On the surface, it seemed like it was just a date between Snow Collins and Bella Scott. But only Snow knew that Edward Anderson had successfully intervened in their relationship, making it a not-so-obvious three-person date.
Snow thought Edward's actions were despicable, but he had to admit that Edward's methods were effective.
In the end, Snow and Bella ate their meal in a hurry and left the restaurant hand in hand.
What Bella later realized was that all her attention was on Edward, to the extent that she didn't hear a single word that Snow said.
Such a plot was obviously wrong; how could she let Edward occupy all her thoughts?
She didn't know if Snow noticed her inattention. If he did, he must have been frustrated, and she was being disrespectful to him.
