Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Tournament(I)

[Its_Sayu: Thank you again, for last night.]

[Zeke:The pleasure is all mine.]

[Its_Sayu: Likewise.]

[Its_Sayu: I'll be going to school now, see you later.]

[Zeke:... alright, call me if you need anything, Alright?]

[Its_Sayu:Yes!]

___

Closing the conversation with Sayu with a smile, I gazed up towards three young men, two of which were arguing.

"I'm telling you, my Sprigatito is stronger than your mudkip! I've already beaten you once after all." 17 year old Italian, Robin Tanner exclaims as he gazes smugly at the adolescent in front of him.

"Psh! That was just a fluke! Mudkip and I have been training since then! And now we're confident that we can beat you!"Rebuked the younger Ethan Alexander, as he glared at the former teen.

Meanwhile the oldest of the bunch, Rahvin looked at the two and sighed in exasperation seeing his two younger friends arguing once more.

He felt a tap from his behind so he looked and saw his partner, scyther, looking at his with understanding, making him sigh once again as he looked at the former two and said.

"Alright! That's enough, the both of you. Why don't you two settle things in a match Instead?. I bet the shopkeeper is annoyed with all the noise you two are making."

Hearing me being mentioned, I looked at them who also looked at me and did a thumbs up.

"The two of you are welcome to use the back"

Robin and Ethan cheered before the two ran hurriedly towards the backdoor, with Rahvin following after them after thanking me.

This isn't the first time this happened as, when the three of them met Robin and Ethan seemed to just not click with each other.

They're not exactly enemies per se… more like, rivals? Like Red and Blue, although they aren't as skilled as the latter two.

And as for Rahvin, the oldest of the trio and also the strongest, he's basically acting as the two's big brother whenever they meet, always trying to stop their bickering to the point that he's gotten really tired, if those sighs didn't show it.

As for their Pokemon, Sprigatito, Mudkip, and Scyther all three are uncommon, with the strongest being Scyther naturally, considering that Scyther is one of the stronger Pokemon out there without evolving.

In fact, Scizor, it's evolution basically has the same stats as it, but different focus.

Even its other evolution, Kleavor, has almost the same stats as the other two with only an extra 10 points which doesn't really make that much of a difference.

Although, that's games, and this is reality so there are multitude of factors that can affect the strength of the Pokemon.

Oh right! Did I ever mention that Rahvin's Scyther is that of a Variant?

I was greatly surprised as well, when the egg hatched as he was different from the one that I normally knew of. It wasn't really major but its wings are different from a normal Scyther, as it was significantly longer than its normal counterpart.

It had become somewhat akin to a dragonfly, and when I used appraisal on it what I saw had greatly surprised me.

[Scyther] ∆

*Type:Bug/Flying

*Ability: Technician(1%), Swarm(Innate)(1%)

*Talent: Variant(Speed)(10%)

*Potential: Uncommon/Green

*Rank: Beginner-Baby

*Bond:Rahvin(Low)

Speed Variant:

Born to be a fast and deadly hunter.

- Ups speed in exchange for Defense.

-Change Ability to: Speed Boost

- More perks once the assimilation gets higher.

Just as the appraisal had said, Exchanging Defense for speed is the main theme of the variation, as the Scyther's carapace was thinner and lighter than the normal ones.

Adding to the fact that the variation had also given the Scyther the ability "Speed Boost" which boosts the Pokemon's speed gradually as the time goes on.

This Scyther has the potential to become a really scary pokemon in the future. A very fast and fatal sweeper.

"Shopkeeper? Hello?"

"Ah?"

I looked at the source of the voice to find the previous three looking at me with anticipation and nervousness.

"What's up? Are you three done?" I asked with confusion but they shook their head, before one of them, more specifically Ethan, the youngest of the bunch replied.

"We were just wondering if it's okay for us to record our battle this time and post it on the internet, Can we? Please?" Ethan asked verrry sincerely.

I had of course also thought about this beforehand. Advertising through videos as it had become really popular back in my previous world, but it was really early back then. I didn't even have a lot of customers aside from Andre, Chitoge, and both Alex and Jason.

In the end, I forgot about it somehow. But now that I have been reminded about it, I guess I should advance my plans of spreading the existence of them.

Afterall, I have gotten quite a bit of backers now.

The young queen of New England.

