Chapter 375 - Chapter 375: Dance with the Devil

The boys wasted no time working together to swarm and attack the Ringleader on all sides. Harvard would set up chains to dig through the dirt and bind his legs, whilst Solomon sets up Numbers of God and Might of Samson to make the circling lights and strike at them, both as premature set up for damage and to pin the Jester further. Stolas would create lights around the exorcism to catch and drag him back in if need be, and Zazel would lastly cast out Gaap, utilizing Absolutism, a form of Philosophy that makes things certain, no matter what. He'd plant such an attack on the Numbers of God, acting as a guarantee hit even if he escaped the barrier. With all four spells, the boys believed it was certain that he wouldn't have an answer to counterattack. That was when Jesta demonstrated his expertise, moving away from the chains, even at Harvard's fastest reaction time to ensure the others would hold him down during it. He'd grab ahold of the chains and tugged it, having the force of the earth dig itself up in the process, a wide enough hole for him to slip down and escape without doing a single bit of damage onto the Barrier itself. "How did-" was all Harvard would say before seeing the earth begin to bore itself. He was digging out and reaching for the surface.

Harvard would try and plan a step ahead of him, casting two spells to both cut the distance so he would be placed in the barrier instead, and creating two boxes. He waits for Jesta to come out of the earth to trap him in the box, allowing them to switch places. Zazel would carry this attack further by sealing the hole with Malthus, the ground bending and closing itself in an instant to ensure he wouldn't escape again. As they returned him back into his makeshift prison, the boys would notice that he'd taken back the masks he offered, wearing one of them by his side: The Mask of Many. The dirt erupted once more, two Jesta's being visible as they breached, one of them with the same mask, another with a different one, a mask akin to a war chief, quickly blasting a smoke bomb to conceal his appearance and choke them away from the area, preventing them from trying to pull him back into the exorcism. When the boys escaped, Jesta would switch masks once more, retaining its wide smile with the Comedy Mask, as his double would set up a different one, akin to a witch doctor's mask, complete with a bone against its teeth. "Okay...Masks. Got it. That one makes weapons, the one before makes multiple clones." Harvard would comment, to which Jesta would nod as a response.

"The Mask of War and the Mask of Many. I do wish to say thank you for giving me back my creations, by the way. Not many people tend to return the boxes they delivered. Sentimental value in knowing you enjoyed the present I offered." He'd be cordial in his words as he'd brand a knife on his hand, wielding it like a combat dagger as he'd allow his duplicate to cast the magic in its mask, biding its time until the boys tried to approach, with Stolas sending out the Serpens Constellation to close in and bite into his ankle, whilst Solomon dispelled his exorcism to retain his energy again and instead utilize the Plagues of Egypt, with Frogs and Boils being on top of the cluster of stars so they can invade and infect the Demon. Despite such an attempt, the Witch Doctor's Mask would make quick work, a ring made around the Demon, quickly dissipating the two beasts into mere energy upon contact, scattering it across the dead landscape, causing groans and moans to be made under the earth. Such energy was leaked out and acted as a new magic source to their detriment. "Aaaand that would be the Mask of Sealing! Any and all magic casted around my vicinity would be useless, absorbed into our lovely scenery instead. I have made enough preparations as it is, little ones. Don't tell me this is all you have going for!" He'd mock, as he'd allow the one within the barrier to take out a similar mask and try to de-spell the exorcism it remained trapped in.

"Do you just have an answer for everything!?" Solomon remarked as Harvard and Zazel would take their turn in trying to trap the Ringleader.

"Most of everything, actually! If you don't mind holding still for a moment..." The man would be quick to don a new mask, one similar to a sculpture from Incan Mythology. In a mere instant, the mask would begin to chatter its rigid teeth, before opening its mouth and letting out a massive, piercing screech. Such a sound was so sudden, Harvard wouldn't be able to intercept it by damaging his own hearing, forcing him to fall victim just as much as the others. The Exorcism was quickly removed, allowing the third copy to reach out and snag the two other masks that were left on the children's personnel, as well as the new mask he acquired from the Musician. Once he lowered the volume, he'd switch into a different mask, the Mask of Riches, allowing the area to become flooded in jewels and coins, quickly overwhelming the boys and pushing them away from the graveyard, shoving them in different objects so that it would trigger Rubix to teleport them elsewhere. "Now....with this...And a little bit more time, I do believe I can set up our ultimate climax. The perfect stage for the perfect adversary. They will, however, need to die..." His face became a bit somber as he spoke to himself, quickly reaching for a nearby tombstone. He'd look across the plains of the many graves left behind, his mind beginning to remember the incident once more. The mass amount of bodies, the screams and cries of the people, the monsters that loomed and destroyed the world. Had he not stop them, would they have continued their onslaught into other Hells? Would they have tore apart everything in their path?

Such questions enveloped his mind, his past self watching behind him in disgust, seeing the drastic change his body has made. "...Seems I still cling to my previous life even now. How peculiar... I missed those times." A tear came down from the mask's eye holes, as he'd touch the tombstone and be teleported elsewhere before the zombies unearthed themselves, his two clones following alongside. "...Would I really have such a heart... to kill the one lead that gave my life such meaning? Would I really...?" His mumbles would be heard even as he disappeared, now in somewhere else.
