Getting a good night's sleep Arman woke up in a good mood the next day.
"Morning, did you get a good sleep" asked Light.
"You bet I did" saying so he got out if bed and freshened up.
Then he went towards the kitchen brewed himself a cup of coffee and a toast as food.
Taking them he went to the balcony to relax and get a breather.
"You have to say the view of this place is not bad, though it could use a little sunshine" he lamented while gazing at the bustling underground city.
"You're not wrong but this place has it's own beauty" commented Light.
"Well seeing as there are no message's from Helmond yet, we could use this time to tour around this place and also try to upgrade our supplies" said Arman.
"Sure" replied Light.
Soon after he finished his toast and coffee and wearing his newly bought clothes went to look around the city.
First he went to see the lake surrounding the city. Arriving near the lake he saw many people there some enjoying at the shore, some playing in the clear water, some could be seen fishing and lastly some soldiers were there maintaining safety near the place.
The lake was really beautiful with crystal clear water which is almost impossible to see nowadays with many different kinds of fishes swimming around. Due to the reflection of light sources the water appeared to be shinning which gave it a mesmerizing look which just by looking at you can feel a sense of calm and peace.
As the water was crystal clear the bottom of the lake was visible to the naked eye and seeing the different flora at the bottom of the lake made the lake have a certain kind of elegance to it.
The fishes swimming around in harmony, the floral elegance at the bottom, the shining water and lastly the balance between all of them was a sight of wonders capable of entrancing anyone for a moment.
Just while Arman was admiring the beauty of the lake in a trance Light seemed to notice something about the lake and said "Hey, don't you find anything strange about this lake"
Hearing Light say that Arman came back from his momentary trance and started looking at the lake with more focus and soon enough due to his heightened senses brough about by his stats he noticed something.
"You're right something is strange about this lake. The bottom of this lake i s clearly artificially created instead of forming naturally and there also seems to be something hidden beneath the bottom of the lake" said Arman.
"What could be hidden beneath the lake. Just seeing the long lake whatever it is it's definitely big. Do you think it could be a big mecha" pondered Light.
"I doubt this plane is advanced enough to create something like that otherwise human's would have probably won already" said Arman.
"Anyways we should get going to other places as well can't waste the whole time just staring at the lake and trying to figure out what lie beneath we'll worry about that later" saying so Arman left the lake after taking one more look at it.
Soon they reached the farmlands where you could see various kinds of crops planted where some had grown while some were still growing with farmers meticulously taking care of them.
The farmlands took the major part of the hidden city. Well considering the importance of food it made sense. Most people who joined the city were not that talented so the majority of them had become farmers trying to help defend this place in their own way.
Arman went on to speak with the farmers about their lives and surprisingly most of them were really happy with their life although the longing to once again live under the sun could be see among them but altogether they were somewhat content with being able to contribute as farmers.
Seeing them standing together doing things to help in any way they can brought a smile to Arman's face and after talking to them for some more time he went on ahead with his tour.
"Isn't it surprising that both the best and the worst sides of people can be seen in the face of crisis" mused Arman.
"Most people generally put on a facade in normal everyday life only when something really good or bad happens does the facade crack and people's true nature are revealed until then we would never really know who is who correctly. Like the idea that says good and evil are two sides of the same coin" said Light.
"True, you really can't tell the reality of the person completely" said Arman with clenched fists remembering his girlfriends betrayal instantly turning his mood sour.
"Anyways let's keep going" said Arman while trying to divert his mind from those unpleasant thoughts.
Light seeing Arman's plight didn't say anything and just let him continue forward.
Soon after they passed by the housing area where people were seen living a normal life or what was left of it. This place was filled with houses of various kinds. Some houses were big while some were small.
Some were of western style while some were of eastern style. Some were older looking while some were modern looking.
All these different styles seem to bring a kind of harmony among everyone depicting that everyone was welcome here and no matter how different you are you will still be accepted here with no one judging you based on your origin or preferences.
Seeing these things Arman thought that whoever built this place did a great job at it feeling impressed by whoever he/she or they are.
"No wonder people are doing all they can to support this place. With this kind of treatment who won't be willing to dedicate themselves to make it more peaceful and prosperous" said Light.
Arman nodded to show that he agreed with Light and while taking on the beauty of different styles mixed together continued his pace forward.