The Beehive Mafia group of Chitoge's family. My own family, and surprisingly, even the Cartel that Alex's family leads had agreed to a partnership.

That's not all of them of course, as I have met some rather influential people from different parts of the world.

Like the Yakuza which Ichijou Raku, Chitoge's future husband's Father is leading, and some other companies, big and small.

Hmm…Speaking of which In the next few days, I'm expecting a visit from both the Beehive gang and the Yakuza.

I guess I'm gonna see a great show.

We are getting sidetracked.

Anyways. I guess I'll commence Plan:Porygon.

I looked back at the 3 guys and nodded

"Alright, The shop will handle both capturing of the fights and also editing it.

In exchange, the Shop can post it first and foremost before you guys can post the video yourselves. Deal?"

"Yes!/Ok!/Alright!!" The three simultaneously answered before they excitedly walked back towards the backdoor.

I followed along, carrying my rotom-phone and once we were out in the makeshift battle arena I had made I opened the camera app and told the Rotom phone to Record.

The phone flew much to the three's surprise as the two youngest eye's shone as they looked at it.

"Ehem! Now! Let us begin the battle!" I voiced loudly, to get their attention.

"Since this will be the first official battle of the Shop that will be later posten on the internet, I'm expecting the three of you to do your best alright? I will also be the referee for today."

The three nodded at my words and I nodded back and said.

"Alright, who among you is going first?"

"I-"

"Oh?! You guys are doing something fun!" Suddenly, a voice interrupted our talks, making us turn our heads towards the source of it.

"I see the pipsqueaks are at it again? Right, riolu?"

"Riu!"

Another teen, along with his partner Riolu, got out of the shop, looking a little cocky as he looked at Robin and Ethan.

Hideki Roots.

A tall young man with tanned skin and purple hair, wearing his school uniform underneath his, yet another purple colored, Jacket.

But don't let his height fool you, as he's actually the same age as the youngest of the three friends.

Although, he's taller for some reason despite being japanese. He's pretty popular at his school, which is surprisingly the same school that Sayu goes to now that I think about it.

I guess I'm gonna have to talk to him after this.

"Hideki" Robin snarled, naturally being upset by being called a pipsqueak by someone younger than him.

If it wasn't clear by now, Hideki doesn't really have a great relationship with Robin due to his snarky and sarcastic personality.

Well, it only really goes as far as insults and no physical fights involve as despite being a bit mean, Hideki knows when to stop.

"How are you Hideki?" Rahvin waved with a smile which was met with Hideki's snort as he replied.

"I see you still hang out with these chumps Rahvin. Well other than that, It's been a while"

"Snarky as ever, anyways we were just about to have a Pokemon Battle and we're recording it with the shopkeeper's permission, do you wanna join?"

Hideki seemed to be taken aback at his words as he turned his head towards me.

"Really? He gave you permission?"

"That's right, I think it's time for the world to know about them so I agreed, and I would record it even."

"WOAH! I thought your stuck up ass would never agree for a few more years" Hideki sarcastically replied.

"Yeah Yeah, So, are you joining them?" I waved in dismissal, not bothering with his words as I know he really doesn't mean any harm.

"Would I? Of course!! This is what we've been waiting for! Right partner?" He exclaimed.

"Riu!" His partner, Riolu, agreed.

"Oh? It's great that you're growing well, little guy" I crouched in front of Riolu and scratched its neck, much to its enjoyment.

I stood back up and looked at the four and thought for a moment before smiling.

"Alright! Now that it has come to this, why don't we just make it a Livestream and host the Shop's first ever Pokemon Battle tournament?"

I decided to do the other plan, the more extreme version of Plan:Porygon; Plan: Porygon-Z which involves me contacting a certain company.

There was another plan in the middle of the two, but I decided to just do all or nothing.

We're getting sidetracked so, continuing-

"Of course, I'll give in rewards for the top three. I noticed that you guys have been looking at my Rotom-phone for a while now so, how about this, the top three will receive a Rotom-Phone as well as a Pokemon egg from me?

Let's see, first place will get a chance, but it's a secret for now.

Second place will be given a Rare Egg, but it's of my choosing.

The third place will be getting an Uncommon egg of my choosing.

Of course, the egg I will choose for the second and third place will not be better than the prize of the first place, so good luck!"

