As the group kept their pace, they'd finally be able to see a building off in the distance: A Candy and Toy Shop, segmented in half with two separate entrances. As they'd take such relief in knowing it wouldn't be far, the box once again would shift, now with Solomon's attention grabbed. He'd look down towards Shady, seeing the shadow trying to keep the box down, a smile on its face, its eyes mimicking a darting motion. "Hold on. Stop right now." He'd ask, causing the others to halt and follow Solomon's direction. He'd be quick in letting Shady take out the box, as the Biblical Sorcerer investigated its contents, grazing his hand across its sides and feeling a soft, yet sandy feeling across his fingers. Someone has tampered with the locks, a quick lick indicating that it was some sort of Sugar. He'd be quick in casting a Barrier around the area, letting Harvard and Tsukiya stay behind, the Monster finally dropping Koina and allowing her to keep at a distance, whilst Stolas and Envy went inside. Zazel, meanwhile, would set up a Sigil to create a boost across the Barrier, letting small crackles of lightning from Furfur spike around the area, ready to take aim when applicable.
Once the Siblings opened the box, there still lied the Gingerbread House, complete with the same guard. The two searched every nook and cranny, trying to understand what changed. Solomon fully knows that they were mostly alone the entire time, meaning that something must've been within the box to have tampered with it. Based on the Sugar, as well, lined across the very top and slowly sprinkled from said edge to a mere few inches, it felt like someone was trying to pick the newly made locks from the inside out. When Zazel peeked over, seeing the Barrier hold steady, he'd knock on it, using the lightning as a glove to protect himself against such holy magic. "Check the Gingerbread Man!" He'd shout. Solomon nodded as he'd gaze down at the guard, seeing if there was any hints. Stolas would do the same, although as the Biblical Sorcerer doesn't find any direct hints, Stolas would try to mimic what he did to the sugar, pressing his talon over the Man's head.
One quick lick was all it took to unveil the truth. "...Eww! It's jam, but it tastes really sweaty!"
BANG! BANG!!
Two shots, one for each of the boy's eyes, forcing them to stumble back as their eyelids grew shut with a confection. "GUM IN THE EYES! GUM IN THE EYES!!" Solomon shouted, as he'd try to use his remaining eye to see where the Guard went. To his, and the others' surprise, the house flipped itself over, the Cookie running across such a flooring, as it took aim for the barrier using one of the many canes available. The lightning immediately tried to blast the snack down with lightning, yet not only would it scream, a visible line of energy was made across the candy cane.
"CANDY MAGIC!!! GREEETEL!!!"
A beam of gum and sweet treats would blast out of the cane like it was a rifle, scattering the sweets all around, a mini-barrier to deflect and capture the lightning bolts, before redirecting it with double the force on Solomon's defenses, shattering it in one quick strike.
"CANDY MAGIC!!! HANSEEELL!!"
Another Final Gambit, as he'd stab into the Gingerbread house, letting it use the crackers and frosting to create legs and let it run like mad. The boys were outright amazed at how not only a single cookie found a solution, but hold two Final Gambits to attack them. As soon as they'd see it gained a bit of distance, Harvard and Zazel immediately gave chase, letting Lupina follow, as Tsukiya, Envy, and Koina focused their efforts on removing the gum so that the two can follow after them. Harvard and Zazel would launch themselves atop of Lupina, using the trees to bounce off and gain speed to catch up, yet they'd see the house mimicking that exact move, as well as turning whatever it was touching into a chocolate bar, having a weaker durability as a result, forcing the two children to run after on foot once they'd see Lupina's strength crack one of the trees and having it fall on top of the beast, a snarl as it was pinned down, trying to break the tree in half in order to catch up. "HOW FAST IS THIS THING???" Harvard questioned, as he'd try to cast a spell of chains to snare the beast.
Yet no matter how many chains he made or where he was casting it, the house was running away with just enough motion to evade it altogether.
Zazel was quick to come up with an idea, signaling Harvard to throw him with the very chains. Once the two made around a corner, the boy would cast two chains and pulled it back, letting the Demon get atop of it and be flung straight across like an arrow. Of course, the Gingerbread House naturally tried to cut a corner to evade the child, yet Zazel was quick on setting up two more sigils as he latched onto a tree and moved around it, carrying the momentum over and increasing his speed in the process. The first being of Sabnock, creating a Walther WA 2000, taking aim and sniping out a part of the bulky house, letting it use Eligos to wrap around the confection and pull it straight down, crashing it against the dirt, though surprisingly not breaking or carrying such debris. As Zazel got his bearings back, Harvard made a mad dash towards the house, swooping in to catch the Gingerbread Man make a last ditch effort once more, finally putting it in such restraint. "THE HOUSE LIIIIIIIIIVES!!!! THE HOUSE LIIIIIIIIIVES!!!" The boy cried, as everyone was able to catch up, with Stolas' and Solomon's eyes finally freed from the gum, at the expense of their eyelids removed. The two winced as Harvard passed the cookie towards Zazel, a potion being casted to help regain the eyelids before any debris would've infected it.
The Demon looked down to see the creature screaming, somehow sounding like a grown man. "UNHAND ME YOU DEVILISH WIZARDS!! I WILL NOT LET YOU EAT ME, YOU UNDERSTAND!!? I REFUSE TO ACT AS A DELICACY FOR-"
Zazel was quick on smacking his thumb upside the cookie's head, somehow having enough force to knock some sense in it. "Hey! Knock it off! Nobody's going to eat you... Well, nobody but Harvard, at least." he'd scold.
"THAT'S STILL SOMEONE THAT'S GOING TO EAT ME!!!"
