A figure leapt down from the trees at the side.
Before she could land, Qin Fu intervened, freezing the power of the void in the air. Gravity exploded, twisting the figure instantly into pieces.
Gu Gu swooped down, retrieving the white treasure chest she had dropped, and Qin Fu reluctantly took it back.
This marked the fifth assassin Qin Fu had dealt with in recent days. The white treasure chest alone had collected three, and the Source of the World had risen by another 1%.
"These are just the first few. I need to handle them carefully if I want to reach Xuanwu Kingdom within three days," Qin Fu muttered to himself.
He glanced around. "Can anyone tell me what's going on with these assassins popping up one after another? Can the one on the tree explain?"
He waved the [Secret Scepter], summoning the "Power of the Void, Cang" instantly.
A laugh drifted on the wind, scented and teasing. Qin Fu frowned and quietly formed a mask with his void energy.
"This handsome little lord really doesn't know how to pity fragrance and cherish jade," the voice cooed.
"People are so beautiful—what a pity if they clash."
Qin Fu's gaze fixed on the woman who had appeared out of nowhere. Naturally, he knew who she was.
Manju Shahua—renowned for her mastery of poison and hidden weapons.
He didn't yet know why she had come. Quietly, he launched a detection technique.

Manju Shahua blinked, appearing almost pitiable.
"Oh, young master, you truly are ruthless… it pains me so."
Qin Fu narrowed his eyes, letting void energy swell around the scepter.
Seeing him serious, Manju Shahua quickly spoke up.
"I was sent by the leader to deliver a token to you. The assassins you've met on the road… that was part of the test. Truthfully, with your strength, even facing Mei Daxia, these formalities shouldn't matter. But rules are rules."
She tossed a token etched with the number eight toward him.
Qin Fu did not reach for it. Instead, he wrapped it in void energy, and the purple-red vapor of the token began to dissipate. His gaze turned cold.
Gu Gu expanded in size, wings spreading to five meters—a terrifying presence in the sky.
Manju Shahua's expression shifted as tension rose. Hastily, she clarified:
"Don't misunderstand me. I mean nothing else."
Qin Fu leveled the scepter at her, voice cold.
"It's rude to arrive unannounced. Since you made a move, you can come and pick me up properly."
"The Power of the Void, heh!"
As he spoke, a silver-gray energy sphere struck Manju Shahua with the force of wind and thunder, gouging a deep ravine in the ground.
Manju Shahua leapt lightly aside, landing gracefully in a tree. She glanced at the scuffs on her clothes, forcing her anger down.
"You don't have to use your full strength against this one," she muttered to herself.
Qin Fu waved dismissively. "If you can withstand my attack, you're worthy of being a shadow assassin. Today, your life is spared."
Before she could respond, her senses screamed in alarm, as though death itself had nearly brushed her.
Before she could think further, Manju Shahua rolled aside clumsily, unable to care about elegance in her current state.
By the time she regained her bearings, Qin Fu was already perched on Gu Gu's back, soaring toward Xuanwu Kingdom.
Obviously, the sense of danger she had felt moments ago had been Qin Fu's teleportation.
Manju Shahua clenched her fists, anger flaring as she watched him vanish into the distance.
"Ahhh!!"
Not only was she enraged, the entire forest seemed to tremble with her frustration.
Meanwhile, Qin Fu calmly looked at the mission hints that had just appeared before him.