"Oh and! Since this will be a tournament, I'm gonna notify everyone that had registered to the Poke+ Forum"

My last words froze them as they nervously looked at me.

"What? I didn't say that you four will be the only participants, so good luck!" I smiled teasingly at them before I walked back inside the shop, followed by my Rotom-phone so I could notify everyone..

°°°

Over the next few minutes, some people around the world had received notifications on their devices, be it phone, computer, or their Pokedex.

Some were perplexed about it, but all of them, after seeing what it was about, smiled as their eyes shone.

-(POV change)-

In a rather huge office, a very energetic corgi- or rather Yamper ran around in circles being chased by normal Corgi's.

Observing the bunch was a smiling woman, wearing very high quality clothes.

This is the young Queen of England Adelaide Pendragon.

The youngest Queen and descendant of the very real legendary king, Arthur Pendragon.

With long blonde hair, tied in a single ponytail. Along with her gem-like heterochromic, sapphire and topaz-like eyes which complements her royal aura even more.

She wore a white long sleeve shirt and a navy blue medium length skirt, her legs were covered by a black skin tight, knee-high black leggings.

A blue ribbon was adorned in her chest, matching another ribbon which she used to tie her hair.

Her very presence screams "Regal" and "Majesty" normally in formal clothes, but in this outfit of hers, she just looked like a very Gorgeous and beautiful girl.

Despite being just 17 years old, she was really mature and had even established her reputation as a great leader of the country, as her wise and calm personality struck the heartstrings of her subjects.

That very same Queen was looking at the five Corgi's of her chasing after the newest addition to her family, a Yamper which she had gotten from none other than Zeke.

"It was a really great Idea to get him, as he really brought more energy and happiness in this life of mine." The queen mumbles with a depreciating smile.

*Bzzzzt*

[You have received a notification from: Poke+ Forum] A familiar sound of notification was heard in her private phone.

"Oh?" Adelaide gazed at the notification that her personal phone had received with confusion, as the message was from the Shop itself.

The queen was instantly intrigued as it never did this before, and the Shopkeeper never mentioned anything as well since the last time she had visited.

She tapped on the notification and it expanded into a message.

______

Ps: Sorry if it's really sudden! *Tehe~* -Shopkeeper.

____________

Adelaide's eyes twitched seeing this unexpected development without any prior notice by her supposed partner.

And it got worse seeing the last part as it made her want to scream and beat the Shopkeeper up for doing whatever he wants like making Pokemon public.

"Relax…Adelaide. You knew the risk and the uncertainties of partnering up with him." She muttered as he heaved to try and calm herself down.

"Huff…right, instead of wasting time like this…. SEBAS!" She called out, and an elderly man with gray hair and mustache, wearing a butler uniform entered her office and started to sweat, feeling Adelaide's not so happy mood.

"Yes, you're highness?" He asked nervously.

"Notify the Pokemon Corps leader to select the most talented and skilled trainers ASAP. The Shop is hosting a tournament, and I'm confident that that guy will give some really great prizes for the winners." She responded with a serious tone and the elderly butler nodded.

"Certainly, your highness" He responded before he pardoned himself out of the room. Leaving behind the queen who deflated back in her desk and muttered.

"He did say there will be some kind of tournaments and events. But he didn't say it would be this early. That smug guy really gets on my nerves."

She pictured the White haired man, the Shopkeeper who kept his constant smile throughout their negotiation and in the end, she couldn't even secure that much benefits from the shop that will most certainly become the epicenter of profits once these Pokemon arrives in the world.

°°°°

Similarly, It's not just the Queen who had gotten a massive headache from this impromptu event, as the various leaders of huge corporations and family that had gotten in contact and had also made some kind of agreement with Zeke also had varying reactions.

Most of which were of course, surprise and distress as they felt that it was too early, but some of them were eagerly anticipating the coming event and had already called out the people that they had nurtured to get ready.

And it's not just those big-wigs, as Individuals who had also brought the pokemon and had also joined the forums are clamoring about this unexpected event.

And although it seemed like the community was a lot, in fact the big corporations, and families that had ever visited the shop and made an agreement with the Shopkeeper can be counted with only two hands.

Meanwhile, the individuals who had brought Pokemon for the purpose of training them towards their peak were merely a fragment of the hundred or so customers of his.
