Chapter 12 - 12. Grangers (Updated)

Hey guys!

So some of you asked questions about Harem and Lemons.

First Harem- Yes, there will be Harem. I had decided about it from the start. I have not decided who will be in it. sorry to those who had other expectations. But his harem will not be just a casual thing. There will be very careful considerations.

Lemon.- Have not decided about it. What I can tell you for sure is, there will be no lemons before his 3-4 years. He is only a little kid right now.

"No, I am okay. Thank you. I was so into the books that I was not paying attention to my surroundings."

"Let me guess, this is your first year at Hogwarts?" I asked with a slight smile, watching her carefully as if measuring her reaction.

"How did you…? You too!!" she stammered, clearly surprised.

"Haha, yes. I am Harry. It seems we will be year mates," I said, keeping my voice warm but calculated.

"I'm Hermione Granger. I'm so excited, it's all so…" she hesitated, searching for words.

"-Magical? I can understand. It is new for me too," I said with a small smirk, letting my tone carry a quiet charm.

"Yeah right… My parents are dentists. We too were in disbelief about it all at first. We thought it was some sort of prank. Professor McGonagall's demonstration finally convinced us," she explained.

"Hermione!! There you are…" Her voice was interrupted, and I glanced toward the sound, sensing a shift. Her parents approached—Emma and Daniel Granger.

"Mom, meet Harry. He is also going to Hogwarts this year."

"Hello Harry. I'm Emma, and this is my husband Daniel. Nice to meet you," she said kindly.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Granger—"

"Don't be so formal, Harry. You can call us Dan and Emma," Daniel said with a friendly nod.

"Thank you, Emma. Hermione and I were just talking about Hogwarts," I said politely.

"It's good to know that our Hermione has a friend who will look after her. By the way, where are your parents?" Emma asked curiously.

"My parents… umm, actually I'm an orphan. I live with my aunt and uncle. I just came to buy some books," I explained calmly.

"I'm so sorry…" Emma replied softly, and I saw both Dan and Hermione exchange concerned glances. I gave them a reassuring smile.

"It's no problem, Emma—" I glanced at my watch and noticed it was time for my meeting with Skeeter. "It's getting late. I think I'll be going now."

"Where do you live? We can drop you there if you want," Dan offered.

"No. It's okay. I need to go to Gringotts first. I'll take the Knight Bus."

"Knight Bus?…" Emma sounded intrigued.

"Ah, you wouldn't know that… The Knight Bus is a triple-decker, purple bus that assists witches and wizards through public transportation," I explained lightly, enjoying the moment of sharing a rare curiosity.

"Wow, Harry, you have to show that to me," Hermione said excitedly, her eyes sparkling.

"Harry, how about dropping by our house tomorrow? You can tell us your address and we will pick you up," Emma said after a moment of thought.

"Oh, there's no need to trouble yourselves, Emma. Tell me your address and I will come visit tomorrow morning." I said smoothly, keeping my tone casual but precise.

"Are you sure, Harry? It will really be no problem for us," Dan pressed gently.

"No, Dan. Just don't worry. I'll come directly. It will be more convenient for me." I smiled faintly, masking the calculation behind my words.

"Okay, if you say so." After noting their address, I bid them farewell. "Nice meeting you all," I said, before signaling Alfred to take me back to Bogrod's office.

"Lord Potter, I was just waiting for you. Rita Skeeter is waiting inside the meeting room," Bogrod informed me, bowing slightly.

"Bogrod, will you be able to defend me from her if something happens?" I asked casually, as if checking an afterthought.

"Don't worry, Lord Potter. I can handle ten of her," he said with quiet confidence. We moved into the meeting room, Bogrod motioning the guards away.

"Is this little brat the VIP client I was asked to meet?" Rita Skeeter said rudely, as we entered. Bogrod gave her a sympathetic look, but I ignored it entirely. I had already decided how I would play this.

Without speaking, I threw a contract onto the table between us. Her frown deepened as she picked it up and scanned it, then tossed it aside angrily.

"Who do you think you are…? Be prepared for tomorrow's newspaper, I'll ruin you," she shouted, her voice sharp.

"Keep your volume down, woman, or I might test how much your Animagus form resists drowning," I said coldly. Her face paled instantly, and I knew I had her attention.

"I'm giving you two choices: 1. Sign the contract and be my slave, 2. Get sent to Azkaban, where I will make sure you experience how it feels to kiss a Dementor. Decide fast; I don't have time to waste on you." My words carried calm authority, calculated to intimidate.

Hearing this, she moved for her wand—an instinctive error. Bogrod was faster, pressing his sword to her neck. I studied her expression coldly, letting silence stretch between us.

Finally, understanding her position, she signed the contract.

"Harry Potter!!!!" she exclaimed when I removed my glamour.

"That is right, but you will call me 'sir'. Remember: no false news about me or my friends. You will report to me if there's anything concerning me." I waved her off.

"Bogrod, my elf Alfred will come tomorrow to collect everything I demanded. No owl correspondence. An elf will come daily at ten in the morning; we will correspond through him." I gave my instructions firmly before exiting Gringotts.

It had been exhausting, but this was only the beginning. My work was far from done.

As I walked away from Gringotts, my mind was already three steps ahead. This meeting with Skeeter was not merely a formality; it was another chess move. Every word I spoke, every action I took today, was calculated. The goblins had underestimated me before — that would not happen again. Bogrod's groveling, Rognuk's desperation, Skeeter's rage — they were all pieces on my board. I needed them to believe I was unpredictable, dangerous, and yet in complete control. The illusion of chaos often made my influence stronger.

Rita Skeeter… her arrogance was perfect for my purposes. She thrives on scandal, on gossip — and that hunger would be her undoing. She thought signing that contract was the end of it, but it was only a step deeper into my control. Every contact I have, every person I manipulate, expands my reach. And her access to information about me was a dangerous weapon. That is why her silence and obedience were worth far more than gold.

I let Bogrod handle her with his usual goblin efficiency. I could see his thoughts — caution mixed with fear. Good. Fear is a tool I intend to sharpen and keep. It keeps people compliant, pliable. And Rognuk… the moment he feared I could move through Gringotts without detection, I knew I held something far greater than contracts: leverage. That knowledge alone would guarantee loyalty.

Walking out of the bank, I felt the satisfaction of victory, but I knew better than to relax. Every agreement, every condition I forced upon them, would bind them tighter to me. I am not merely securing my position today; I am securing the foundation of my future. Hogwarts, the goblins, the magical world — they are all variables in a grand equation I am still solving.

And Hermione — that encounter was a bonus. She is naive but curious, and curiosity can be shaped. I will remember her, and when the time is right, I will turn her interest into an asset. But not yet. For now, I must prepare for Skeeter, for Gringotts, and for everything that comes next. Because the world I have stepped into is vast, dangerous, and full of potential. And I intend to master it completely.
