The call was from Aunt Ding, the nanny.
Aunt Ding is the nanny Wen Suihan recently hired specifically to care for Nian Nian.
So late at night, Aunt Ding suddenly calling likely meant something was wrong with Nian Nian.
Thus, Wen Suihan answered the call without any hesitation.
As soon as the call was connected, Aunt Ding's voice came through.
Aunt Ding said, "Sir, are you busy right now?
"What's the matter?" Wen Suihan asked.
"Oh, it's like this, Nian Nian had a fever before bed tonight. I gave him some antipyretic medicine and he slept for a while, but then he woke up and vomited. I think it's best to take him to the hospital for a check-up. Can you come home as soon as possible if you're not busy?"
Upon hearing this, Wen Suihan frowned.
"I'll be right back."
Having said that, he left the banquet and headed straight home.
