back of Naruto's and Sasuke's immense power and achievements. He couldn't do so now because he knew would be killed by people coveting his invention and people who wouldn't like such rapid advancement.' Ryoichi summarised Senku's information in his mind and as he did the latter shifted uneasily with his hands dangling by his sides wrangling with nerves.

'I think that guy Amado also has some hand in Senku's safety. He was pushing the development of technology if what I know about him is correct. He was monitoring Senku but the question is since when? I don't know much about Kara let alone a guy whome I only know through comments on some fanfiction.'

"You will address my master as "Your Grace or his Excellency", his title-"

"Mirai." Ryoichi interrupted her, just after she told the nervous teen how to address him.

"He is a foreigner to our ways. Some leeway can be made the first time." Ryoichi paused before turning towards the teen. "This time," Ryoichi stated with his emotionless gold eyes staring at the teen's nervous brown ones.

Ryoichi gestured for the teen to sit opposite him which the teen complied.

Ryoichi studied him again, comparing him to his discrimination in the books he read.

There was nothing remarkable about his stature. He was physically weak and seemed to possess little composure.

Unremarkable in all but one way and that was geometry like the book described him in his early years.

The years of hunger and poverty had made even someone as intelligent as him grow into a spineless and scared young man, buying his loyalty and firmly controlling the advancement of Elemental nations would not be hard.

Ryoichi stopped observing the teen as his hand went to the desk drawer, pulling out a bunch of scrolls before sliding them over to the teen. "Tell me what you see." He ordered.

Senku gulped before he shakily took the scrolls and looked them over.

Ryoichi sat back in his chair, his eyes intently studying the teen who was increasingly lost in thought as he read scroll after scroll all whilst muttering under his breath but Ryoichi didn't fail to see the glimmer of a spark in the teen's eyes.

A spark of understanding.

It was almost ten minutes later that Ryoichi decided to interrupt the teen who seemed to be on the precipice of being consumed by his thoughts.

"What do you think, Senku Ishigami?" Ryoichi finally asked, startling the man.

"Oh…" Senku exhaled breathily before clearing his throat, his eyes alight with fascination "It's incredible. I never thought what I see could be explained like that." Senku said amazed before shaking his head as he took one of the parchments in hand.

The parchments had solid or 2D geometries on them, geometries like Parellelepiped which was a hexahedron with three pairs of parallel faces, but each geometry had explanations and relationships that Ryoichi also defined as simply as he could.

"So you understand?" Ryoichi asked curiously causing Senku to look up and nod, a bright spark in his eyes before he looked down at the parchment that consisted of an asymmetric polyhedron that laid down flat. That one was more of an exercise surface area summation of each face before adding them up to see if he understood things could be calculated by breaking them up into different shapes.

I understand it." Senku's hand swept across the parchment. "All but one of the features have their sums right on the strange design. Although I do not know why anyone would create such a thing." Senku said but Ryoichi could see he was pleased with it. He recognised that look. The look of satisfaction of figuring something out something he forgot when he last fell.

'Probably before Ayame died…'

Ryoichi suppressed his thoughts and asked.

"One of the faces is wrong?"

Senku looked up, seemingly mulling something over. "Faces… yes, I suppose that does fit. And yes, Your excellency. One of the faces is not right but the total sums are." He said before going into detailing where he thinks the individual went wrong.

And it was completely right.

To work it all out in one's mind like Senku was capable of? And so fast?

Ryoichi doubted there were many others that could besides himself of course.

"What you see?" Ryoichi asked intently. And at Senku's nonplussed face, he continued "When you see objects or buildings or simply a sketch."

"Well…" Senku began carefully "I can see the space," he said before continuing "And I can see the lines and arches. Where they connect and how they connect and I can tell if it's balanced or not merely by seeing lines on a sketch."

Senku's face twisted unhappily "No one appreciates their beauty." He added bitterly causing Ryoichi to show his characteristic smile behind the mask.

"That was a test," Ryoichi stated to Senku as he waved to the scrolls.

"A test to see if you were the right man." The teen looked surprised at that.

"And you have passed, Senku Ishigami." Ryoichi finished after a pregnant pause.

Senku's eyes widened.

"If I may ask… what was I being examined for?"

Ryoichi smiled, his emotionless eyes gleaming behind his mask as he leaned in slightly. "How would you like to be paid to look at shapes and find out why and how they can be used?"

The spark in the man's face was enough of an answer.

"Master…" Mirai began as soon as they were left alone. Ryoichi raised his hand and looked at the acting lord of Akihara village knowingly.

"Why bother trying to recruit someone who is, for all intents and purposes, unneeded?" Ryoichi asked knowing that she probably had in her mind.

Mirai bowed her head causing Ryoichi to look at her. Normally he wouldn't tell anyone the reasons behind his decision but Mirai is a special case since she governs the village in his absence. So It is better if she knows and realises the motives behind his actions and develops a similar thought process as him.

"How do you know that a kunai is balanced?" Ryoichi asked her making her frown in confusion.

"I just know it."

"And that man knows how the world works without even knowing that he knows," Ryoichi said with a nod towards the door before eying the Kunoichi.

"And I do not mean the world of Shinobis. I mean the world of nature." Ryoichi stated, his mind adrift as he thought on it. He was busy with many important projects and has little time to work on lesser important projects. If he had the complete loyalty of someone like Senku many projects would be completed without his personal assistance which would save him quite a lot of time.
