Benjamin Abbot and Brynn Williams were both in the living room waiting for Kobi Taylor. When he came in, the two women stood up simultaneously and exclaimed, "Kobi Taylor is back?"
Kobi ignored Benjamin's earnest gaze, pretending not to see her, and went straight to Brynn.
Brynn then threw herself into his arms: "If you hadn't come back soon, I would have had to come and fetch you!"
Kobi smiled: "Here I am, am I not?"
"I made a special pot of soup just for you. You have to drink more to appreciate my love," Brynn said, burrowing out of Kobi's embrace and going to the kitchen to bring out the soup she had cooked.
Kobi had just eaten not long ago, but with Brynn so excited, he couldn't refuse and had to drink the soup reluctantly.
To be honest, the taste of the soup was average.
As soon as he finished one bowl, Brynn enthusiastically refilled it for him, and he continued to drink it with a heavy heart.
