"Sometimes I feel like Kobi doesn't like me at all. If he liked me, he wouldn't treat me hot and cold. Jordon, what do you think?"
Brynn's voice jolted Jordon out of her distant thoughts.
"You're overthinking it. How could Mr. Taylor not like you?" Jordon tried her best to comfort Brynn, hoping she wouldn't get carried away with wild thoughts.
Nobody was a fool, and Brynn wasn't too absurdly naive to see through the problem.
Brynn continued to blame herself: "Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part that I like him? With a body like mine, I'm probably short-lived. If he doesn't like me, then that's a good thing. That way, when I'm gone in the future, he won't be heartbroken..."
"Look at you, talking nonsense. Men don't like to hear you talking like this, don't say it again in the future." Jordon interrupted Brynn's endless nagging.
