"REEEEALLY smart there, instigating someone that already has an alliance over us." Stolas would reprimand as they continue to cart their goods back to their base.
"Relax. He's not going to target us." Solomon would respond, to which the Avian was quick on grabbing his collar and pulling him close.
"RELAX!? We're under a bargain with Pandora's and have our butts saved by Team Sky after Adel's stunt. They're gonna ask for a price as well after that, wouldn't they? That's potentially 2 debts paid and one team ready to-"
"Stolas, dude. I can read him. He's not gonna come after us because of what we did to each other. Trust the process here, we just need to worry about one team and- Applin?"
Applin would be quick to check up on such material, as well as the magic behind the furniture itself, creating a small hammer to hit it in order to see how it functions. Upon such a strike, she would notice the Plati-amond would reverberate, taking in the energy that the table once lost and echo across the steel, slowly recovering back into the table and rejuvenate what was lost in the first place. The brothers immediately stopped in their tracks and stared at the mechanisms regarding their new goods, egging on the Vampiress to do it again. Once she does, they could see the steel do a small hum when transferring it back, a small song that silently played when storing and returning the energy. Solomon was quick to look through his book to see if there were such materials that existed, while Stolas would try to use his own magic to store such stars and see how it would interact with other styles of magic.
One star was shot in the center, watching it spread and empower the table further, almost too much. Cracks were heard and visible on the legs, implying it had a limit on the traversal, like a jeweled current that goes from one to the next. Many colors shone across the layer, each one sparkling like a newborn star after being spread thin. "I don't believe it... It's just like the Saint's Jewels!" Stolas shouted, as Solomon quickly called them over to see a section of the Codex Gigas to confirm his suspicions: Treasures of Tyre. A coffin's worth of riches and valuables that sparked the idea of having such saints be embezzled in them to act as blessings for those that prayed under it. Treasures that were housed by King Tyre after discovering the miracles provided by God himself. According to the stories told, Tyre organized his saints with a quest to keep himself alive until he was 100, so that he could see how his descendants are when they have their chance to rule his kingdom. They organized many rituals and blessings, yet they showed no progress. Knowing the end was near, Tyre issued an order for his four sons to be there in his deathbed, unaware that they wanted to take such rule for themselves. They slew him at that bed, with the weapons of choice being daggers that housed such gemstones. Despite this, he showed no wrath or despair upon them. He simply pulled them closer, daggers deep in his innards, and hugged them as his last gift before passing.
"From then on... Tyre's heart became Sapphire. His bones to Amber. His lungs to Amethyst. His teeth to Rubies. His eyes to Garnets. He was showered and buried with riches beyond mankind, and upon descent and rest, his very spirit boon the lands. Crops grew richer, children were stronger and healthy. Fatigue was a distant memory for the sick and weary... Energy flowed through that spot; a fountain of power for many years to come..." Solomon finished such passages as he looked up, realizing quick that whatever material they have, would use such energy to their advantage, working alongside one another to maximize as much output as possible. "This isn't a defense... it's a conductor. They're going up in space with batteries for 'bots!"
"Space also has lots of radiation coming out of it too! The Sun, the stars far ahead, heck probably even the energy we'd end up casting through if we want to use magic. This is BUSTED if used by the right hands!"
"And they gave it to us... Applin, did you-"
"No. Not at all!" The Vampiress admitted, her eyes wide open as she watched the shining gem of steel they held. "I thought it was a sleek thing to have for the wings, letting it bend properly so we can have better control. It looked malleable enough to shift direction, I didn't knew it was gonna be LITERAL riches! We're gonna have to pay up something big if they were willing to just... give it away! What made them even want to do that in the first place? Had we got ahold of this, we would've gatekept it from anyone else!"
"...I think that's why they gave it away to us." A pause for the group, looking over to see Solomon draw out the ships made, with theirs being close to Pandora's. "They're gonna use us as a weapon. That's probably what they're gonna do for our end of the bargain. They're gonna give us lots of energy and expects us to crash into someone and take out the competition."
"That would mean we get cut off too, wouldn't we?" Stolas' question was met with a sound nod. To think Team Pandora, a group that prides themselves in valuing one's company, would do such a maneuver that quarters the competition. The question now becomes who is the target? They'd ponder as to what groups they've seen so far that would warrant such a devastating blow. As they were lost in such thought, a noise was heard from afar, one familiar to the boys. A small cackle, a small creak in the wind-up, shifting shuffles from one to another. "We'll get back to this later." The Avian announced, as they'd be quick in following the sound. Applin, however, was still confused and lost by it all, watching the two boys be way more prepared than what she's capable of.
This was something that had history. She'd look at them as they ran and tilted her head, squinting her eyes, trying to focus her mind and answer how they were able to know this type of Style?
